One week from today, Texas holds its primary for the United States Senate.   Kay Bailey Hutchinson is retiring and there is a real fight to replace here.

The year of the Tea Party Senator continues as Tea Party supporter Ted Cruz fights to win that primary.

From Breitbart.com:

A new poll of the Texas Republican Senate primary race shows conservative candidate Ted Cruz surging to nearly within the margin of error against moderate establishment front-runner David Dewhurst.

The University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll shows Dewhurst at 40 percent and Cruz at 31 percent. Cruz had been trailing the self-financed Dewhurst by over 20 percent, so this poll shows him closing strong.

Early voting started last week in Texas, and the primary is on Tuesday, May 29. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote on Tuesday, the top-two vote getters will be in a run-off election, which will take place on July 31.

"If they're in a runoff, Dewhurst is in trouble," Daron Shaw, the co-director of the poll said.

Shaw said “Cruz has been able to position himself to the right of the lieutenant governor ... and he's done that in a year in which insurgent candidates have been scoring big wins against establishment Republicans.”

Shaw also added that Cruz’s strong numbers and surge are proof that “money isn’t everything.”

This year is the year of the Tea Party Senator.  We are going to send a number of Tea Party supporters and possibly one or two Tea Party activists to the United States Senate.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has endorsed Ted Cruz, and she has been doing robocalls for him.

News sources in Texas are predicting a runoff between Cruz and Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst who was once described by the Austin Chronicle as “weird, spooky and rich.”  Well, he would fit in and be right at home in the United States Senate.

We don’t need anymore weird and spooky people in the Senate.  We need strong conservatives like Ted Cruz.

Once again, it is time for conservatives to go into action for those we support.  Ted’s website is Tedcruz.org.

Go to his website and volunteer to help.  If you are in Texas or can make it to Texas this week, they will need boots on the ground.  Even if you cannot be in Texas, technology makes it possible for you to help no matter where you are.

Even in this late hour the campaign needs money.  Every campaign does.

If possible please contribute to the campaign to help him along.

This is the week of Ted Cruz.  A strong finish guarantees him a runoff position against David Dewhurst.   Most observers believe if the race goes to a runoff, Ted Cruz wins.

Let’s go out and win another one for the conservative cause.

This is the week of Ted Cruz.  A week from today, Texas votes.  Let’s all make sure we have cause to celebrate a week from tonight!

Ted Cruz needs to respond to the negative ads about his Chinese client.  If he is not as depicted in these attack ads, he should clearly and firmly deny them.

The information regarding Ted Cruz's response to the ads about his law firm's Chinese client is on his website:  TedCruz.org

Some of my conservative kin folk in Texas are voting for Glenn Addison who I know nothing about.  Does anyone know why Ted Cruz is a better choice than Addison?  Thanks.

Go to the webpages for both candidates and review the training, the experience and the successful results of each man in moving conservative causes forward.  Then decide for yourself who is best qualified to make a strong impact in the Senate from day!  If you do, I think you'll agree that Ted Cruz is the obvious choice for the people of Texas.

I am also supporting Addison after my conversation with Ted Cruz.  See my post about A one on one conversation with Ted Cruz

Are you implying that Glenn Addison has publicly committed to going afterr Obama about his forged long form BC and the CN SSN?.  I doubt it, but let me know, Judy.  If so I'll contact his campaign to confirm it..

No,  I am not saying  or implying that Addison has said he will go after  Obama, but you are welcome to contact his campaign for his opinion on the matter.  Let me know, I have not voted yet and am still open to changing my mind.

A one on one conversation with Ted Cruz:  I recently attended a Tea Party event in the Woodlands TX.  The speaker was Ted Cruz.  At the end of the speech, Ted stuck around for people to ask questions and get their photo taken with him.  I approached him and asked: "Ted,  if you are the next Senator form Texas will you have the intestinal fortitude to call for an investigation into Barack Obama's criminality in reference to his fraudulent birth certificate, his fraudulent selective service registration, and his use of a social security number that was not assigned to him as well as other evidence that he has used several different alias''s and other social security numbers ?  These are serious issues that thousands of Americans want answers to.  His immediate reply was "NO, no I will not pursue that,  I believe that we need to focus on voting him out of office.  Then the issue will be moot.  I believe it would set a dangerous president to go after the outgoing administration such as has been suggested in regard to Dick Cheney.  Then you would have each party filing criminal charges against each departing administration"  I said:  "Richard Nixon was not able to get away with his criminal behavior, so why should Barack Obama ?"  He asked: "And what was the difference between Nixon and Obama?'  I replied: "Nixon was a republican"  Then Ted said: "The difference was that the Republicans turned on Nixon and the Democrats will never turn on Obama. And they never went after Nixon criminally"  I was not quick enough to remember and state that President Ford issued a pardon to Nixon before any indictments were handed down.  Ted also stated that he was not convinced that there were forgeries.   So, I asked:  "And what if Obama gets re elected by any means possible?  Will you then go after him ?  He answered: " I will do everything in my power to see that his policies are not made into law, but No, I will not pursue him criminally."

I was disappointed in the attitude of Ted Cruz.  In my opinion Ted Cruz is telling me that the President and his administration must be held above the law, that they should be exempt from any criminal prosecution.  I don't go for this at all !  Either we are a nation of laws or we are not. So, Mr.Cruz seems to think that he can pick and choose which parts of the Constitution he will honor.

Will Addison investigate Obama?
