A wise friend of mine once said, “There is nothing new under the sun or in politics.  You should steal a good idea as often as you can.”

In 1994, Newt Gingrich had a brilliant idea.  He offered the Contract with America.  It was a list of ten things the GOP would do if the American people gave it the majority in the House.

As we go into this fall’s election, the Tea Party needs to do the same thing.   This Wednesday, the Tea Party Caucus will meet on Capitol Hill in DC.  The members of the Tea Party Caucus will be there, as will a number of leaders from various Tea Party groups.

I am fortunate and have been given the opportunity to speak to the Caucus for a few minutes.

I am going to talk about a Tea Party Agenda for this fall.

We need something specific to tell the American people that if you elect Tea Party candidates to office in the Senate and the House, this is what we are going to do.  We need good, simple and workable ideas.

The Tea Party Agenda should have five or six items on it.  These need to be 90% issue.  If you are not familiar with the term “90% issue” it is a term I use to refer to issues that 90% of Americans will agree with.

Why five or six issues?  It is simple.  The leadership of the House of Representatives is not sympathetic to the Tea Party movement.  John Boehner will give it lip service but last year under his watch, the House approved spending that was 3% higher than when Nancy Pelosi ran the House.  He surrendered on every major issue including the budget and the debt ceiling.  Eric Cantor has shown scant more leadership, with his Young Guns PAC helping out RINO Richard Lugar against Tea Party Candidate Richard Mourdock.

These need to be issues that the leadership of the House and the new Republican leadership in the Senate have to address.  We need to find good issues that would simply be too painful for the leadership to ignore or let die.  We need those 90% issues that are popular with the American people.  We need issues we can point to as victories next year.

What are those issues?

This is where I need your help.  This movement remains a leaderless movement.  It is bottom up, grassroots.  I could stand up and announce the five or six items that would be the Tea Party Agenda.   That and fifty dollars is going to get me a small cup of coffee at Starbucks.

These issues must come from the people, so I am asking each of you to do the following.  Take the link to this blog and share it on every Tea Party and liberty website you can.  Share it on Facebook and on the pages of Facebook groups.  We need people to come on to this site and suggest items for the Tea Party Agenda.

I need people to come to Tea Party Nation because there needs to be one central site.

I am going to make the first contribution for what should be on the Tea Party Agenda.  Louisiana Congressman John Fleming has proposed HR 2680.  This is the Federal Realignment and Closure Commission bill.  The idea behind the bill is that a commission goes through the Federal budget, looking for agencies and programs that are wasteful, duplicative or have just failed.  These would be targeted for elimination.

The commission would submit its findings to Congress for an up or down vote, without amendments.  Pork barrel projects and earmarks could not be protected.  Then it would go on to the President for signature or veto.

With the Government Accountability Office having identified hundreds of billions of dollars in waste and fraud, this is an easy 90% issue.  90% of Americans are outraged by government waste and fraud.  90% of Americans believe we are spending too much and our debt is now a major problem.

What other issues can we put into a Tea Party Agenda?

This is a grassroots effort and we need your input.

What issues should we put in the Agenda?

Citizens in The United States of America must realize that "WE"  do not live in a country that is a "Pure Democracy" (The Majority Always Rule) But rather in a "Constutional Republic" (There are Principles that We Have Already Agreed Upon and No Conditions or Pressure from a Majority or Powerful Group Can Change).

The "Rule of Our Law" was decided in (1787) by Divine Guidance (GOD Guided the Hand of Jefferson & The Others to "Forge the Document called The Constitution of The United States of America.

"The Blessings of Liberty".

One last thought: SPECIFICITY.

The title of the first section of every military regulation is PURPOSE and the second paragraph of every second section of every military regulation is SCOPE. These two paragraphs specify the intent of the regulation and the scope of the regulation - i.e.: "Applies only to all active military personel."

If the same approach were taken to all legislation offered by congress, we would not have our military appropriations bill cited as the authority for the building of a billion dollar dam across a dry stream bed in some congressman's nephew's dust farm.

I spent 30 years writing regulations and other types of military directives for the U.S. Army and I agree fully that their format should be used for every bill for law and any other directive by government.

I do know your age but I am 67. I have seen "many Seasons come & go". I have also observed certain groups in the USA and to the extent they will go to "have their way".

The National Republican & Democratic Parties have had "their way" concerning "Political Candidates that Represent Them".  To hell with what "We The People" want...The Party Heads "Believe" that we have annoited them "to speak for us".

The Tea Party movement has been more effective than any other group in 50 years at changing the course of events in american politics. Both Left & Right hate the "Tea Party movement" because we have not estalished ourselves, as a "politican party", where they "can kick our brains out".

We have basically be little "rogue packs" that have brought presure to bear on both sides.

Blacks (as a group) hate the Tea Party Movement because "The Civil Rights movement" for the first time in 50 years have had to take a back seat to "The Tea Party Movement" and the "OWS Movement"!

So, we will continue to "Fight the Good Fight" !

as i said below, we need to back some freshman dems. to show we are NOT an arm of the gop.

I think we should consider backing some  freshmen democrats who are blue dogs or moderates, in areas where dems will win anyway.  that would show that we are NOT  an arm of the republican party.  lets help them get rid of some of those nasty career politicans like chuck schumer, maxine waters,  nancy pelosi, the shrew in the pink cowboy outfit, and whomever else  is on the chopping block.

I am deeply sad and ashamed of our Government officials for placing our Men and Woman in harms way within a War that in part is a lie of why we went to war in the first place. Its as if my soul will never rest until I keep my word to these Men and Woman of the United States Military and have them brought home and not in 2014.

Dear President Obama, the American People are not asking you to withdraw from Afghan,  We The People are Ordering You to do so.....

This one news story is one of a great many found in the Matrix of The Net. One to many if I was to be asked.

You must understand, Mr.Obama its not personal its only business. And I do not have a understanding of words to share with the American People, my mind is so lost by the issues from 9/11 to now and its as if you all feel you have become the Untouchables. You see sir, your political career may be coming to a end, but do you wish to be remembered like this ?  One of the many of our Government who lost their Faith In God, and sold your soul for a dollar for a Health Care Concept for Narcotics.

For most of the American People if I may be so bold to speak in their behalf, "We Have Been In The Company of Death Long Enough".

An American soldier guarded the Interior Ministry in Kabul, Afghanistan, after two Americans were killed inside on Saturday.

By GRAHAM BOWLEY and ALISSA J. RUBIN

KABUL, Afghanistan — Two American officers were shot dead inside the Interior Ministry building here on Saturday, and NATOresponded by immediately pulling all its advisers out of Afghan ministries in Kabul, in a deepening of the crisis over the American military’s burning of Korans at a NATO military base.

I can tell  by looking at this picture that the "Afgan Police" and "US Soldiers" should not be serving together !  If, this is a NATO or American "Compound" the Afgan Police need to be on the damn street and the Americans inside "The Perimeter of the Area  to Be Secured". If, this is an Afgan "Compound" then the Afgans can "protect it".

We were not "invited" to Afganistan but rather we occupied the area and said, "We are here to help you"!

They hate our damn guts and will "Kill as many Americans and NATO Forces as possible".

Whoever, is signed on to this "Shiite Mess" does not have the "Safety & Security" of US Forces as a priority.

David, why so shy?

I am second generation Military Intelligence and I have lived in the middle east (Iran, Saudi, Kuwait, etc) for a number of years.

You are absolutely correct - RULES OF ENGAGEMENT!

I was working with the Shah's brother when Jaleh Square masacre occurred (Black Friday 1978) in Tehran and was disgusted when he explained how General Oveisi was about to announce his "retirement" = MANDATED BY JIMMY CARTER! His "retirement" rekindled the revolution that was all but broken into ashes at Jaleh Square.

As a two tour Vietnam Combat Vet, the crap in the middle east has had bad impacts on some of us... de ja vu all over again.

Personally, I strongly believe that NOBODY - military officers or politicos in Washington - should have the slightest input on "RULLES OF ENGAGEMENT" UNTIL THEY HAVE SERVED NOT LESS THAN NINETY (90) DAYS ON THE FRONT LINES.

"Like" if you DO NOT agree that the Republican Party is the party of the open door, the party of liberty, the party of equality, of opportunity for all, and favoritism for none.

"Comment" if YOU DO, - well its free to do both.
