With Dick Lugar, the crown prince of the RINOs being retired by the good voters of Indiana, the competition in Washington among Republicans has been fast and furious to become the new crown prince of the RINOs.
Well the competition is now over and there is a new crown prince of the RINOs in DC.
Who is it?
It is liberal Lamar Alexander of Tennessee.
Earlier this year, Alexander gave up his Republican leadership position so that he could work on more, “bipartisan” efforts. Translation: Lamar was stepping up his efforts to sell out the conservative movement and help the Party of Treason.
Anyone who has ever lived in Tennessee and had to endure Alexander’s drivel about how conservative he is, when we all know what is voting record is really like, understands why he is a perfect choice to be the new crown prince of the RINOs.
Now, Alexander has cemented his hold as Dick Lugar’s replacement.
How?
Even RINOs can be expected to go to bat for their state. Not Alexander.
The Environmental Protection Agency has proposed regulations that will bankrupt coal fired power plants. Obama said he would do this when he ran for office and who can forget the EPA official who talked about crucifying the operators of coal fired power plants.
The new regulations the EPA has proposed would shut down at least 20% of the coal fired power plants in the United States and would result in Tennesseans paying 15-20% more for their electricity.
This one seems like a no brainer. But then again, if you are a liberal like Lamar thinking is not your strong suite.
Senator James Inhofe has introduced a resolution; SJR 37 that would block the implementation of the EPA regulations that are designed to bankrupt coal fired power plants. This bill cannot be filibustered however; it must first get out of the Environmental and Public Works Committee. Lamar Alexander sits on this committee.
Not only is Lamar Alexander not supporting this bill, he has said publicly he will not vote for this bill.
This is idiocy. Everyone across America will pay more for their power because of these EPA rules. Natural gas will not fill the gap, neither will nuclear. Of course Obama’s pet projects solar and wind are a joke.
It is time to start calling out these RINOs and we need to start with Lamar Alexander.
We need to call Lamar Alexander’s office and tell him to support SJR 37 and stop these EPA regulations that will make electricity more expensive for all of us.
Alexander’s office numbers are 202-224-4944 and his Nashville office is 615-736-5129.
If this bill can get out of committee, the Senate will have no choice but to vote on it and vote to kill those economy killing EPA regulations. This is why we must pressure Alexander into voting for SJR 37.
Thanks to my friend Nathan Moore at 3starstrategies.com for the heads up on this.

Permalink Reply by Jo Gonzalez on June 11, 2012 at 4:47pm Thank you, Judson for the Notification, it is impossible, for the everyday Citizen ( or almost anyone) to keep up with constant barrage of their attacks on us. By calling attention to these things, you not only expose Alexander, for the phony he is, but you alert all of us to Action. I urge every single person to call, and call now, and then call again, kind of like my Daily call to John Boehner, demanding he "do something,Stupid". I do not say this on the phone call, I only think it. I do demand he act, as WE HE PEOPLE gave him his job, and since we are paying him, we expect him to work for us. The quickest way to do this, is to put all these numbers in your cell phone. Make it easy for you to hit and button, and make your Voice heard.
In short. Lamar Alexander is ignoramus Moron. I get many of his letters updating us how hard has he been working for our state. Lamar has no understanding of the problem he is creating for us. EPA or no EPA, who is going to stop hundreds of coal fired thermal electric plants that China and India are building. They need energy for their economic growth and we are no one to tell them how should or shouldn't they plan their growth. Ignorance of our leaders is going to send us to the back of the pack as we already are falling behind.
I have been thinking for a while, long before Lamar comes with brain dead idea of opposing SJR 37, that we should have our conservative candidate against Lamar in the next election.
Because of the establishment of the TVA in 1933, the state of Tennessee is most dependent upon electricity. Highest per-capita consumption of all states!
At the same time, TN relies on 60% coal-fired generation plants, versus 50% national average.
Projections last year predicted 27% increases in utility bills in TN by 2014, versus 7.5% in North-Eastern states.
This is Global Warming, EPA costs, right?
Alexander in no way represents the State of Tennessee! Economic disaster will occur within this state, and surrounding states! He needs to be gone, gone, gone. Many people will die, they'll freeze!

Ha!
Al uses about 25 times the average consumption , though! An extremely high reliance on heat pumps in TN....and temps often fall to 0 F., Limited natural gas availability. Much is all electric!

My huge hope is that Romney will roll back these foolish intentions and go aggressively ahead on the Keystone pipeline and Anwar.
My fear is the increased damage Obama will cause to the USA between Nov and January, when he leaves the West Wing. Obama is a Master Idiot!

Unless the "Pink-Panty Clown Princesses" of the Congress and Senate suddenly, and uncharacteristically take appropriate action, the absolute earliest Romney can do anything will be 20 January 2013.
It can get mighty cold well before that time.
