There is a list of really bad Congressmen.  The good news is the overwhelming majority of those on the list are members of the Party of Treason.  The bad news is there are a few really bad GOP Congressmen and they do need to be replaced.

Who is the worst GOP Congressman?

There are several who would be in the running for that title, including Speaker John Boehner.  However, one who should be on that list, if not the winner is a Congressman from Louisiana, Charles Boustany.

Boustany has been a Congressman since 2005.  By profession he is a Doctor.  He is also tied into the Democratic Louisiana political structure because his wife is the niece of the former Louisiana Democratic Governor and convicted felon Edwin Edwards.

As a Republican in Congress his message has been simple.  Let’s borrow more money and let’s spend more money.  Four times during his tenure, he has voted to raise the debt ceiling.

  • S. 365 - Budget Control Act - on 8/1/2011 at $2,100 billion (1 of 174 Republicans)
  • H.R.1424 - Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (Bailout) - on 10/3/2008 at $700 billion (1 of 91 Republicans)
  • H.R.3221 - Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 - on 7/23/2008 at $800 billion (1 of 45 Republicans)

*H.J.RES.47* - Increasing the statutory limit on the public debt - on 4/28/2005 at $781 billion (1 of 214 Republicans)

His votes helped raise the debt ceiling $4.3 trillion dollars.

He voted for $2 billion in funding for Obama’s cash for clunkers program.  The real down side to that program is that Americans could not trade in their clunker congressmen, such as Boustany.

He has constantly voted for more spending and on Capitol Hill he is considered one of John Boehner’s most reliable votes.   Anything Boehner wants, Boustany will do.

One of the worst of Boustany’s votes was last year when he voted for the Debt Ceiling compromise.  He said the compromise was the best move.  Boustany is one of those Republicans who is always looking for “compromise.”  When compromise is your goal, surrender is always your first option.

Louisiana has some great Republican congressmen, including John Fleming and Jeff Landry.

Jeff Landry has been a real Tea Party hero on Capitol Hill.  He was an insurgent candidate in 2010, defeating the former Speaker of the Louisiana House to become a Congressman.   The establishment in Louisiana fought back and redistricted Landry into Boustany’s district and stripped away many of the areas that Landry had done well in back in 2010.

Landry is a great Congressman who is a member of the Tea Party Caucus and who is there for the right reasons.  He was one of the Congressmen that held up the debt ceiling deal last year.

Boustany is a poster child for everything that is wrong with the Republican Party.

Now that Landry has been redistricted into Boustany’s district, the question is will Jeff Landry run against Boustany?

He has not said.

Let’s hope he decides to.  We need more Tea Party Congressmen like Jeff Landry and fewer establishment clunker Congressmen like Charles Boustany.

We in the Tea Party should encourage Jeff Landry to run for a couple of reasons. We need more patriots like Jeff Landry in the Congress.  We also need to show the establishment that they will not simply redistrict Tea Party Congressmen out of office.

If you want to show support to Jeff Landry, his twitter account is @repjefflandry.

His Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/repjefflandry.  Join me in encouraging Jeff Landry to take on the RINO Congressman Charles Boustany.  We need more real conservatives in Washington and few tax, borrow and spend politicians.

Thanks for the information. And do remember Boehner must go!

OK before I even make a comment about the Artical, I would LOVE to know why there is an ad at the top of THIS page, that say's, "Don't let the Tea Party take over, Donate today." ??? Ummmm.

Well we took over one RINO, let's add another and another and replace ALL of the liberals that are there. There is a ton of work to do, we have a lot that we have to fix as soon as possible. And the only way to fix the issues that we currently have, are by replacing all the bad guy's and spend kings and queens. We did it once and we can and will do it again and again. :D

I never noticed that add.

Google ads places those.  I've started blocking the liberal ads but it is taking a while.

No way can you keep up with Google AdSense! The ads often even vary by ISP and geographic region.

Different members often see different ads simultaneously, as noted above. Some are strictly regional.

Looks like the folks from Louisiana need to do some serious House cleaning in November☺

Good job, Mr. Phillips. We need to focus on doing the right thing not "what side are you on?" It makes things much simpler when your criteria is 'what is the correct waty to proceed' rather than 'what is the correct way to proceed that will most benefit our side'.

Good god is that ad about not letting the TP take over the Senate at the top of this page an ad for contributing to Joe Donnelly's campaign?  I do believe he's a democrat running for the Senate seat in Indiana.  Is this a subtle hint that TPN is supporting his bid for the seat?

No it is google ads.  We are trying to do something about it.

Google ads has a crawler that spots a site with political comments.  When key words are frequently hit on a site, Google ads inserts its own paid ads without regard to the political bias of the site.  It is difficult to fight the monolithic (as in unyielding) Google. Hope this is helpful in your understanding.

Bastards. They (Google) know better.  Shows you clearly (once again) which side of the fence they're on. I just can't figure out why Silicon Valley is so pro-Obama and pro-liberal, given that every piece of legislation, regulation, tax, fees, etc passed by either the feds or the state of CA is against them and against all entrepreneurial small businesses that are innovators.  Makes no sense at all.  It must be some kind of stupefying drug in the water in the People's Republic of Northern California up there...

Let 'em run the ad for Donnelly here.......maybe it won't show up where DONNELLY wants it.  AS IF anyone here is going to see it and think...'OH.....he sounds good!'......LOL!
