When November 2012 comes around, we can say one thing with absolute certainty. The man or woman who will be fighting Obama to save this country from socialism will be a Republican.
That is why the upcoming battle for the Chairmanship of the RNC is so important to the Tea Party. The Tea Party movement and the Republican Party are not alter egos. But many members of the Tea Party movement are Republican. Even those who are not Republican and do not want to be a part of the Republican Party get it. We cannot have to socialist parties dominating American politics.
There are five people in the race to be the next RNC chair. First is Michael Steele. Steele should be renamed Captain Titanic. It is harder to think of a greater epic fail than Steele’s mismanagement of the RNC. Thanks to Steele’s lack of management, the RNC is $20 million in debt. In the last election, it was so far in the hole, it could not even get out a get out the vote drive. Steele has repeatedly claimed credit for the 2010 electoral victories and Tea Party Nation has repeatedly pointed out, how many Michael Steele rallies were there in 2009/10? And let’s not forget the Steele deputy who thought it was a good idea to take major donors to a bondage club as a fundraiser. While Steele was not a part of that fiasco, he clearly had created a culture at the RNC where his deputy thought that was perfectly acceptable.
Reince Priebus and Maria Cino are the establishment candidates. Priebus, a Milwaukee lawyer, whose firm helped get clients federal stimulus funds, is considered the front-runner. He was a former ally of Steele, who decided Steele was weak enough now he could pull a Brutus and go for the top job. Cino was a lobbyist for Pfizer who helped push through Obamacare. That alone should totally disqualify her for ANY position in the GOP.
Ann Wagner is a conservative, who at one point was the RNC co-chair. To her credit, she has said the Tea Party has a seat at the table. But as this movement has exploded into life in the last two years, where has she been?
Then, there is Saul Anuzis. At Tea Party Nation, we have not been shy in stating that he is the best choice for RNC chair. The Daily Caller in describing the debate said of Anuzis, “alone of all the candidates, Anuzis seems to have a deep grounding in conservative thinking.” In other words, he is a true conservative, not simply someone who gives lip service to conservatism then goes off acting like a drunken Democrat!
As we have said in the past, as we head to 2012 it is open season and RINO is on the menu. Stopping socialism and restoring conservative control of the government is a war that must be fought one battle at a time. One of the most important battles is taking the RNC chair away from the RINOs and putting a good conservative in there. We need you today to call your RNC members. Each state has their own members. Call them and tell them you want a conservative as the next Chairman for the RNC. Call them today and ask them to support Saul Anuzis to be the next Chairman of the RNC.
Attached at the end of this blog is a directory of RNC Members.

Permalink Reply by Longing For Liberty on January 4, 2011 at 9:19am Amen... Gingrich has done many things that discount him (for me) as a Conservative. An amendment in the 90's to the Presidential War Powers Act to further strengthen the Executive Branch's ability to declare war without Congressional Approval had Gingrich support. No thanks! Gingrich is no conservative, and I agree with ya on the GATT/WTO position, will say He atleast the the candor to admit the act DID TRANSFER a huge amount of our sovereignity to a foreign government body.

Please keep in mind that there really isn't much you can do at this point to influence the outcome of this vote. That is, unless you were already a Republican Party precinct committeeman and then, also, a delegate to your state's GOP annual meeting (elected by your fellow precinct committeemen) where you voted to elect your state's two RNC delegates and the other RNC delegate, your state's GOP chairman.
Shouting at these RNC delegates, now, isn't going to change much. If you want to change the Republican Party, you have to get INSIDE IT. As a precinct committeeman. As I've been preaching for the last two years here:
www.theprecinctproject.wordpress.com
Over half of the Republican Party precinct committeeman slots are vacant. It's not hard to become a PC. Conservates: IF you take over all the empty PC slots, then, presto, change-o, you've got yourself a conservative Republican Party. And you'll be in a position to elect conservative leaders. Including a conservative RNC chairman. Do the math. Half of the slots are filled. They are split about 50-50 between conservatives and RINOs. Fill up the empty half with conservatives. That ratio then goes to 75-25 in favor of conservatives.
Folks, this is the "dirty little secret" "the Republicans" -- even the conservatives -- will not tell you. Because even the conservatives are terrified that a re-energized Party will take them out in a primary (many of them, who say they are conservative, are too weak-kneed to FIGHT for our liberties -- can you say Jon Kyl and Mitch McConnell? Do you remember them using the filibuster against the passage of Obamacare? Nope. Their strategy was to "make it better" through amendments. Jeesh!)
Conservatives in Utah figured this out in 2010, and they successfully "retired" RINO Sen. Bob Bennett, which I wrote about here:
www.redstate.com/coldwarrior/2010/05/08/2101-of-3500-of-75000-denie...
We have the numbers to do this everywhere. We just have to UNITE politically INSIDE the Republican Party. As precinct committeemen. Registration as a Republican gets you only the right to vote in the Republican primaries. If you want to vote for the Party leaders, you have to take the next, relatively easy, steps to become a "card carrying member" of the Republican Party -- a precinct committeemen. Please do it NOW -- and take every conservative you know along with you.

Following is an example of one of 4 emails sent to my State Executive Committee of the RNC.
Feel free to copy/paste the Blue portion of the following Email to your State reps, to be found in This File
Executive Director Mr. Gregory Gleaves, Tennessee Republican State Executive Committee
In Re: Chairmanship of the RNC
Dear Sir,
Having briefly examined the records of 5 candidates for this position, I
find that 3 of the 5 candidates proposed have histories that would
cause them to be irrevocably unacceptable as Chairman of the RNC, going
forward.
Ann Wagner seems to be conservative, but has contributed nothing visible in the past 2 years. Why?.
Speaking as an active Board Member of Tea Party Nation, presently the most active Tea Party site on the Internet, I must report that the consensus here is that only
Saul Anuzis would be found as an acceptable Chairman of the RNC, going forward.
I sincerely hope that you take heed to this recommendation. The Tea
Party Movement should be an important ally to the RNC in 2012!
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Vern Shotwell

Keep those cards and letters going, my friends!

We all know Steele is a bum! For every victory the Tea Party had last year, this IDIOT showed up somewhere, trying to take the credit. THAT should send flashing signals to all of us. He is not only a RINO, but he behaves just like a Liberal. Actions speak louder than words, Steele!
I like Saul. In fact, Saul Anuzis is the ONLY one of the five that I would even consider.
Permalink Reply by Fellow Patriot on January 4, 2011 at 12:55pm Excuse me? Social Security and Medicare are monies the government has FORCED us to pay from our paychecks for our entire working career. Money they stole from us, the working tax payer, and our employers. Both were/are no more than an additional tax on the American working person. THEN, the Dems took it out of the protected fund (which would be in the black now) and put it in the general fund and stole it from us again by blowing all of it and replacing it with IOUs. The government just hoped we would all die before being able to collect OUR money and they would get it to keep for their spending addiction.
Don't talk to me about taking "financial assistance" from the government!!!!! It is my money they stole from me in the first place and it is mine for the taking! No different than taking payments from my 401K, Roth, or pension.

OMG, AI! What would I do without you! I completely missed this! Well, either back to the drawing board - or Anuzis must change his stand on this!
