Washington insiders have never really understood the Tea Party movement since its inception.  They have tried to belittle it, co-opt it and control it.  Now another Washington insider is trying to tell the Tea Party movement what to do and act as its leader.

Who is this Washington insider?

Ned Ryan of American Majority.

Yesterday, he released a statement where he told Michele Bachmann to get out of the race because she is damaging the Tea Party movement.

Really Ned?

Who appointed you leader and spokesperson of this movement?

In my opinion, Michele Bachmann needs to stay in this race and a Washington insider like Ned Ryan needs to stop trying to tell this movement what to do.

Michele Bachmann probably is more closely associated with the Tea Party than any other politician.  She launched the Tea Party caucus in congress and has spoken at many rallies.

True, Bachmann’s campaign has had troubles.  Most campaigns have had some kind of trouble.  But we are still early in the season and most importantly, no votes have been cast.

There are only two reasons why Michele Bachmann should leave the race.   The first is if she feels that she should leave the race and the second is if the voters send her that message.

Michele Bachmann is a passionate, articulate and graceful voice in this movement.  It is not up to a Washington insider to tell her when she should or should not leave the race. Nor is it their place to pronounce that she is harming this movement.

Michele Bachmann is one of those people I have nothing bad to say about.

Everyone knows a month ago I endorsed Newt Gingrich for President.  I have a lot of kind words to say about Michele Bachmann and think the world of her, but that does not change my endorsement of Newt Gingrich.   Gingrich has shown himself to be the smartest man on the stage at the debates.  He has shown himself to have the demeanor and character of a leader.  Gingrich is the visionary that can make him the next Ronald Reagan.

Ned Ryun did not earn his stripes with this movement as it began.  He was not out there organizing rallies with us.  He was simply another Washington insider who saw the power of this movement and wanted to claim a part of it for himself.

One of Ryun’s complaints about Bachmann is the fear that she is “hurting the credibility of the movement.” The messages we get from people worried about the “credibility of the movement” are people that are not concerned about our movement at all.  People like Ned Ryun are the one’s who will damage this movement.  In his missive telling Bachmann she should not run, he also tells the movement what it believes.

The spark that started this movement was the incredible Obama spending binge.  But that is not all that motivates this movement.   A vast majority of the people who make up the Tea Party movement are not only fiscal conservatives but social conservatives as well.

Ryun presumes to not only tell Bachmann that she cannot run as a Tea Party candidate but to tell those of us who are rank and file members of this movement what we will support, or perhaps what we cannot support and call ourselves Tea Party members.

We need more Tea Party people like Michele Bachmann out there, engaging the battle for our beliefs and trying to change America.  We do not need any more Washington insiders telling us what to do.

The real issue is the abysmal Obama record.

Over 11 million homes in forclosure, 45% of the workforce under the age 30 unemployed, massive unemployment for all citizens, an unprescedented federal deficit, more businesses closing every day, 3 of 4 college grads have no job offers,  illegal aliens running wild, $3.50 /gallon gasoline and spending way out of control.

I'd like to see Michelle Bachmann talking more and more about the state of affairs in America and how she will turn things around and less about repealing Obamacare. I get the point about repealing Obamacare but we've got far bigger problems to solve right now.

I look at all the coments and see nothing but criticism of presidential candidates, Rino's etc. You are sounding like the liberals because they have nothing positive to say to backup their positions,  Why not go posititive.  Do you favor a candidate in the Presidential race?  Bring out your views to show their strenghts.  Are you part of a local Tea Party group or do you simple add comments to Tea Party Nation?  Our local Tea Party Patriot group do positive things in the community,  We have various events such as the Freedom Day event, constitution study group meetings, and we are involved in running the animal shelter when the mayor asked for help.  When you work from a positive aspect people will respond to you views.  Try it!

Donald, that's good advice!

I love Michelle Bachmann.  However, if we tea party types don't consolidate behind one candidate, I fear Romney will be the nominee......ugh!
GeT OUT of the way Ned Ryun. You are WRONG to make such a judgement on Michelle Bachmann aor on any hard running dedicated GOP candidate.
Bachmann is the most conservative candidate running. She is what this country needs at this time. It would be a big mistake for her to duck out before the first primary.  Look how McCain was very far back in the pack and became the nominee. Of course I doubt that Soros would back Bachmann as he did McCain.
I refuse to settle for the media and liberal choice Romney. Settle for Romney & this is what we get!

A perfectly oiled weathervane.

That's all you need to know about Romney.
