Since I became well known for being a part of the Tea Party movement, I have received all kinds of nasty messages and even a few threats from the left.
Of course, since Ron Paul and his supporters come from that background, I’m not shocked that they have acted out the only way they know how to.
Ron Paul and his supporters share a trait with the far left. There can be no dissent from their orthodoxy. Much as Kim Jong Il would not let there be independent thought in North Korea, the Pauliban will not allow anyone to say anything that even disagrees with Ron Paul.
Some of the emails and comments I have received today have been down right amusing but they do show the mentality of the Pauliban.

Like socialist everywhere, he does not like for profit entities. He has a problem with the free market. I bet he does not have a problem with Ron Paul making millions peddling his news letters filled with conspiracy theories and racist remarks.

This was not all of the emails and FaceBook comments I received.
But they reflect the attitude of Ron Paul supporters. They do not believe in liberty for all. They believe in liberty for themselves. They believe in being allowed to say or do what ever they want but those rights are not extended to anyone who disagrees with them.
Ron Paul and his supporters are just another shade of left wing extremists.

That's not liberalism, that's just being rude. I've met plenty of intolerant Christians, as well as athiests, liberals, Palestinians, and Democrats, Republicans, and every other walk of life. Please explain how Ron Paul's positions are liberal.

HP kicked me off because I had the audacity to call their hand on being thin skinned and censorious low lifes. Fortunately, the U. S. Constitution is not nearly so silly and juvenile as to disallow someone from speaking their mind. You've not quoted him at all, but you've give TONS of space to quoting other people, and then attributing their idiocy to Ron Paul because they support him. This is the most blatant example of GUILT BY ASSOCIATION I've ever seen, and that's something YOU've had the gall (we now realize) to criticize. It goes without saying that if the above are the WORST of the countless emails you've received from Paul supporters, then they must be, by and large, a pretty civil and intelligent group. Go pick the worst from the supporters of ANY other candidate who are writing to one of their candidate's detractors, and the above will look like perfectly civil ettiquette by comparison. You also tell complete untruths about his financial situation AND his financial aims. He has never been a seeker of great wealth. Obstetricians used to be amongst the highest earning doctors, but Paul was never up there with them, even though he did more deliveries, far more, than the average. He did not charge his poor patients. He worked in clinics for almost nothing. And he got into politics NOT from power lust, but because friends in the republican party pleaded with him to run.
He may well be off the beam in certain areas. But he is a paragon in many others, including the ones you have attempted to falsely twist into making him seem like a crook or a pariah. THAT'S CHARACTER ASSASSINATION, JUDSON, NOT RATIONAL DEBATE. And it's what you've always been so hypocritical about chastizing liberals for doing.
Judson, I repeat: The logic of your above argument would never convince an intelligent and objective reader of what you're trying to convince its readers about. The only clear and obvious message that comes thru -- and in bold face, large font, glowing neon letters to boot -- is: It would be next to impossible to find a more blatantly obvious hypocrite than Mr. Judson Phillips.
WHERE ARE THE FACTS about the $millions you allege Paul takes in from his newsletters? Do you have ANY facts at all to report on this or the other accusations you make?

Anyone who knew nothing about politics and listened to Ron Paul speak, in the debates or elsewhere, and compared your hysterical screed above with Paul's avuncular, composed, civil and unflappable manner and his ability to provide a rational response without hesitation to any and all comment or questions, even the vitriolic ones, would say "Gosh, that Paul guy seems like a wise and kindly and rational and almost saintly kind of fellow. I understand you wanting to protect free speech. However, when a small but vocal group of organized fanatics go from site to site spamming it with false information the rest of the readers rejected long ago, the result of such activity is they are attempting to shout down more reasonable and thoughtful people. They know that most of us are very busy, and if they can spam a site with Ron paul propaganda, they destroy the effectiveness of that site for its intended purpose; which is to promote the Tea Party, NOT Ron Paul.
Under those circumstances, the moderator either boots the more egregious Pauliban, or, he runs the risk of everyone else quietly dropping out because we do not want to be subjected to Ron Paul lies and half truths. That is a difficult decision, and I am sure it is not made lightly, but some times it is necessary to protect the rights of the majority from a minority willing to slash and burn anything they cannot control.
