The two-minute drill

Football has its two-minute drill. The idea is simple. There are two minutes left in the game and the team needs a score to tie or win the game. Newt Gingrich has just hit the two-minute warning. It’s the fourth quarter of the campaign and he either needs to score a touch down to get this game into overtime or he’s done.

What does he do?

Get a message. Newt is one of the most brilliant campaigners out there. He is also one of the most undisciplined. The two probably work hand in hand. Figure out your message now and get on it. Keep it simple and keep it positive.
Stay on Message. Ignore Romney. Romney went negative and took Newt off your message. Newt got made and wanted to hit back. Newt’s poll numbers surge when he stays on his message.
Stay positive. People like the positive and the positive message. The positive message offers hope. No one really believes Romney. He has lied so many times his credibility is pretty shot. The establishment wants him because he is one of them and some Republicans want him because of the myth that he is the only one who can beat Barack Obama. But he inspires no one. Newt inspires people.
Get a coach for the debate and prepare. The difference between Romney and Newt in the Florida debate was preparation. Newt looked not only tired but looked like he had not prepared. Debates are his strength, but Romney did better. Romney prepared. Romney figured out how to get inside Gingrich and throw him off his game so there would be no repeat of South Carolina. Even the greatest athletes in the world have coaches to keep them sharp. Romney hired Michele Bachmann’s debate coach before the last debate. If you do not have the best coach out there getting you as prepared as you have ever been, it is game over.
Neutralize Santorum. Santorum is splitting the conservative vote. Romney’s strategy has always been to be the last man standing. He has no competition for the RINO vote. When Santorum makes statements like he can carry Ohio, Pennsylvania, he is advertising his strengths to be the number two guy on the ticket. Santorum has no chance. He will crater with women. Newt has no problem with women compared to Santorum. Sarah Palin blasted Santorum for being a “Neanderthal.”
Unite the party. Newt is the only one who has ever united the party. He did it twice in South Carolina. Do it again at the next debate. At the next debate, the drive by media will be working hand in hand with Romney to take Newt off of his game. He should just ignore them as he has done in other debates and concentrate on his message.

In football terms, the two-minute warning has just sounded. Newt is down by seven. He has the ball first and ten at his own twenty yard line. He’s got to go and score by Super Tuesday to kick this into overtime.

No one doubts that Newt can do this. The question is will he?

Is it not utterly fascinating that our current elected disgrace, the president, is dictating the stage of what our political discourse is?

Now in 2008 what was the message? Was it not shrink government, reduce the debt, and begin the process of steering this nation back from its communist actions, to the liberty of its design?

Jobs; think of that comment. How in the hell does the government make jobs? There is no way known to mankind that government makes jobs. They can make employment, paid for by other taxpayers, who have to have jobs to pay the taxes to pay the government employees.

Taxes; we pay too much. The cure, shrink government, not redesigns how we collect taxes.

Newt needs to think of what’s important. Shrink the government, stop the actions of a congress that is as great an enemy to this nation as any foreign entity. And start the journey to restore this nation.

Newt needs an economic solution that does require a $1.5 trillion deficit or negative real interest rate that eliminates the trade deficit.

Apparently they dug up something really serious about Trump. Suddenly all his strong points have become liabilties when he teams up with Christie & Romney.

HELLO, anybody home, knock knock. Shut up the "I won't vote for Romney" BS dang it!!! Just divert the energy to who you're for because we MUST not have Obama again or America is done. PERIOD, end of discussion. Grrrrrr.

If we are headed for the cliff, you better hang on because it could get rough in the next few debates but I cannot see myself voting for Romney and I will not give up on NEWT......2012 has to be the beginning of the end of this disgusting bunch of retards in control of America.......

The process is still unfolding. Newt won SC, Mitt won FL. So what? Newt needs to sharpen his persona and stay on message as was stated. Super Tuesday is coming and that will tell a tale in itself. Mitt is still a RINO, Newt is not. Newt is a statesman, Mitt is a liberal. I am supporting Newt, I think he will do what America needs. It is doubtful the Mitt would.

IN THIS GAME, NEWT is up against the wall. there is only one option that is to regroup and rally back to where he was in SC. I believe NEWT CAN DO IT. SANTORUM'S PEOPLE HV TO SECEDE their push. and join with us for NEWT as well. PAULBOT'S are hopeless as they will not drop PAUL. even the ones who think know PAUL'S CHANCES ARE AN EFFORT IN FUTILITY. therefore we cannot count on PAULBOTS TO SUPPORT NEWT. at all in this race. but we take our plea to santorum supporters to be with US IN NV. as JUDSON POINTS OUT THIS IS THE FINAL CHANCE. we have one more time to get NEWT BACK IN THE RACE AS A FRONT RUNNER. we do not want ROMNEY. IF YOU PEOPLE ARE REALLY SERIOUS IN NV. TO KNOCK ROMNEY OUT. RIGHT ON REVO, this is where we are at. WE HV TO WIN OR RETREAT. FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION HERE. if NV. FALLS. history will have proven that we divided the CONSERVATIVE VOTE SO BADLY. that our TEA PARTIES hv shown not to hv gotten behind and SUPPORTED one GOOD CANDIDATE TO WIN. they only fell and the LOUSY NO GOOD RINO WON. by default of a failure of the tea parties to communicate on a common grassroots ground. shall we or shall we NOT???????.
