Tomorrow night, we will get more political theater from the Obama regime. It is the State of the Union address and it is one of the few constitutional things that Obama actually does.
Article 2, section 3 of the Constitution says that the President shall:
from time to time give to Congress information of the State of the Union and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.
The State of the Union address has become a major political event. And this year, Obama will milk it for all it is worth.
If Obama were truthful, the State of the Union speech would start out with some cold hard truths. This country is worse off now that it has been since the great depression and if things continue, this will be worse than the great depression.
If Obama were truthful, he would also say that his policies have extended the length and severity of the economic downturn. If he were truthful, he would admit that although the official unemployment rate hovers around ten percent, the real unemployment rate is almost double that. One in five Americans is either not working or is under employed.
If Obama were truthful, he would admit that he has refused to secure our southern border. He has done it for crass political reasons. The left’s calculus has always been that if amnesty is granted, all of the newly minted citizens would be Democrat voters. While that is clearly assuming facts not in evidence, the economic consequences of adding twenty million unskilled workers to our country, most of whom could not compete with Americans, if the benefit of paying them under the table was taken away, would be devastating to our economy.
If Obama were truthful, he would tell America he wants to see our military become a shadow of its former self. He would say he does not want to see America exercise its military might. He would say the only time he wants to see America’s military used would be if it were under the command of the United Nations.
If Obama were to be truthful, he would say he wants to see our debt rise to out of control levels. He wants to see the American economy crash. Only then, with the destruction of capitalism, could he and his socialist cronies, like William Ayers, remake America into the nightmare they want to see.
If Obama wanted to help this country, which he does not, he would do some things at the State of the Union. First, he would announce he is freezing all federal hiring. Second, he would cut non-defense spending by at least one trillion dollars. Next, he would propose tax cuts. While they would cause some short-term problems with the deficit, it would stimulate the economy and we could grow our way out of this economic hole. Then, he would surround himself with some medium size business owners who could tell him what he needs to do to get the government out of the way of the businesses that fire the American economy.
By tradition, the State of the Union speech is given by the President who was in office the previous year. That is why this is only Obama’s second State of the Union speech. We can only hope that two years from now, there is no State of the Union speech. We can only hope that there is enough of America left that conservatives can recover the economy and prosperity we knew before we let liberals control the strings of power.

His smug self-assurance of his superiorty to the people he is paid to serve is a huge and bitter pill t swallow. I sincerely hopthat every one of the Supreme Court Justices opts out of attendance. Last year's slap in their faces is deserving of a boycott! I STILL remember the look of disbelief on Justice Aiello's (sp?) face as he mouthed the words, "Not true!" Do you?
...........Obama continued his story, undaunted by protest for truth, and vaunted his self-impressed view of prowess in his own rhetoric, uncaring of the lack of awe by everyone-America.
Just the memory makes me queasy, but i will watch.......not with a guarantee to endure to the end.......i can't afford to replace my televison if i ignore my building intolerance and wind up throwing my remote through the screen!

Problem is, in his mind America is a Socialist Utopia just waiting to be born.
In his mind there are millions of concealed Socialists out there just waiting to
take over. So, he will speak the truth. The truth these Socialists want to hear!
What the rest of us will hear is nothing but spend, spend, spend!

Socialist dreamers never realize that it doesn't work. They just believe that whoever tried it before did it wrong and they now have the right solutions. Barrack is one of these. Your typical Ivy League educated elitist who was told from a young age that socialism/communism is the only way that the world will ever be a happy place. On paper it always looks and sounds good, reality is where it repeatedly fails. Under the influence of his alcoholic, murderous, polygamous, socialist, anticolonialist father Barrack was programmed from a very early age. Then under Frank Marshall Davis and his Communist mothers influence he was further brainwashed. At Harvard he was editor of the Harvard Review and wrote his first book, no wonder he won't release his grades. In the senate he just went through the motions voting present, writing his next book, and being brought along by David Axelrod.
Obama has been groomed for this violation of our Constitution, freedom and liberty for a long time. You're right, he does believe in his convoluted grandiose mind that he is right and everyone else is right. Our job is to destroy his dream and to return our nation to a Constitutional Republic. Tonight we will hear the great Flim-Flam man try to convince the American people that he is anything but a socialist, our job is to disprove it. Fortunately with his record of missteps I think we can do it but we have to pounce on every little bit of corruption he tries to bring down on us.
