The slow death of privacy
If you have any doubt that the government wants to keep intruding in to our lives to such an extent that we will be living in the land of big brothers, those doubts should be gone.
Now, the government wants the ability to store and obtain data from our cars.

A bill already passed by the Senate and set to be rubber stamped by the House would make it mandatory for all new cars in the United States to be fitted with black box data recorders from 2015 onwards.
Section 31406 of Senate Bill 1813 (known as MAP-21), calls for “Mandatory Event Data Recorders” to be installed in all new automobiles and legislates for civil penalties to be imposed against individuals for failing to do so.
“Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall revise part 563 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, to require, beginning with model year 2015, that new passenger motor vehicles sold in the United States be equipped with an event data recorder that meets the requirements under that part,” states the bill.
Although the text of legislation states that such data would remain the property of the owner of the vehicle, the government would have the power to access it in a number of circumstances, including by court order, if the owner consents to make it available, and pursuant to an investigation or inspection conducted by the Secretary of Transportation.
Is anyone else just a little worried about this bill?
For starters, Congress is not even writing this law. The Secretary of Transportation is writing it. Does anyone trust any member of the Obama Regime? Would a Romney Secretary of Transpiration be any better?
What is next after this? These are only supposed to be safety devices that will record certain data, like speed and whether you used your brakes or not. How long before this expands?
These are based on the concept of the data recorders in airplanes, so why not expand it to have a voice recorder to record the last twenty minutes of conversation in your car? How about putting GPS in there so big brother will know where we have been.
Does anyone trust private data in the hands of the government? How many times in the past have we seen data in the hands of the government misused by either the government or sometimes private individuals with access to it?
Who is going to pay for this? Oh, we are. Did you notice the language in the bill? The black box is our property. We have to maintain it for the government. The true indicator of real ownership of property is the ability to determine what is done with property, including its sale, transfer or destruction.
Property owners get to make that decision. Serfs are simply told they own something but are then required to take care of it but denied the right to do anything with it.
Odds are this will become law. And our privacy will fade more, like the sun slowly setting on a once free nation.

LOL I am so glad that I am a pro at hacking lol. I only do it to save computers but hey at least I can do it to my car and whatever else the Government wants to get their hands on lol. I have already scrambled my Emails :D So no matter what I write or send, they can't use against me. :D It pay's to be able to hack. :D So good point there. learn it as soon as possible. ;)
Please remember to only use it FOR GOOD things, I know that you are a Patriot and all but I feel that I have to say this, don't use it to hurt others. Thank you. ;)

Sen Tom Coburn was very straight-forward in his disgust for GOP 'career' politicians on the Dennis Prager show two days ago. I want him to stay awhile. Jim DeMint is doing an outstanding job with the Senate's Conservative Fund, getting TRUE conservatives elected to office.
And do we REALLY want Michele Bachmann and Allan West out of the House? I don't. In both Houses there are Conservatives whom we need there. I think we have to be very careful who we vote out. There are a few good men & women in Congress. Maybe only a handful but still good.

I usually agree w/you, but this time I can't.
They may be only a handful, but we do have true conservatives in Congress. Those I want to keep for another few years. You know as well as I do, that we cannot get rid of all the dirty GOP politicians, never mind from both parties. To keep the experienced true CONSERVATIVES for a few years longer would be wise, as well as helpful, for the young pups we vote in.
Yes, Washington IS a toxic waste dump. And yes, those s.o.b.'s are controlling us. We gave them that power over the years. Now we have to take it back. And we will. But let's not throw out the baby with the bathwater.
