Unless you are one of the three people left who still has some respect for Barack Obama, you probably have a good nickname for him. The Thief in Chief, or the Chief Bovine Scatologist, or the Narcissist in Chief are a few. The Usurper is another. How about we add a new one that is very accurate: The Whiner in Chief.
What has he done to merit this nickname?
Perhaps you have heard of the GSA scandal. In 2010, the Public Buildings Service, an arm of the General Services Administration spent almost a million dollars on a conference in Las Vegas, which can only be described as a massive party on steroids.
Participants even made jokes about wasting taxpayer dollars.
This is one of those moments that outrage Americans.
What was Obama’s response?
He blamed Bush. Of course, the tried and true formula is to deny responsibility and blame someone who has not been in office in three years.
Earth to Barry. Man up! This happened on your watch. If this had happened six weeks into the Obama Regime, Barry could blame Bush. It happened a year and a half into the Obama Regime.
The Government Services Agency and the Public Building Services spent money like Drunken Democrats. Given the infamous conference was in Las Vegas, a lot of them probably were drunk. Given the way they treated taxpayers, most of them probably are Democrats.
Washington is reacting in typical Washington fashion. The problem to them is not that the GSA wasted taxpayer dollars the way that they did. The problem is the scandal came out and is so outrageous that even the drive-by media cannot ignore it.
The House and the Senate want to hold hearings into this matter, which will be mostly an exercise in getting Congressmen and Senators’ faces on TV so they can act excessively outraged. They can thunder and scream and put on a good dog and pony show so they can try to convince the American people they are doing something about this problem.
Unfortunately, they cannot even figure out what the problem is.
The problem is not government employees gone wild. The problem is Congress spends too much money!
We could blame the Party of Treason for this. After all they are the ones who want to spend money like there is no tomorrow or even no today after 5 PM. But it isn’t just the Democrats doing this. Under John Boehner and a Republican Congress, last year the Congress spent more money than it had the year before when the Obama, Pelosi, Reid axis of fiscal evil had full control over the government.
Over a year ago, the General Accounting Office reported hundreds of billions of dollars in waste, fraud and duplication of services that exist in the Federal Budget and that could be eliminated.
That report made the news cycle for about 48 hours and has been completely forgotten. None of the waste has been cut.
Now we can add more to that tally of waste. We can add GSA conferences and parties.
Unless we get conservatives to control the Senate, we can expect more of this.
Unless we get people like Jamie Radtke in Virginia, Ted Cruz in Texas, Richard Mourdock in Indiana, Scott D’amboise in Maine and Sarah Steelman in Missouri into the Senate, the waste, fraud and abuse that is the Federal Budget will continue to grow.
And if that happens, we will continue to be slaves to a bloated and out of control government.

Permalink Reply by Katie Kalpin on April 9, 2012 at 8:08am If we look at the real reason that we are in major debt, most can be traced back to the dumburats parties, I am sure of that. They just spend like my husbands greedy ex-wife. It is amazing to me. I watch every dime I spend even though I don't really need to. I guess we call that...responsibility. Wow what a concept. Unreal that they would do this and then mock US, the tax payers out. I say we stop paying taxes for a time and see how they like it. I am just down right sick of these people and Berry REALLY needs to start taking responsiblity for his actions. I would have more respect for him if he would just man up on these things and apologize to US, I know he knows how to apologize he does it all the time..FOR US, when we didn't ask him to. This is total B.S.

Can't "Man Up" when you are not a man ! Barack is a sissy in pants. He tries to "act" like a man but never had a male role model and does not know how to do anything but what mama, michelle or the girls tell him.

Permalink Reply by Juls on April 9, 2012 at 9:15am Katie, your idea of a tax revolt makes sense - stop feeding the beast. Unfortunately, those who actually pay taxes in April (or on a quarterly basis) are in the minority these days. The only effective tax revolt would have to involve the federal payroll deductions taken from your check and that would require the states to take a leading role. If we could somehow accomplish that, then we would really have something.

Permalink Reply by Nancy on April 9, 2012 at 1:40pm He will go "unchallenged" as of right now on the November ballot here in OH so he will definitely get re-elected--the only chance is for a majority of House members to have the guts to propose/back/vote for someone else for Speaker of the House instead of Bonehead Boehner.
Permalink Reply by Thomas on April 9, 2012 at 8:57am We, our children, our grandchildren and their children have been sold into a century or more of peonage and serfdom by "our" Congresses who consisted of "our" two worse than worthless political parties.
It's not over 'til it's over, but face it--It's over. The fat lady sang her last song during the decade of the nineties. It was just that too few people were listening closely enough to realize that while she was singing her last song the orchestra was playing a funeral dirge for Uncle Sam.
