Today, I had to travel from Nashville to Jackson, Tennessee, which is about two hours west of Nashville.  I finished my business and stopped by a coffee shop to get something to drink. I checked email before heading back to Nashville and that’s when I got the threat I posted earlier on TPN.

The two-hour car ride back to Nashville gave me plenty of time to think.  Since becoming involved in this movement, I have had crank calls and emails.  I have had people lie and say all manner of nasty things about me. And yes, I have received the occasional threat.

I founded Tea Party Nation almost two years ago and feel I am the luckiest man alive.  I cannot believe how fortunate I am to be able to be involved with this movement.  I would love to do nothing more than run Tea Party Nation and work for conservatism full time.

A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from my friend, Amy Kremer of Tea Party Express asking if I had received any threats.  At the time, I had not received any recently.  Some kind and civil leftist had posted Amy’s contact information online and she was receiving threats.

Many of the folks who are involved in this movement have never been involved in politics before.  They know they do not want socialism, but do not understand the left.

In January 2009, the hard left thought it had died and gone to heaven.  The first socialist/Marxist President was sworn in.  The Democrats, whose leadership openly embraces socialism, had absolute control of the House of Representative and a filibuster proof, super majority in the Senate.   They were absolutely convinced they were going to kill capitalism and make America socialist.

A funny thing happened on the way to socialism.  The American people said no.   At first the left did not know what to do with the Tea Party movement.  They tried to ignore it, they tried to mock it and when neither worked, they tried to provoke the movement to violence.  That did not work either.

Then came the elections of last year.   In an unprecedented shift of power, the Democrats lost over sixty seats in the House and were swept out of power.  In the Senate, where based on the number, experts would have predicted a slight Democratic pickup; the GOP took seven seats away.  As we go into 2012, experts are saying, based on the mood of the country and redistricting, the GOP will expand its majority in the House.   The GOP will probably pick up twelve seats in the Senate.  If they pick up thirteen, they will have the filibuster proof majority.  And it is looking more and more likely the GOP will pick up the White House too.  As gas prices rise and the economy craters, Obama’s popularity is now falling faster than the economy.

The left will never cede power willingly.  Wisconsin was a good example of that.  The voters of Wisconsin repudiated the left in the last election.  When the Republicans came in to do what they said they were going to do, the Democrats fled the state to try and deny the GOP a quorum.

As it becomes more and more obvious to the hard left that they are going to lose and lose on a huge scale in 2012, the more desperate they are going to become.  The left worships at the altar of the state and is more intolerant than the most radical Islamist. There can be no competition with the state.  Under liberalism, no dissent is allowed.

As the left becomes more desperate, we are going to see more threats.  We are going to see more dirty tricks directed at conservatives and unfortunately, I fear more violence.   Violence is nothing new to the left.  Remember, in the 20th century, socialists murdered at least fifty million people, between the regimes of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot and others.   Violence and threats are not something the left shies away from.

On April 3, 1968, as an eight-year-old boy, I slept soundly in my bed in my parents home.  Ten miles away, one of the greatest orators of the 20th century, Martin Luther King was giving his last, and perhaps greatest speech, the “Mountain Top” speech.

Martin Luther King said that night, “I have been to the mountain top and I have seen the Promised Land.  I may not get there with you, but we… will get there.”

As the Tea Party movement, we have all been to that mountaintop. We have all seen the Promised Land.  That promised land where we expel socialism and statism.  Where the lamp of liberty once again shines.  Where government is once again our servant, not our master.

In 2013, we shall make it to that Promised Land.  I pray we all make it.

They attack and belittle what they fear the most.

The last tally for the numbers of citizens murdered by their own totalitarian governments in the last century was 262 MILLION, not 50 million. http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/NOTE1.HTM

Thanks for the update.  I was away from internet access when I wrote this so I wanted to stay with a conservative number.

I sympathize with you Judson. My win is a win for all of us. Give me a shout out. You're a lawyer. You will understand this motion. Since this motion was filed all the judges in the State of NH have recused themselves from one or more of my cases.

Is this still the USofA or or Vladimir Putin's Russia.

frightening statistics Clinnon

I really never realized how bad the Liberal left was until I joined the Tea Party. I learned how bad their politics was (which seem to focus on "today" and "screw the future"). I also learned how "evil" they are, on how they would slander people they disagree with as easily as I could bat an eyelid. Very wicked people.

Since taking part in the Tea Party, I now realize the liberal chunk of our populace is increasingly getting evil. From someone who never cared (actually despised) politics, I find myself now glued to the news (particularly Fox News) daily, constantly hoping I hear of some minor (but hopefully major) defeat of any liberal agenda. The more I learned how liberals are, the more I despised them.

Judson, I know I will gleefully celebrate if 2013 dawns with a conservative president and senate. But even if that happens, I hope the Tea Party Nation will not wane in its vigilance in holding our conservative politician's heads to the guillotine (that's figurative!)

The Tea Party's task should never be considered done until Liberalism is nothing but an irrationality of the past.

All the more reason why we have to unite politically.  And organize politically.

As I explained last night to the Scottsdale tea partiers (where I was able to recruit 7 new conservative precinct committeemen), our Republican Party, all across the country, enjoys near 100 per cent strength everywhere except where it’s needed most.

RNC level?  100 per cent of the committee slots filled.

State level?  100 per cent of the leadership slots filled.

County level?  Virtually 100 per cent of the committee slots filled.

Legislative District/township level?  level?  100 per cent of the committee slots filled.

Precinct level?  At this MOST IMPORTANT, BACKBONE level of the Party, which determines all the “upper” levels of the Party, we’re at less than 50 per cent strength.  “We the people” are the ones to blame for this.

We have to get the message out to the rank-and-file, registered, conservative Republicans (and conservative independents and conservative Democrats (one of the guys I recruited last night was a Democrat who’s going to re-register as a Republican)) who want to “do something” more than just vote that there’s plenty for them to do INSIDE THE PARTY as precinct committeemen, where they can REALLY make a difference.

By uniting politically at the local committee level, we can help constitutional conservative candidates win those all-important, traditionally-very-low-turnout primary elections.

And part of my pitch was, in recruiting those 7 PCs, when I was asked a question, "Now, why, and how, exactly, are PCs powerful?", I explained that now that all those freshman conservative Republicans are INCUMBENTS, they'll not breathe a word to the tea partiers about becoming PCs, whereas they might have before they got elected.  And the reason they won't -- and why, for example, David Schweikert, my brand new "constitutional conservative" congressman, won't -- is because he knows that 55 per cent of the PC slots in the Republican Party in his congressional district are vacant.  And if that percentage does not change, and he doesn't live up to his campaign promises, even if he has a primary challenger he's got a 97 per cent probability of winning the primary election.  On the other hand, if all those vacancies get filled with rabid conservatives, he knows he's probably toast, because he knows first-hand how PCs can get out the vote.  And he knows that, before that primary election, as long as the bylaws allow it, every legislative district committee could then vote to endorse his adversary in the primary.  As could the county committee, the bylaws of which do allow endorsements to be made.  As do the bylaws of my legislative district.  The candidate in the primary election who gets endorsed by the party usually wins.

I also used Redstate.com's Moe Lane's video interview at CPAC of brand new Rep. Allen West of Florida as an example.  When asked by Moe, "What would you tell the conservatives they can best do to get involved in politics?," he didn't say become a precinct committeeman.  Nope.  He said come to events like CPAC, get involved in a tea party, visit sites like Redstate and get educated.  He now doesn't want any more conservative precinct committeemen in his congressional district simply because it's not in his best interest if he does a bad job and wants to win the next primary election.  I don't blame him or Schweikert.  I put the blame on "we the people" who don't get involved.

We know the incumbents won't talk about this.  But I am.  Ron Robinson at http://party.procinct.net is.  LUR is at Concord ProjectUnified Patriots is.  Some Redstaters are.  American Majorirty is.  TheVoicesofAmerica.org is.  Judson is here at Tea Party Nation.  PatriotActionNetwork.com is.  Etc., etc., etc.

We need each and every one of the freshmen, and all the rest, to grow spines.  And balls.  As for the latter, it seems that Michele Bachmann has more than all the men combined.

I’m trying to get Herman Cain to talk about this.  Maybe Sarah will beat him to the punch?!

Whoever adopts this strategy of empowering conservatives by explaining to them HOW to BEST apply themselves to help elect constitutional conservatives to win the primary elections, so they can be in a position to run in the general election, will, in my opinion, have the BEST shot at winning the Republican presidential nomination.

And don't be afraid of the leftists.  As a wise man I know has said, when good stands up to evil, evil blinks.  Stand up to the bullies.  Show them you'll fight if you have to.  They'll cower every time.

Judson:  Thank you for your work, sacrifice, and courage to do the right thing.

The first modern Tea Partiers (1974) saw how hypocritical and vicious liberals really are.  We sounded the alarm.  Liberals have not and will not change.  Watch the entire interview at http://www.insectman.us/testimony/protester-voices.htm   and see mothers, preachers, and flag waving peaceful protesters going to jail.

Great post, my friend, and truly spoken from the heart.  I too, am so glad you founded Tea Party Nation.  Patriots like you are the light of freedom for our nation.

I liked the part, "A funny thing happoned on the way to socialism".   They under estimated America, didn't they.

George

The truth is on our side, and it marches on... thanks Judson for standing in the midst of the fray.  Thankful for your continued and steadfast example.  May the people continue to rise up and speak truth to the lies!  Individual responsibility and accountability what a concept!  The bad can not prevail when good men speak!
Because of Washington an the white house our economy is going down the drain.. while Israels economy is up about 5 to 10% last year... Kind of tells everyone just what the people in Washington think about America an the people in it.. And its all to control the energy that we cant touch because Washington says no.. an the Arabs have got their pay off because of it.

They have not seen anything yet!

Building for 2012! and putting the Progressive movement into the Abysis.
