What is the best thing that could happen this year?  There are some really good things that could happen to us individually but what is the one thing that could really help this nation?

No, winning the lottery is not on that list.

What is the best thing that could happen to this nation?

It is the year of the Tea Party Senators.

We have a great chance to elect a Tea party Senate this year and that class of freshman Tea Party Senators could have a huge impact on the direction of this nation.  We already have three of the Tea Party Senators who have moved passed the primary and are going to the general election.  They are Richard Mourdock in Indiana, Josh Mandel in Ohio and Deb Fischer in Nebraska.

Next Tuesday, Ted Cruz in Texas takes on the Establishment in a crucial race.  He is facing David Dewhurst who is the Lt. Governor that was described by one newspaper as “weird, spooky and rich.”

Ted Cruz’s website is here.  Contact them today and ask what you can do to help as his primary is next Tuesday.

The next two races that come after that involve two great candidates who really do need help.  Jamie Radtke is the first Tea Party activist who has come out of this movement to run for office.  She is running in Virginia for the United States Senate against former Senator George Allen.  In Maine, Scott D’amboise is running for the GOP Senate nomination.  He has a huge fight because he must fight the Republican establishment in Maine, which has had a slobbering love affair with RINOs Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins.

Both of these races have been flying under the radar for a lot of people.  These are both races we need to get above the radar and we need to let people know about them.  Both Jamie Radtke and Scott D’amboise need support as they now move into the home stretch of their races.

Jamie’s website is here.   Scott’s website is here.

The other big race looming on the horizon is Dan Liljenquist’s race in Utah.  Sarah Palin just endorsed his opponent Orrin Hatch.   Many of us in the conservative movement are very disappointed by this endorsement.  Hatch, who was Ted Kennedy’s best friend in the Senate, is one of those Republicans who loved to reach across the aisle but never managed to help get Democrats on board to support Republican plans.   His support of the SCHIP (children’s insurance big government boondoggle) was bad enough.  His buddy Ted Kennedy got him on that.  But then to claim has he did that he had no idea the program would expand to the money wasting program it has become is simply ludicrous.

Dan’s website is here.

Please take a moment and share this blog post with your friends.

It is very easy to share blogs that get you outraged and I love writing those barn burning, get you out of your seat screaming pieces.  They are a lot of fun.

However, this is more important that just raising hell.  We all love to get outraged but simply being outraged does not change anything.   We have a great opportunity this year if we put Tea Party conservatives in the Senate and put more Tea Party conservatives in the House.

This is our year.  This is the year of the Tea Party Senate.

But it is our year, only if we act to make it so.

Sarah endorsed Hatch???? WTH????

You're right Kristin. Hatch needs to go and Palin must not be paying attention.

I was curious and researched how he voted on the two unqualified SC justices...and a qualified justice, Clarence Thomas.  Hatch voted AGAINST Sotamayer and Kagen...and really supported Thomas.

Sarah Palin endorsed Vaughn Ward in 2010.  I didn't agree with that, at all...and we have Raul Labrador, who is a great rep.

We lost out in Idaho when Helen Chenowyth went with only two terms, as promised.  The baby was thrown out with the bath water, as she was a great lady.  She was my choice for the first Lady President (sadly, that can never happen).  Sarah Palin is my current choice.

Michael Savage had some comments on this endorsement, as well.  Of course, in his mind, nobody is as intelligent as he is....so he frequently resorts to condescending remarks against those who don't have the school record he has.  He apparently feels qualified to designate what sort of work others should do...kinda like the socialists commonly do.

I appreciate the folks who have common sense.  I really am not impressed with the piece of paper, so much.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for bringing me down first thing in the morning.

Kristin:

Sarah owes no loyalty to "Anyone".....so she is a "Free Agent to do as she pleases".  She certainly got no loyalty from  the Republicans...in fact, they did all they could to destroy Sarah and her family !

Ron

I don't think it is a question of loyalty. It is a question of supporting Hatch.

Thomas:

I was thinking in terms of Sarah "supporting" McCain. I think that was due to loyalty for his selection ( although the GOP Big Dogs picked her) of her to run with him for VP.

Ron

She is endorsing Hatch because he is unequivocally in favor of a balanced budget amendment. That was the only reason she gave during her segment on Hannity last night. I don't get it either.

Thanks

Now THIS IS THE KIND OF STUFF we need here. The "barn burning seat screaming" items are fun to read and it does do us good to get our blood boiling sometimes, but this is a meat and potatos serious article, another thing we MUST DO in this election.

Semper Fi

Good article Judson. Kristin's right... Sarah Palin endorsing Orrin Hatch??? What a mistake!

Judson--

What is TPN's position for the Michigan primary race in August?

We surely would like to "Dump Debbie" Stabenow!!!  What say your "tea leaves?"
