I had been planning on writing this for quite some time, but the responses to the post by Judson Phillips' Los Angeles, Mexico has spurred me to let everyone in on a few things. I am subjected to more California bashing and "just give it to Mexico", "Californians are just turds" etc. because of that blog. I and others like me work our butts off on the front lines of this war! I and others like me go toe to toe with La Raza on a daily basis because they have taken over our neighborhoods! I mean that in the physical sense!
To the members of Tea Party Nation, I just want to thank you for making our situation worse and bringing home to me that Californians are on their own. I may need to rethink any other activities other than saving my state. I thought as American's we all were working together to take back our government from the top down. Below, are some of the things none of you know about California, but should.
There is a notion out there that Californians are just crazy liberals, tree huggers, socialists, etc. That is not true for a large number of Californians. As a matter of fact, according to the CA Secretary of State website, there are more counties with Republican voters than Democrat voters. However, two counties account for the higher numbers of Democrat voters overall. Those are San Francisco and Los Angeles. They just happen to have the largest amount of liberal, socialist, marxists, etc. That is not to say there are not very strong Tea Party's and Youth Conservative groups working those areas every day. It is not shown in the media.
There is a notion that the liberals have taken over the State. There are good conservatives working every day to persuade those middle of the road voters to join with us on the issues we agree with (over 50% of our voters fall into that category). Some examples are as follows:
I-Caucus for vetting and endorsing candidates
Tea Party United based in Northern California and working to unite TP groups everywhere.
Black Robe Radio based in San Diego, on Friday nights, working to bring pastors together with the political values churches used to have.
Bay Area Patriots - Based in the San Fran Bay area and one of the most active groups in the country on almost any subject.
San Diego Tea Party Based in San Diego, restructuring to inspire action on almost any subject.
Golden State Alliance for Liberty Uniting groups to succeed in getting fiscal conservatives into office and educate the vast majority of Californians.
These are only examples, and do not count the hundreds of Tea Party's throughout the State. Nor do they include the thousands of us who have sacrificed time from family to assist in campaigns, attend rallies, put in place plans to take back the state, and counter-protest unions and special interest groups. I could go on, but I think the point is made.
We even take time out to go assist in other states, such as Wisconsin. We have groups to deal with voting and election issues. We volunteer time on the border to watch for coyotes and their passengers. All while literally taking our life in our hands. We love our Country and fellow Americans. It is time for all of you to stand with Californians as well!
United we stand, and divided we fall! It is time to unite everyone.
One last thing, as you all think we should give this state to Mexico. We have a lot of military in this state. Here, Washington State, and Virginia are the major Navy bases. Where I am in San Diego, we train Seal Teams and Marines. Without our State, it opens up this country for a larger invasion than you are seeing because our Federal government refuses to do it's Constitutional duty. Please try to remember that before you are so quick to divide us out of the Union.

Permalink Reply by Jim Hoff on June 26, 2011 at 6:31pm I feel for you, Dara, but if there are truly over 50% good conservatives working every day to persuade those middle of the road voters to join with us on the issues we agree with, somehow they aren't voting because the wacko's keep getting in.
Good Luck!

...ALSO, when conservative laws are voted in, the nefarious 9th Circuit decides the outcome is unconstitutional, thus the new law is voided...
...as an ex-Californian [SF Bay Area], and someone who tries to keep abreast of what's happening out there, I know that about 45% of those who live there are stout conservatives... unfortunately, as mentioned, the SF Bay Area and the SD/LA megalopolis tends to carry the day on election day.
DARA, what happened to the initiative to divide the electoral votes by percentage of vote? IF THAT ever passes, the Dems would never elect another president!

We are currently fighting that one again. Letters, calls, and testimony at hearings in Sac are going on as we speak.
Permalink Reply by Lizbeth Webster on June 26, 2011 at 9:26pm I'm in Michigan, Dara, and we are fighting here also to get proof of citizenship before registering to vote. All they have to do here is check a box that says 'I am a citizen'. No questions asked or proof required! I understand the problem you face, it has to be much, much worse for you. Thank you for setting me straight on California. I will pray for all of you that you succeed in your efforts.
We too are mostly a conservative state but have two or three liberal counties that are so dense in population that they control the vote. But they are in dire straights now and it is in direct corelation to the people and policies they put in office. They are losing population fast as the jobs disappear.

...if it weren't for the welfare class that concentrates in the cities, the Left would never win an election! WHICH is another reason why we have to get the Feds out of the welfare business!
Permalink Reply by Dara on June 26, 2011 at 11:54pm Lizbeth,
That check box is thanks to the Help American Vote Act of 2002. The states are supposed to be checking, but in our precinct walks we had people tell us they were illegal or not a citizen. We have been praying for your state as we know you are in such serious economic shape.
Permalink Reply by Ed Evans on June 27, 2011 at 12:53am Dara, Title III of the HAVA requires voters provide either a drivers license for identification or the last four digits of their Social Security Number. Granted, some states create a problem by giving drivers licenses indiscriminately, but according to HAVA, simply providing a welfare or government check for I.D. is not legal. If it is state law that allows that, Federal law trumps State law.
I was born in L.A. and raised in Mariposa and Fresno, so I am very familiar with California, but now live in Tennessee as a result of a career in the military. Until laws are obeyed in California, and extremist organizations such as La Raza are declared terrorists -- and yes, they have given reason for that title much of it publicized -- California will never dig out of the hole it has been allowed to fall into. We were always proud of the Spanish heritage there in the San Joaquin Valley, but no more.

This says they can use a utility bill as proof of identification. Also, if you look in the file I uploaded and see the highlighted portion on the second page, you will see that there is a loophole in the law which allows for the SS# and ID to be gotten around. So sorry to lose you to Tennessee, but Thank you so very much for your service to our Country!
