To err is human but to really screw things up, you need talent the caliber of the Obama regime.

They have managed to take what should have been a celebration of victory and make it almost anything but.  Americans celebrated the death of our archenemy.  Obama looked like he was seriously inconvenienced.   Did he even smile one time when he was making the speech?

Now that Team Obama has managed to totally FUBAR the situation, theories of all kinds are running through the Internet.

First, the Jihadists are spreading the story that Bin Laden is not really dead.  This is one that will never go away.  It could have with a prompt display of the evidence.   News reports say that members of the Obama regime consulted with Islamic experts to make sure that Bin Laden received a proper Islamic funeral.

Why?

That question has been debated and will continue to be debated.  But by following the foolish idea that we must some how appease the Muslims by giving Bin Laden an Islamic funeral destroyed the best evidence we had that we had killed him.  Why was the Obama regime in such a hurry to dispose of the body?

Conspiracy theorists will go to the ends of the earth with that one.  The simple answer is the Obama regime is too incompetent to handle anything this important.

Some of the other conspiracy theories are even more interesting.  Some claim that Bin Laden was killed in Tora Bora in 2001 or died of kidney failure in 2001 to 2003.   A few have even claimed that Bin Laden’s body had been preserved in a morgue since then for use at an appropriate time.

Please, give me a break!

Does anyone really understand how much would be involved in a conspiracy like that?  Does anyone really believe such a secret could have been kept for 5-10 years?  Does anyone really believe if that were true, it would not have come out in Wikileaks?  Does anyone really think that if Bin Laden had been killed by America in the 2001-2003 time frame, Bush and company would not have announced this right before the 2004 elections?  Remember how close that election was.  Had Ohio gone they other way, Barack Obama would still be a Senator from Illinois and John Kerry would have had at least one term as President.

There is a truism in life.  The simplest explanation is most likely the correct explanation.

The simplest explanation is, forty-eight hours ago; Seal Team Six from the United States Navy blew away the most wanted fugitive in the world.

The simplest explanation is also that there is not a thing in the world that Obama and his regime cannot screw up.

Team Obama is very good at running a campaign.  When it comes to actually running a government, they are an epic fail.

If o'bummer knows even one percent of what is actually going on, he would not have time to play golf like he does.

The official chain of command dictates he be apprised of policy items, but he has little or no actual input on day-to-day activities.

Obama took a pass on Osama in March.  He gave the orders he gave because he had no choice.  It is not hard to be brave when you have no choice.  If he had failed to give the order to take out Bin Laden and America had found out we could have (and America would have found out during the campaign), Obama would lose in a 50 state landslide.
JUDSON... Wasn't there something on the Internet which said Obama was being influenced by some woman NOT to take bin Laden down ... but Pannetta and Hillary pushed it ... with Pannetta actually giving the order before Obama even knew about it.  Essentially, we had a mini-coup in the White House. Best always, John
I tend to agree, there's nothing to smile about here.  It's disquieting to see Americans cheering in the streets.  Yeah, justice was served, but war and dead people is not a joyous occasion... rather a sobering one.  If I were the President and ordered his execution, I most definitely wouldn't be smiling about it.  It was probably a good idea that they did the Muslim burial because if they didn't, it might further enrage the nutcases which results in more innocent dead non-Muslims world-wide.  It's easy to say, "who cares", but if a person has family members living among Muslims as missionaries, etc., that person might think twice about fanning the flames of blood-lust and endangering the lives of their family.

Toinette, I truly appreciate your point of view.  You stated, "do we truly want our President on television gloating and and taunting the world?"

What do you think he is doing by going to NYC on Thursday to "mark Osama bin Laden's death"?(http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_OBAMA_GROUND_ZERO?SITE=AP...)  If that isn't "gloating" then I don't know what is.

He went to Ground Zero as a candidate (2008) and he's going again as a "candidate"--doesn't it concern you that he is politicizing this for his own re-election?  If I recall, in 2009 as President--he went to the Pentagon, not Ground Zero (and while that's admirable, he could have gone to all 3 places in one day--after all--he can go to Chicago to tape Oprah, then jet off to NYC for a couple of fundraisers all in the same day); in 2010 he did not attend again--he sends Biden (while he's back in DC pushing his Edward M. Kennedy day of service as 9/11 has now been designated).

Thanks for considering my comments as I have considered yours.

I live in Nashville.  One year ago, we had a disasterous flood.  Did Obama visit Nashville?  No.  I am truly shocked he went to Alabama since he has no chance of winning AL.  Texas is ripped apart with wild fires.  He hasn't gone there and I don't think he has declared Texas a disaster area either.

Remember, if Obama had had his way, we would be out of A-stan right now.  We would have closed GITMO.  We would have never used enhanced interrogation techniques on prisoners.  We would have had to read them their rights and turn them over to ACLU lawyers who would have told them to keep their mouths shut.

There is a report going around the internet that the Pentagon basically launched this operation without Obama's approval.  He was only told about it 48 hours in advance and that he tried to abort the mission.  Before I lend my stamp of approval to that story by blasting it out, I am trying to get more information about it.  Given Obama's track record, I believe the story could well be true.  Did you see his body language as he announced Bin Laden's death?  He looked like a man who was angry.  Not elated, relieved, sad or even troubled, but angry.

Obama deserves zero credit.  The credit goes to the men and woman of our military and intelligence services that put there lives on the line.  They are the one's who we should give credit to.

To the best of my knowledge, Obama has not visited Texas as he promised, though the Texas governor has publicly begged him to do so. Correct me if I am wrong. I know he said he was going to go there last Friday, but all I heard about was Alabama. I live just a few miles from Smithville, MS where an F-5 tornado wiped out the town. There were people killed there too. As far as I know, Obama did not visit Mississippi either.

I can tell you, he had better not show up at MY front door... He is a vile, arrogant, dunce!

JEFF .. But what do you REALLY think of him... hahahaha  Best always, John

Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough...

Message to Obama: Bang!

Totally agree...no gravesite, no "shrine".  And, while I am glad that he is gone, or perhaps relieved would be a better word...I cannot find it in my heart to rejoice and gloat over someone's death.  I will never forget the people dancing in the streets after 9/11...we need to be better than that.

I don't like Obama, don't want to see him as President, really don't want to see him serve a second term.  But give credit where it is due...Bin Laden is dead, the world is rid of an evil man, and as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces at the time it happened, Obama deserves the credit for that action...as does President Bush, who got the ball rolling with the intelligence they received at GITMO.

Wouldn't it be better to say it was "America" who rid the world of this terrorist--after all, it took the work of many people over many years, with many lives lost.  This cannot and should not be awarded to one man/administration--this is a victory for The United States of America.

This is a vivid demonstration of the typical American inability to relate cause to effect properly.

It is similar to the mistake that people make when they say, "The mortgage crisis of 2008 was Bush's fault because 'it happened on his watch'".  Bush was merely blindsided by the pile of sub-prime mortgages which Fannie Mae was dishing out due to the orders from the Clinton (D) administration to create more "affordable housing", as dictated by Carter's (D) Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 and Barney Frank's (D) refusal to investigate Fannie Mae.

Obama got an "opportunity" dropped on him, because the 10 hard years of searching for Osama by the CIA and the military finally paid off.

The credit belongs to the dedicated agents and soldiers who risked their lives to gather the most sensitive information in the world.

Obama was a bystander who lucked out and was smart enough to take advantage of a "bluebird".

Good for him.
