The Party of Treason is really losing it now.

Although it is their policies that have wrecked the economy, who are they blaming?

From the Daily Caller:

Are Republican lawmakers deliberately stalling the economic recovery to hurt President Barack Obama’s re-election chances? Some top Democrats say yes, pointing to GOP stances on the debt limit and other issues that they claim are causing unnecessary economic anxiety and retarding growth.

The latest Democratic complaint came after House Speaker John Boehner said Tuesday that when Congress raises the nation’s borrowing cap in early 2013, he will again insist on big spending cuts to offset the increase. Boehner, R-Ohio, continues to reject higher tax rates, which Democrats demand from the wealthy.

That led Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to say Boehner is virtually assuring another debt-ceiling crisis as bad or worse than the one that shook financial markets nine months ago.

“The last thing the country needs is a rerun of last summer’s debacle that nearly brought down our economy,” Schumer said in a statement. In an interview, Schumer added: “I hope that the speaker is not doing this because he doesn’t want to see the economy improve, because what he said will certainly rattle the markets.”

Boehner responded in a statement: “Republicans have passed nearly 30 bills that would help small businesses create jobs and we are waiting on Senate Democrats to vote on these common-sense measures. The failure to act on these jobs bills, as well as our crushing debt burden, is undermining economic growth and job creation.”

Let’s get this straight.  The last time the Republicans controlled the government in 2007, unemployment was at 4.6%, gas was a little over $2 a gallon and there had been 52 straight months of economic growth.

The Democrats take the House and Senate in 2007 and the White House in 2009 and some how it is the Republicans’ fault that Democrat economic policy has destroyed the American economy?

If we had a real media, they would be all over this.  Unfortunately the mainstream media is now fully an arm of the Democrats.

Real Americans know and understand whose fault it is that we are enduring the Great Obama Depression.

And they will remember in November.

Unfortunately, Schumer is not a moron. He is just a consummate Democrat, willing to say anything to get reelected.

...and as was stated on TPN earlier today, Bush's budget deficit for the year 2007 was only 161 Billion and being reduced year-to-year.

i believe that both parties are equally guilty. And yes, they are working to collapse the US economy.

"EQUALLY" guilty!  "EQUALLY?????????"

(Sorry I yelled...not!)

I don't blame you in this case  --  "case", yes, a case.

Wake up, DebraJoe.

You are talking like a demented Ron Pauler.

After a statement like yours ("...both parties are equally guilty.....working to collapse the US economy.") would you care to document two things for me: [Correct answers in brackets]

1. What was the Root Cause of the Mortgage Crisis? [Carter's Affordable Housing - Sub-prime Mortgages]

2. What happened to the economy and to tax revenue when Reagan and GWB lowered tax rates? [A Boom]

I agree.

Well...DUH!

Well, if Obama loses the WH and the Dems the Senate, I suspect they'll try to blame Turkeys or Santa Claus... maybe both. Rudolph might catch some heat as well.

I would never hire anyone not knowing what is the Govt going to do next.

The last thing this country needs, Senator Schumer, is to add another $2 trillion to the national debt. Growth? Are you kidding me? Cut spending first then reform the tax code, then and only then talk about increasing taxes. And no .1% spending cuts either. You need to take a meat axe to the EPA, the Department of Energy, the Department of Education, and the Department of Agriculture for starters.
