There are few people in American politics inspire more passion either pro or con than Sarah Palin. There is a myth about Sarah Palin.
The myth of Sarah Palin is that Palin is an idiot.
Is Palin an idiot?
HBO’s Movie “Game Change” would have you think so. That film could be considered an in-kind contribution to the Democrat party and they sure want people to believe , Palin is raving lunatic.
The Republican establishment is jumping on that bandwagon too. They would like everyone to believe she’s as dump as a box of rocks.
However, the myth of Sarah Palin being an idiot is just that, a myth.
So much so, that Sarah Palin just challenged Barack Obama to a debate. On her Facebook page, Palin said:
“Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s “enemy of the week” if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about.”
Wow. Obama was just thrown a hanging curve ball, but don’t expect him to swing at it.
If Palin were really the idiot that the left believes she is, Obama would have jumped all over that offer. Think about this for a second. This would have been a great opportunity for Obama to boost himself and go after a major conservative figure. If Sarah Palin were really stupid, it would be a no brainer for him to take her up on her offer.
Palin’s offer to debate the issues would be great for Obama. It takes all of the attention away from the Republicans who are actually running for President.
So why doesn’t Obama take the bait?
It is very simple. Obama knows Sarah Palin is pretty smart and he also knows he is not the debater that a lot of people want to say that he is.
That is the great secret here. Unfortunately the media is never going to report this. The drive by media wants to continue the narrative that Palin is dumb.
I, for one, would pay good money to see Sarah Palin debate Barack Obama. It would be great entertainment and it would be fun to watch the myth of Barrack Obama’s “genius” destroyed on primetime TV by the smart and politically savvy former Governor of Alaska.
Game change? How about, “Game on!”

Looking at it from his point of view, though, the risks outweigh the benefits. If he debates her and she does well, then HE takes the hit - it's not as if the lamestream media will turn around and say, "Gee, we WAS WRONG about Mrs. Palin - she's a sharp one indeed!"
No, he'd be subjected to the Internet and conservative "backlash" because he failed (as we all know he would) to put her in her place, and to once again prove his oratorical and intellectual might.
People with large egos typically have ONE large private fear; I believe that Obama's fear is to be PROVED less than he (or anyone who supports him) thinks. THAT is intolerable to him ... and I also believe that, deep down in places he doesn't talk about at parties, he KNOWS Sarah Palin is NO dummy; which means that he would never risk giving her an opportunity to win against him - under ANY circumstances.
The same goes for Rush Limbaugh; if President Obama can find the time to pick up the phone and call Sandra Fluke, he can certainly debate El Rushbo. But ... do you EVER see him deciding to do so - under ANY circumstances?

They have an audience that adores them hanging on every word and smirk, and they know that no matter what they say about a conservative that it's going to get a big applause. This is how liberals slap each other on the back and massage each other's egos. Even the trolls do the same thing to somehow validate the nonsense the first guy said.

Why then is the left still using time, effort and money to keep running her down? The only reason you continue going after something that is no longer a threat is because you still see that thing a threat and still fear it.

Permalink Reply by Gary Jackson on They are worried the GOP is headed for a brokered convention. Though the likelihood of a brokered convention is small, the likelihood Sarah Palin would end up being the nominee is quite high.

Permalink Reply by Agi Yaeger on It is a known fact that what ever liberals touch, turns to crap. Polls have been taken of movies from Hollyweird produced by Libs. They turn out to be busts time and time again. Their longevity in the movies is much less at the box office than conservative movies.
I have yet to see a book written by the progressives make the top 10 best book list either in the NYT or Amazon, yet the conservative ones in less than a week make that list.
The same could be said about their attempt at talk show radio. Government subsidies programs don't help the liberal shows much and most have gone by the wayside. And conservative shows funded by private advertisements are off the charts. There are more shows that are popping up on the radio than there are time slots.
Bottom line, progressives have no talent, nor intelligence to create interesting and infomative programs as seen by their lack of abilties to debate us. Therefore, they have to divert to lies,name calling, demonizations and anything else they can throw at us.
Sarah, don't worry, it will make you more popular to all of us. After all, we are the only ones who count. You go girl!!!

People decided they did not want a woman that was smarter and better looking than the public. We the people are as bad as Obama and his liberal followers. We are at edge of no return because of our foolish thoughts. Obama could not find his way out of a one room house. Debate Sarah and his butt would be mud. We the people owe this woman a great deal and should apologize to her. At the convention maybe we can redeem ourself.

I don't believe Carter despised America, because I never can remember hearing Carter disparage America and/or American Judeo/Chritian Values. Carter was just basically incompetant, with a penchant for "micro" managing.
Obama is not a "President" in that Obama IS NOT Presidential.
Obama is just a "carping" cowardly wimp, casting blame on everything and everyone He can, though inside I feel Obama in any situation of personal reflection NOW sees Himself as the genuine object of derision that He has become.
