The Obama war.
Make no mistake the Obama Regime is at war. They are on the attack. They have chosen their enemy and now are doing their best to destroy the enemy.
Who is the enemy they are trying to destroy? The answer will surprise you. Then again, maybe not.
The enemy is American business. The latest battle in the Obama Regime’s war against business is taking shape in the administrative law courts as the Obama Consumer Product Safety Commission is trying to put a small toy business out of business.
Maxfield and Oberton make the popular adult toy Buckyballs. Buckyballs, if you are not familiar with them are little magnetic balls that are very popular in offices. In this case, all adult toys means is that these are not toys that are designed for children.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission filed suit to declare the little Buckyballs that many office workers love, a defective product.
The CPSC is following a seldom used strategy that would require the company to publicly declare their product is defective, refund all consumer’s money and then place online notices saying their product is defective.
Buckyballs is the only product that Maxfield and Oberton make. The CPSC lawsuit, if successful, would bankrupt the company and destroy a $50 million dollar small business two guys started in a New York apartment.
One of the claims against Buckyballs involves 12-year-old Sabrina Lopez. A friend brought some Buckyballs to school and she put four of them in her mouth to simulate a tongue piercing. She swallowed the balls and had to have two surgeries to have the balls removed.
Does anyone else think a 12 year old would have enough sense to know you don’t put little metal objects like that in your mouth?
Normally the CPSC demands that a company put warning labels on its products. A warning label like, this is an adult toy, if you are a child, don’t do anything stupid might be appropriate except that Maxfield and Oberton has several warning labels on Buckyballs. Those labels specifically say don’t put Buckyballs in your nose or mouth because bad things will happen if you do.
The CPSC has decided that even warning labels are not sufficient. They want Maxfield and Oberton destroyed. These two men created their part of the American dream and now the Obama Regime wants to destroy it.
The worst part about this is while Maxfield and Oberton will get their day in Court, they will not get a jury trial. An administrative law judge hears this type of suit.

The government is looking for ways to save money and cut the budget. May I suggest the government could start by eliminating the salaries of the bureaucrats who decided destroying an American business was a good idea.

Their decrees and offices are also un-Constitutional. Fools and liars in black robes let their farce pass into acceptance decades ago. They are tools of left-wing Statism which, by supporting dictatorial bureaucracies, they solidify and maintain their positions of power by under-handed political chicanery, not by efforts akin to, or concerned with, Justice.

This story makes my blood boil. You are right that people should be in the streets over this.
First it is Chick Fil A because they don't believe what our government wants them to believe.
Now, they are taking another business down because someone misused the product? Oh my, the balls are dangerous, guns are dangerous, cars are dangerous too, people get killed in them, hot coffee at McDonalds is dangerous---they shouldn't serve it, some dogs bite so we should get rid of all dogs, and no one should drink more than 12oz at one sitting! on and on and on.

I once had an enforcement branch administrative law judge say to me in private "You know we share the same bathrooms" referring to the staff enforcement lawyers. I got the hint. Settle or get put out of the industry for life. Needless to say as a normal legitimate red blooded American business person I fought on and the satisfaction I have is that I did destroy the enforcement staff lawyers years later by appearing before their commissioners and filling a verbal complaint about their behavior. It cost me my business and years of my life however it was definitely worth the effort. My administrative law judge after a three year trial took 18 months to write a 117 page opinion and he did rule in my favor on one very important point. What FUN!! You got to love this country. The Bully may win but I have his nose in my pocket. LOL

Well, these little magnets, Buckyballs, are dangerous. A kid can choke on them. Get rid of them!
At 5mm, they are about the size of a kernel or corn or a pea. These are also dangerous products products and should be recalled!
Even worse, corn and peas are marketed specifically to be put in the mouth. All should destroyed, immediately.
Perhaps the problem is that Buckyballs are magnets! Magnets come in all sizes. Your hard drive uses microscopic electromagnets while the entire earth is a magnet. Your car needs magnets, and cars kill people! We need to get rid of them! Magnets have been around at least since 2500 B.C.. It's time we grow up and eliminate these terrible devices. For the sake of our children, and all future generations!
