The Persecution of Sarah Palin -  Are Palin's Poll Numbers Really That Bad?

It started with Joe Scarborough inferring that high profile GOPers were bad-mouthing Palin behind the scenes.

Then NJ Governor Chris Christie said she needed to come out from behind Twitter, Facebook and Fox News and answer uns...

Over the past few days, a slew of "conservative" talking heads, the media and certain polls have come out of the woodwork to tell us to stick a fork in Palin, she's done. One article was actually entitled, "The Incredible Shrinking Palin".

The poll that seemed to start this hate-filled "pile-on" this week was a Washington Post/ABC news poll of GOPers and GOP-leaning independent...

Veteran  GOPers like Krautheimer and George Will came out with comments on Palin's populism. "When populism becomes purely anti-intellectual, it can become unhealthy and destructive."

Former Bush aide Ari Fleischer stated that he can't "see any way, shape or form that [Palin] can win in the Republican ...

There were stories regarding her relationship with Fox News head Roger Ailes, saying she asked for his advice on the Giffords shooting, then ignored his advice and now there is a strained relationship between the two. There is speculation that Ailes will fire her.  To my knowledge, I never saw a rebuttal of this story from Ailes or Fox News.

There was a link in one of the stories by a blogger who attended both of Palin's book signings, the first for "Going Rogue" and the second for "America By Heart". The photos showed a large crowd for the first signing and a small ...Other stories stated that the only reason Palin's second book made it to the NY Times best-seller list was because her PAC bought a large quantity of books to resell signed copies for $100 a piece and other outlets such as Newsmax and Townhall bought large quanitities to give away with paid subscriptions to their magazines.

All of this has me wondering, is this an organized "take down" of Palin, or is her popularity truly declining?  If her popularity is on the wane and her unfavorables are that high, can she turn it around and what would she need to do to change voters' minds?

Well, her popularity with ME took a nose dive when she started spreading endorsements to any "R" candidate in a skirt. She lost a very good man, who had all the pro-life endorsements and a solid lead, the governor's race in Georgia because she casually threw support to the most liberal "republican" in the race. That sort of wanton irresponsibility doesn't sit well with me.

…the Left  has been after Sarah Palin since she agreed to run as McCain’s VP. The RINO’s have been after her since the first time she drew 20,000 to hear her speak. And it has never let up… in fact it has steadily intensified. Since the elections last November, and the high percentage of victories the candidates she supported won, combined with the huge Tea Party victories all across the land, the attacks have trebled, reaching a new low when she was “indicted” by the Left for inciting mayhem and murder. Since the union busting victory in Wisconsin, and the accompanying Democrat black eye inflicted by the unions and the “teachers”, the attacks have picked up once again…

…ALL of the major players who are thinking of running for President of the United States of America, are jockeying around the perimeter. Some have even been on FOX saying they are going to run… but no one has officially thrown their hat-into-the-ring. To some of us, this may be frustrating, but it’s not accidental…

…it’s not accidental because they’re ALL waiting for Sarah to decide what she’s going to do.

If Sarah Palin decides to run, she wins. The Left knows it. The RINO’s know it. A lot of the “guest speakers” at FOX know it, too, and they also know that with the rise of the Tea Party, their reputations, and their ability to make money, dwindles…

…NONE of them, including the Left and RINO’s, know what to do with the Tea Party. And definitely, none of them have the faintest idea of what the Tea Party is all about…well, the socialists understand, but not the others.

So the Left, which comprises the hardcore socialists and their useful idiots, the liberals, launch attack after attack, using libel and slander and outright lies, as the weapons of choice, daily, against Sarah Palin and the Tea Party.

I don’t know anyone who won’t vote for Sarah if she decides to run. Oh, she has some faults and has made some errors… endorsing McCain is definitely one of them… BUT on the whole, she’s a little bit of me, a little bit of you, and a little bit of everyone reading these words, even the liberal trolls who hang out here knows exactly what Sarah Palin represents. She’s your mother, your grandmother, and she’s the pioneer woman walking alongside the Conestoga wagon crossing America. She’s the junior high school teacher who didn’t join the union. She’s your next door neighbor. We know more about Sarah, her life, her family, than we know about any other President of the United States… even the ones with the most books written about them! She’s one of us.

The Left knows this. The RINO’s know it. And YOU know it, too.

If she runs, she wins. BUT Palin is on record as not intending to make a decision regarding running for President, until the end of the summer. All of the wannabe’s are talking, telling us what they would do if… they haven’t declared, but they’re laying out their positions… parsing the words just right, they hope… and ALL are playing to one audience, and one only:  you and me and Sarah.

Not jumping “in” until the end of summer is great! Everyone who has something to say, is going to get their chance to say it. If they’ve got a “plan”, and they better have a Plan, we get to hear it, and WE get to respond to it… as the months pass, a Plan is going to emerge, a Plan that will deal directly and swiftly with our economic woes, address our failing school system, the entitlements, welfare, social security, illegal aliens and how to deport them, the crimes against the nation, which might include treason, definitely includes betrayal of one’s oath of office… the list goes on. We’re having a conversation… we’re having it right here at Tea Party Nation, and we’re having it with our congressmen. Waiting until the end of summer is a good idea… for us. The first primary/caucus isn’t until February of next year. We have lots of time. We need the time. A few more victories like we had in Wisconsin won’t hurt, either! States all across the nation are getting ready to vote on very important legislation, and some crucial court decisions are approaching. The results of which will have a direct impact on our Plan.

WE need this time… remember in 2009, when our rallies first began, and the 9/12’s started rolling and educating… by the time the town halls arrived, WE knew the rules, the laws, and the right questions to ask… by the end of summer, many of our elected officials wouldn’t even hold a town hall! The momentum was ours, more joined our ranks, we stalled obamacare for nearly two years, stopped cap and trade in congress, forced obama to shift implementation to the EPA, all of which can be eliminated and rolled back the day after our conservative president takes office. We forced the Dems into panic mode, they ripped off their proverbial mask, and America recoiled in disgust. All of this culminated in a devastating victory last November, giving us enough strength to at least continue to stall their agenda until the 2012 elections.

BUT the victory in November could have been larger, greater, and given us more control leading up to 2012. BUT we couldn’t pull it together fast enough… most Tea Party’s couldn’t coalesce around a single candidate, couldn’t or wouldn’t publicly endorse. I know in my area, if we would have publicly announced, “this is our candidate”, the results would have been drastically different, might have even turned the tide.

Sarah has said, numerous times, that if a good candidate steps forward, there’s no reason for her to jump into the ring. So the wannabe’s need to impress her in order to keep her out of the race, and they need to impress us, too, for with or without Sarah Palin, the decision is ultimately ours. The Left is reduced to one strategy:  to belittle our candidates, and to demoralize us. There is one other weapon they have, which they have hinted at numerous times, but that’s a discussion for another day.

The 2012 elections are the MOST important in our country since those of pre and post Civil War. We NEED this time. Sarah is giving it to us. Let’s use it wisely. Let’s get our personal and local “acts” together… let’s use this time wisely.

Don't worry about McCain, he ain't runnin'. Besides, he's a RINO. All of the wannabe's are trying their best to prove they're Tea Party worthy.

I like Cain. i like West, too, but he's stated he isn't running. Don't like Huckabee. I like Gingrich, but not as President. Bachmann as a VP might be interesting, but I think she's more valuable in the House. I like DeMint, but he, too, is needed right where he's at.

Ann Coulter would make a good Press Secretary. Bolton, of course, needs to be sent back to the UN.

Ditto on your recommendations...didn't know West has said no.  Think we can draft him or Christie?  This is a time for a patriot to step up to their countrymen's call...didn't they have to convince Geo Washington?
...let's see who steps forward between now and August...
Robinbird, West has said he is open to running...he has never said flat out no. He said it is up to God and his family. I hope he will answer his country's call just one more time...there is also speculation here in Florida that West may run for the US Senate in 2012...Obama Slobberer Bill Nelson is up for re-election and he is very, very vulnerable. I would prefer to see West in the White House, but I may have to settle for him in the Senate.

No  Christie, no Pawlenty, no Daniels (and there's a couple of others) as they are pro-amnesty for the illegals.  WE DO NOT NEED ANY MORE OF THEM!  THOSE THAT ARE HERE NEED TO BE DEPORTED ASAP AND WE NEED A CANDIDATE THAT HAS STEEL IN HIS/HER SPINE AND WILL DO WHAT THE CONSTITUTION TELLS US IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!  We need to protect this country from without and within.  It is rapidly falling apart right under our feet and there are too many RINOS who will go right along cause they're chickensh-t from the git-go.

MARCO RUBIO - as a latino whose parents came here the right way, HE KNOWS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT, and last I heard, he's for closing the border and deporting the illegals.

...it's the only viable solution, Ree...

We're on the same thought process there Tom as far as Cain/West/Huckabee/Gingich/Bachman/DeMint

I still would like to see Sarah run if no other Conservative comes out that she would get behind, but that is up to her and her family as she and they have been bashed quite a bit the last few years..to which they turned into some financial successes (at least I hope so) with the books and TV show (of which I thought all were fantastic!

Tom...

I think you are right!

Go Sarah....Go!

Tom Dodd, my hat is off to you, sir. Brilliant assessment.
...thanks, I've been thinking about this for awhile, and then it all came in a rush...
