With Dick Lugar, the crown prince of the RINOs being retired by the good voters of Indiana, the competition in Washington among Republicans has been fast and furious to become the new crown prince of the RINOs.
Well the competition is now over and there is a new crown prince of the RINOs in DC.
Who is it?
It is liberal Lamar Alexander of Tennessee.
Earlier this year, Alexander gave up his Republican leadership position so that he could work on more, “bipartisan” efforts. Translation: Lamar was stepping up his efforts to sell out the conservative movement and help the Party of Treason.
Anyone who has ever lived in Tennessee and had to endure Alexander’s drivel about how conservative he is, when we all know what is voting record is really like, understands why he is a perfect choice to be the new crown prince of the RINOs.
Now, Alexander has cemented his hold as Dick Lugar’s replacement.
How?
Even RINOs can be expected to go to bat for their state. Not Alexander.
The Environmental Protection Agency has proposed regulations that will bankrupt coal fired power plants. Obama said he would do this when he ran for office and who can forget the EPA official who talked about crucifying the operators of coal fired power plants.
The new regulations the EPA has proposed would shut down at least 20% of the coal fired power plants in the United States and would result in Tennesseans paying 15-20% more for their electricity.
This one seems like a no brainer. But then again, if you are a liberal like Lamar thinking is not your strong suite.
Senator James Inhofe has introduced a resolution; SJR 37 that would block the implementation of the EPA regulations that are designed to bankrupt coal fired power plants. This bill cannot be filibustered however; it must first get out of the Environmental and Public Works Committee. Lamar Alexander sits on this committee.
Not only is Lamar Alexander not supporting this bill, he has said publicly he will not vote for this bill.
This is idiocy. Everyone across America will pay more for their power because of these EPA rules. Natural gas will not fill the gap, neither will nuclear. Of course Obama’s pet projects solar and wind are a joke.
It is time to start calling out these RINOs and we need to start with Lamar Alexander.
We need to call Lamar Alexander’s office and tell him to support SJR 37 and stop these EPA regulations that will make electricity more expensive for all of us.
Alexander’s office numbers are 202-224-4944 and his Nashville office is 615-736-5129.
If this bill can get out of committee, the Senate will have no choice but to vote on it and vote to kill those economy killing EPA regulations. This is why we must pressure Alexander into voting for SJR 37.
Thanks to my friend Nathan Moore at 3starstrategies.com for the heads up on this.

Permalink Reply by Rick Butkowski on June 11, 2012 at 6:41pm Goodbusiness -- RINO's are just as dangerous as hardcore Liberals, virtually no difference. We have to replace Democrats AND RINOs.
Permalink Reply by Judson Phillips on June 11, 2012 at 8:33pm RINOs are not harmless. They kill a conservative agenda by selling out to the left or just refusing to help us advance conservatism.
Permalink Reply by JC Patriot on June 11, 2012 at 8:57pm How about this analogy:
RINO's are to democraps as Romney is to Obummer.
(Not quite pure evil, just too darned close).

Permalink Reply by Thomas Whyte on June 12, 2012 at 6:21am When is the election to oust him out of office???????
I suggest we do that and replace him with a true conservative. What do you all think?
Permalink Reply by Mary Creekmore on June 12, 2012 at 6:59am I heard about this the other day became very angry. Sending this information on to everyone I know here in the great state of Tennessee. I thought Lamar announced he was going to retire? What happened to that idea? Maybe he needs to get a jump on that.
Permalink Reply by Dennis L on June 12, 2012 at 8:11am Lamar Alexander is not a conservative, has never been a conservative, will never be a conservative.
Alexander served as president of the Liberal University of Tennesee. He also was a faculty member at Harvard University.
Alexander broke ranks with Republicans to vote for the confirmation of far leftist Harold Hongiu Koh to be the legal advisor to the state department. Mr Koh is adamantly opposed to the 2nd amendement and the LEGAL ownership of firearms.
He announced his support for supreme court justice Sonia Sotomayer and voted for her confirmation.
He is known as a "Moderate" among his colleagues in D.C. and has voted for more liberal legislation than any other Republican in the Senate,
This guy is a disgusting two faced Liberal.

Lindsey Graham signed Grover Norquist's famous pledge not to raise taxes, but he doesn't agree with the whole thing anymore.
Permalink Reply by daves on June 12, 2012 at 9:17am I would rather pay a higher price for electricity than continue with the many ill effects of coal power. Good for you Senator Alexander.
Permalink Reply by Clarence E. DeBarrows on June 12, 2012 at 11:27am Don't focus so strongly on Alexander, bad as he is, that you forget Marco Rubio, the non-natural born Citizen, who is being pushed hard by the establishment to run as Romney's VP. Alexander is obviously disgusting, but Rubio could be VP if the powers that be have their way. A VP who does not qualify as a natural born Citizen as required under our Constitution. He would be inelligible, under Article II to accede to the Presidency if something happened to Romney, but then, not to worry, We already have a President who does not qualify and that's working out great for us, isnt' it!
