There is only one government program Barack Obama wants to cut. Can you guess what it is?
From Reuters:
The Obama administration will unveil a "more realistic" vision for the military on Thursday, with plans to cut tens of thousands of ground troops and invest more in air and sea power at a time of fiscal restraint, officials familiar with the plans said on Wednesday.
The strategic review of U.S. security interests will also emphasize an American presence in Asia, with less attention overall to Europe, Africa and Latin America alongside slower growth in the Pentagon's budget, the officials said.
Though specific budget cut and troop reduction figures are not set to be announced on Thursday, officials confirmed to Reuters they would amount to a 10-15 percent decline in Army and Marine Corps numbers over the next decade, translating to tens of thousands of troops.
The most profound shift in the strategic review is an acceptance that the United States, even with the world's largest military budget, cannot afford to maintain the ground troops to fight more than one major war at once. That is a move away from the "win-win" strategy that has dominated Pentagon funding decisions for decades.
The move to a "win-spoil" plan, allowing U.S. forces to fight one campaign and stop or block another conflict, includes a recognition that the White House would need to ramp up public support for further engagement and draw more heavily on reserve and national guard troops when required.
The Obama regime has reduced the size of our military down to what it was before World War I. Obama will not be satisfied until our military rivals that of the Vatican.
The simple fact that most liberals cannot grasps is that a powerful military prevents war. No one attacks another nation when they believe that nation has the power to totally destroy the attacker. Nations only attack other nations when they are weak and that is what Obama wants to make the United States.
The Constitution enumerates a few specific responsibilities to the Federal Government but one of them is to defend the nation.
Hopefully, a year from now we will be about to swear in a real American as President. Hopefully this will be a President who understands his first job is to protect the United States.

He is trying to get Americans to hate each other but it isnt working. We are all American's no matter our politics and we believe in God. Annie

I agree that we need much more emphasis on Asia and less on Europe and Latin America, but we don't need fewer ground troops, planes, or ships. We need more.

Permalink Reply by Pat Chadwell on January 4, 2012 at 8:18pm Obama wants our military to be nothing so the MB can walk in for the take over... That he has shown from the start with his support for the MB, He does nothing for America but everything he can for other powers. Dont expect to have elections at the end of the year for he is working forward to going to martial law and by pass the election to take full power over America with the terrorist army he has let train on US soil....
Sun Tzu says no nation with an untrusted leader and political chaos can win a conflict. According to Sun Tzu's writings and beliefs, we, America, is at a very tense crossroads in our existence. No amount of money can change this nor can the size of the Empire change it.
Permalink Reply by Judy Masserano on January 4, 2012 at 8:23pm I don't like the fact that he can do that. I think we need a private office that will look into complaints about the President. Obviously that intermediary would have to be of the other party. Betty, the people are afraid of Obama. He can make someone disapear in an instant. No previous President made us feel so unsafe. He is like a venomous serpent. He doesn't get mad, he gets even. But a real president wouldn't do that.

And they will continue to do so unless we change that with our next office holders including the scumbag cowards in the Senate and House.

Permalink Reply by OneCitizenOfTheRepublic on January 4, 2012 at 8:30pm The TEA party, conservatives, all who love our nation and its constitutional rule of law...remember this phrase:
per unitatem vis ("through unity, strength") We must unit against a common foe...but it is important to understand and agree who that foe is...it is not merely Obama, any more than it was merely Hitler...it is rather the underlying evil that seeks to subvert mankind, to weaken the strong and subdue all under one powerful hand...
Progressivism is its current name, but it has been known by many names...socialism, communism, fascism...tyrants all, for those despots, and all who rule not by the permission of the governed, but by absolute power and fear.
