The Smears fall apart
The left specializes in last minute gotchas. They love to put out last minute stories right before an election that damage conservatives, even if they are not true. The beauty of that tactic is that by the time the election rolls around, the damage is done and the conservative does not have time to undo the damage.
Liberals just tried to do this to Scott Walker but oops, it fell apart.
The story came from something called the Wisconsin Citizens Media Co-op. With a name like that, you can guess the quality of the stories they are producing.
The story is that in 1988, when Scott Walker was a freshman at Marquette University, he got his girlfriend pregnant. According to the story, Walker went from being a supportive boyfriend to an absolute jerk, accusing this poor girl of cheating on him because he was not the father.
The source of the story was not the ex-girlfriend but a friend of the ex-girlfriend. The friend, a woman named Bernadette Gillick is now a university professor. Hmmm, I wonder which way her politics go?
The co-op claimed it could not find Walker’s ex-girlfriend to verify the story.
The Wisconsin Citizens Media Co-op celebrated its story. It had something on Scott Walker.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper followed up on the story. They found the woman and surprise, the woman is very adamant that Scott Walker was not the father of her child.
Oops.
The left is so desperate to get Scott Walker and defeat him in Wisconsin, they are willing to grab onto anything. The left wing smear merchants like the Daily Kos jumped all over it.
Then the real journalists at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel got a hold of the story. He found the woman and she denied that Walker was the father.
End of story.
Except for the left that continues to try and push the story, even though they know it is not true.
This is the desperation of the left. Scott Walker and the Republicans have dismantled the public funding of the left wing machine in Wisconsin. The left is desperate to get back into power so they can restore their funding. This is why Wisconsin is so important.
If we win in Wisconsin, we can break that back of the far left groups that use money they get from the government to fund their activities. If we lose in Wisconsin, it will be a message to less courageous legislators and governors everywhere.
Don’t mess with the left.
This is one battle we cannot afford to lose.

"This tactic" is NOT also used by Republicans.
Republicans may be naive sometimes about how to run a campaign, but there is ONE MAJOR DIFFERENCE.
They do not LIE the way Premier Obama and his Democrats do.

And your point is??? Cain was smeared by the left because the left knew they were toast if he ran against Obama. They wanted Romney becasue they thought he presented a much easier target. The establishment on both sides of the aisle has to go. Gingrich presented the biggest threat to Romeny, hence the attack by Romney - all's fair in love war and politics. Our job this election is to get control of the house, senate and POTUS. POTUS again is the lesser of two evils. Maybe for the next presidential election we will get started now to make sure OUR candidate becomes POTUS. We can't go to sleep for three years and wake up again to fight when the fight is already over.

This kind of story really bothers me. Freedom of speach is what makes this country great. I don't agree with what most liberals have to say, but they have the right to say it. This is one of the cornerstones with which our counntry was founded. I have never understood why liberals have to be so viscious in their attacks, it seems they can never deliver an argument without name calling or making fun of someones opinion. Another venue they like is putting some sub-humorous bumper sticker on their imported car. The true irony of what this administration and liberals are trying to achieve, this socialist agenda, big brother, big government, if this ever comes to fruition, liberals will be the first to protest. Like a late friend of mine once said," bieng liberal when your young feels great, but eventually you have to grow up, and be a productive member society".

Judson, let's call a spade a spade, shall we?
The left is so scared they're going to lose so they put out drek like this to garner support for their cause.
Until recently, I have been registered as 'No Party Affiliation', which as everyone should know does not mean 'Independent'.
Because of all the bull from the left, I re-registered as a Republican and am proud to have done it.
The left is fighting a full battle against Mitt Romney, Rick Scott, Scott Walker, and every other Republican on the planet.
An article I saw somewhere says the recall effort for Scott Walker has cost a ton of money. (Fun fact: A ton of dollar bills is $908,000.)

ABC says that the direct cost to taxpayers should easily top $20M. This is all other people's money. The dems and the unions have no compunction about spending other people's money in order to hold on to their own, which, incidentally, is also other people's money. So much for concern about the taxpayer who is footing the bill for all of this.

I was at the Racine Tea Party Rally for Walker yesterday. Awesome event. Over 4000+ people showed up, some say 5,000 either way, get this, Bill Clinton showed up to support Walker's opponent, Tom Barrett, in Milwaukee and only 900 people showed. Oh yeah, the game is on and we are bringing to them. Oh, and by the way, 900,000 so called people signed the recall, but only 600,000 voted in the Democratic primary....hmmmmmmmmmmmm

To label Tuesday's Recall Scott Walker election the "second most important election in 2012" is ABSOLUTELY right!!!
It is one that Walker, Wisconsin, Americans, Conservatives, Independents and patriots must WIN ~~ and unions, Democrats, liberals/progressives/statists/communists must LOSE!!!
As goes Wisconsin, so goes our Republic!!!

If there is this much of a apoplectic reaction to essentially campaigning on county (people's) time, I would love to see someone request ALL emails and communications from ALL government employees. Maybe then we could get rid of most of government. I guess I should just keep dreaming.
