There is a perfect storm forming. If you remember the movie “The Perfect Storm”, the storm in the movies was the result of three storms coming together to form a massive storm.
Could we be seeing something like that for the Presidential election?
The answer is yes.
The Tea Party is a part of this and we must be ready.
The storm will be what happens or may happen at the Republican Convention in Tampa this August.
Everyone keeps saying the possibility of an open convention is still a remote possibility. It is not the most likely possibility but it is a possibility that is no longer remote.
The RINOs are of course upset. Mitt Romney is crashing and burning and the Tea Party conservatives are not simply going away, awaiting orders from RNC Central. We are committing the ultimate sin in the eyes of the RINO establishment. We actually want a conservative nominee.
Republicans have been going to all of the organs of the news establishment to complain and warn Romney. If he fails in Michigan, he is finished. Even if he does not fail in Michigan, he may still be finished.
The RINO establishment fantasizes about some RINO savior, coming out of the mist, to sweep in and rescue the establishment and give them a standard bearer for this fall.
No one should forget that those who are dreaming of the great RINO hope are the same bright lights who told us four years ago that we should all support John McCain, because he was “electable.”
After such a bad showing four years ago, the RINOs should go and hide in shame and leave the selection of the next American President to real Americans.
While the RINOs sit around dreaming of their savior, storm clouds billow on the horizon. There is no guarantee this storm is coming. But as with all storms, we must prepare for them.
First, if the filing deadline has not passed in your state to become a delegate, go file immediately. Delegates to the convention will be the ones who decide who the nominee is. We need as many conservatives as delegates as we can get. If this becomes a brokered convention, the conservative delegates will be the ones who decide the nominee.
Second, we need to start looking at conservatives who could be the man or woman we bring out of a brokered convention as our nominee. The RINOs are looking, trying to get Mitch Daniels, Chris Christie or Jeb Bush in the wings ready to take over. We conservatives need to be doing the same thing. We need to start lining someone up who can step in as our leader in a brokered convention. That person could be Sarah Palin, Allen West, Bobby Jindal or someone else. To quote my favorite Benjamin Franklin quote, “he who fails to plan, plans to fail.”
The possibility of an open or brokered convention is still not the most likely scenario.
Much of what is now uncertain will be decided in Michigan, Arizona and on Super Tuesday.
If Romney does poorly in Michigan the clamor for a replacement RINO will grow. Those who have previously spoken to the drive by media on the condition of anonymity will now speak openly.
I have previously endorsed Newt Gingrich. I remain convinced Newt is the only candidate on the GOP side who cannot only beat Obama but to use his words, will change the trajectory of America and not just manage our decline.
My personal goal is to go down to Tampa in August for the largest Tea Party rally in recent memory and celebrate the nomination of Newt and the beginning of the end for Obama.
One way or another, we need to make certain at the end of the day, whether this storm is perfect or not, we have a conservative taking on Obama in November.
The one thing we cannot do is allow the establishment to give us another John McCain style loser.

Permalink Reply by Bruce Baker on February 20, 2012 at 1:29pm I am afraid ... Judson is right .. The one thing we cannot do is allow the establishment to give us another John McCain style loser. No offense to John McCain, and I am would bet McCain would agree .... a lot of other Republicans would have done a better job of guiding the USA to Prosperity than Obama has done since 2009.
Permalink Reply by wayne thomas inman on February 20, 2012 at 1:36pm I heard or read somewhere that Bobby Jindal was not a Natural Born Citizen and not eligable to be potus or vp. Does anyone have any information on this?
Judson,
For you to bring Bobby Jinal into the mix knowing he is not a Natural Born citizen is hurtful. I'm sure it was a mistake but from you it is very hurtful. I'm an Ann Fan.............

Permalink Reply by William C. Gawlikowski on February 20, 2012 at 2:00pm Newt is the "RINO KING"! Rick Santorum is the ONLY one who comes close to the "Tea Party" ideals! Think about it! The
'Newtster" hobnobs with nancy, admires fdr and other people who have lead us by the nose to this econimic, social and military disaster over decades.
NEWT IS NOT THE CHOICE! HE IS PART OF THE PROBLEM AND A "RINO"!
Permalink Reply by JOHN DELASAUX on February 20, 2012 at 4:23pm What ever you may THINK he is, he has proved to be a true Fiscal Conservative by driving Clinton (D) to a balanced budget, and even paid down some National Debt while he was running the House.
Why do you keep trying to bad-mouth Newt?
Don't forget that the Tea Party agreed long ago to "leave social issues at the door".
Newt is a Fiscal Conservative, as proven by his performance.
All other considerations don't count in this election.
If you must, go after your social issues after we DUMP OBAMA.
Permalink Reply by Tom Bruno on February 20, 2012 at 3:21pm Every time i try to give up on Judson, he comes back and I am encouraged. When he was advocating suicide, the vow not to vote for Romney- I was discouraged. OBAMA MUST NOT WIN! Then, all of a sudden, Judson "got religion " and repented of that heresy and I was encouraged. Then he started looking under all rocks and at many insects for a candidate for the nomination when there were none, and I was discouraged again.
NOW, Judson gives perhaps the best advice ever to the Tea Partiers: GET INVOLVED, NOW! WHEREVER POSSIBLE FILE TO BE A DELEGATE IN YOUR STATE! THEN GET ENOUGH REPUBLICANS TO VOTE YOU IN AS A DELEGATE! THEN GO TO TAMPA READY TO NOMINATE SOMEONE ELSE TO BE A WINNER!
TOGETHER, WE TEA PARTIERS CAN DO IT! WE STARTED THIS WHOLE THING AND WE CAN FINISH IT. I DO NOT YET KNOW WHO THE CANDIDATE IS. I KNOW WHO IT IS NOT: ANYONE WHO IS RUNNING OR HAS RUN SO FAR. WE MUST THINK, PRAY AND LISTEN AND FIND OUT WHO CAN BEAT OBAMA. OTHERWISE ALL OUR EFFORTS WILL FAIL AND WE WILL BE LEFT WITH 2014 AND 2016.
WE CAN WIN! BUT ONLY IF THOSE WHO STARTED THE FIGHT HAVE THE STRENGTH AND VISION TO FINISH THE FIGHT. THIS IS WAR! WAR FOR OUR NATION, FOR OUR CHILDREN AND FOR OUR FUTURE. THE MORE DELEGATES WE HAVE DEDICATED TO THAT WAR AND NOT TO ANY CAMPAIGN OR CANDIDATE, THE BETTER CHANCE WE HAVE TO BE IN POSITION TO WIN THE BATTLE OF 2012 AGAINST OBAMA'S SOCIALISTS AND WEALTH RE-DISTRIBUTORS!
THANKS, JUDSON FOR POINTING THE WAY TO VICTORY. LISTEN TO HIM, TEA PARTIERS! BECOME DELEGATES AND CHOOSE OUR WEAPONS FOR THE BATTLE. SIT ON THE SIDELINE AND WATCH AMERICA SINK AND FADE.
ONWARD AND UPWARD!
Permalink Reply by Tom Bruno on February 20, 2012 at 3:39pm ONCE WE GET ENOUGH DELEGATES, WE CAN TURN TO PICKING A WINNER, NOT BEFORE! ONE THING IS CERTAIN, WE HAVE NOT HEARD OR SEEN THAT PERSON YET. PALIN CANNOT WIN. SHE HAS HIGHER NEGATIVES WITH THE INDEPENDENTS THAT HILLARY HAD. WEST IS A CONGRESSMAN. THEY DO NOT WIN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, NOT SINCE LINCOLN, ANYWAY. NEWT IS NEWT, HE WILL CONTINUE TO SHOOT HIMSELF IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF HIS BODY UNTIL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. ROMNEY DOES NOT LOOK LIKE HE CAN MAKE IT TO THE FINISH IN ONE PIECE. SANTORUM LOOKS GOOD, BUT IS HE? I WISH I BELIEVED THAT HE COULD WIN, BUT IT WOULD BE A MIRACLE.
NO, WE NEED SOMEONE ELSE, SOMEONE WHO CAN EXCITE THE NATION, SOMEONE WHO CAN COME TO TAMPA AS A SENATOR OR GOVERNOR AND LEAVE AS THE NEXT PRESIDENT! SOMEONE WHO CAN GET THE ATTENTION OF THE INDEPENDENTS AND BLUE DOG DEMS. SOMEONE WHO CAN TALK TO OUR OUT OF WORK, OUT OF HOPE YOUTH.
POSSIBLES? DEMINT! COBURN! THUNE, BUT HE IS FROM SMALL STATE. RUBIO, IF ONLY HE WAS OLDER AND HAD SERVED A TERM OR TWO MORE. BOLTON, IF ONLY HE HAD HELD ELECTIVE OFFICE. SOMEWHERE THIS SIDE OF THE RAINBOW, THERE IS A CANDIDATE THAT WE CAN NOMINATE WHO CAN AND WILL WIN. PRAY THAT WE FIND HIM OR HER!
Permalink Reply by Tom Bruno on February 20, 2012 at 3:43pm AS JIMMY V SAID, DON'T GIVE UP! DON'T EVER GIVE UP! IF YOU DO, YOU ARE GIVING UP ON AMERICA, ON YOUR FAITH, ON YOUR CHILDREN, ON YOUR NEIGHBORS AND ON THE WORLD!
REMEMBER, ALL THAT IT TAKES FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN (AND WOMEN) TO DO NOTHING. BECOME A DELEGATE. LOOK, PRAY AND WAIT FOR IT. THERE IS SOMEONE AND WE WILL FIND HIM OR HER!
DON'T GIVE UP!
Permalink Reply by Tom Bruno on February 20, 2012 at 3:50pm THAT IS WHY I CANNOT JOIN THE ARGUMENTS ABOUT NEWT, SANTORUM, ROMNEY OR PAUL. EVEN IF YOU PUT ALL FOUR OF THEM TOGETHER AND MADE ONE CANDIDATE OUT OF THEM, THAT PERSON COULD NOT WIN. THAT IS WHAT THIS LONG, AGONIZING WINTER OF DEBATES, CAUCUSES AND PRIMARIES HAS SHOWN US. WE NEED SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!
JUDSON IS RIGHT!!!! BECOME A DELEGATE. BE IN POSITION TO CHOOSE AND GO TO TAMPA AND CHOOSE. WE HAVE A CHANCE IF ENOUGH OF THE TEA PARTIERS DO THAT! WE HAVE SHOWN THE WORLD , THE MEDIA AND THE PARTY THAT OUR STRENGTH COMES FROM THE PEOPLE, NOT AN IDEOLOGY, SLOGAN OR A MEDIA ENDORSEMENT.
GO TO TAMPA! CHOOSE OUR FUTURE IN TAMPA! BECOME A DELEGATE! DO NOT LEAVE THE CHOICE TO THOSE WHO WILL CHOOSE DEFEAT! TAKE THE CHOICE OVER AND BECOME THE CHOOSER! YOU, WE, ALL OF US CAN DO IT! WE MUST DO IT OR IT WILL NOT GET DONE!
TAMPA OR BUST!

Permalink Reply by Tom Bruno on February 21, 2012 at 12:01pm I'm awake. I first met Newt in 1984 when he came to DC. He was arrogant and knew it all then. Did not want to listen, just talk. It has only gotten worse. He cannot win, as much as I know that disturbs you. Sorry William, but that is the story.
