Urgent Action: Stop this bad debt ceiling bill
If we thought the Boehner Bill was bad, he and Mitch McConnell have taken the White Flag of Surrender to new heights.
Everyone must wear their Congressmen out to stop this bill.
Here are the low lights:
First it contains a massive $2.4 trillion dollar increase in the debt ceiling.
It contains almost no immediate spending cuts.
The Deficit commission that is going to be created by this nightmare bill will be equally divided between six Democrats who want massive tax hikes and six Republicans who will look for the first opportunity to surrender, much as John Boehner.
The bill also calls for massive cuts in defense and allegedly in entitlements if the Deficit Commission is deadlocked or otherwise cannot come up with more budget cuts. The deficit commission will have the option of recommending tax hikes. The Bush tax cuts will be gone. Capital gains will be raised from 15% to 28%, destroying investment. Middle class deductions, such as home mortgage interest will be gone.
In short, by the end of the year, the left will have everything it wants. It will have massive new borrowing to cripple the economy. It will have massive new tax hikes and it will gut defense spending. About the only thing it won’t do is repeal the Bill of Rights. They are saving that for next year.
This bill is so incredibly bad and the worst part is it will give the Democrats the political cover they need. The GOP will not be able to pin this one on the Democrats because Boehner and McConnell brought this to the Republicans and the Republican House passed it!
Folks we have to act today. Call, fax, email, tweet and visit your Congressman’s office. Tell them that if this bill passes and they vote for it, it is war. I don’t care who the Congressman is, we will find a Tea Party candidate to run against them.
As a rule, at Tea Party Nation, we do not believe in threatening Congressmen but this bill is so bad we have no choice. We have to make the GOP Representatives fear the loss of their jobs. That is the only way they can overcome the pressure the House Leadership will be putting on them.

wow! they are amazing. they don't hesitate to cut defense spending even though our military is spread thin and using old equipement while they have been fighting for 10 years and meanwhile countries like china and iran keep building up their forces. our government finally came out and officially said iran backs alqueda. brilliant! i quess they were the only ones that did not know this. right after 9-11 bush said in his speech that iran was part of it but as soon as obama took office he said no more cia to help the opposition to iran. whatever you do congres and obama don't you dare not fund those critical programs like planned parenthood or npr or public television and keep that foreign aid goint to china and the muslim caliphate especially those poor palestinians who now we have two american palestinians who killed or planed to kill american soldiers at fort hood but they are not terrorists they are just murderers. unbelievable.

We can't even keep our soldiers in the proper protective clothing let alone armour, and they are going to cut them off from that moreso?????????????????????????????????????? TELL YOUR CHILDREN TO COME HOME! Tell them the Oath they swore needs to be defended from the DOMESTIC ENEMIES in DC! Where the hell are our Military Leaders? Why have they not lifted a finger to fulfill the DOMESTIC ENEMY part of it? Dear GOD! We need them home. BEFORE THEY DON'T HAVE THE GAS TO GET HOME! America...do you not see the plot thickening????

unfortunately the only ones opposing obama are retired military heros like major general paul valelly of stand up for america etc. there are a lot if retired military greats that are mad as hell but the ones in the military are doing what they are told but im sure they are mad as hell too.

I agree. This is genuinely smoke and mirrors. The mantra is already beginning about how this is all we can get. I am sorry, I cannot disagree more. We can get more, and we need to get more.
In expanding the debt ceiling once again, all we are doing is funding many, many programs that we have no business being involved in.
Maybe the Statists in Washington should consider pulling their chief job-killing mechanism out of play right now, which is Obamacare. If they did this, instead of the other cuts they are proposing, I think I may consider this proposal, but it still falls far short of where we need to get in the short term.
This proposal only hands the Statists in Washington an additional blank check to continue their failed policies, and fund there corporate and union crony buddies, so that the money can be funneled back into their Democrat coffers in time for the 2012 elections.
In essence we are voting to fund their fight against us in the next election.
This is the same pattern that is evident in the fact that on a larger scale we are funding the building of the Chinese military, including their naval forces, and funding Hamas in Palestine to fight against our allies in the middle east, as well as a long list of other funding projects such as is taking place on the battlegrounds across this great land - and world-wide, fighting against the funding of abortions with taxpayer dollars.

Hold the line. Do not give in to this game, and quit allowing them to attempt to dupe us into idiocy. Are you not tired of these games?

Call your congressman! Call them all. Several at least..... Calls are the quickest. If you can get through.
Cut spending....back to '07 levels. Across the board. Defund the EPA, the DOE. Schools are State and local...defund Federal spending.
We are out of money....
Today is the most important day for these activities...take the time this morning.

Whatever the reason, it was the emergence of the Tea Party as the most powerful grassroots pressure group in America that laid the groundwork for Sunday night’s deal. The fact that polling showed Obama getting the better of the debt ceiling debate barely mattered. The 2010 elections brought to Congress a group of Republicans theologically committed to cutting government. And they have proved more committed, or perhaps just more reckless, than anyone else in Washington.
