In case you have not noticed, the media is a fullfledged arm of the reelect Obama campaign.    The media is working overtime to protect Obama and help him get four more years.

From Breitbart.com:

While the internet buzzed with Breitbart News’ release of a booklet from President Obama’s literary agency circa 1991 describing him as being “born in Kenya,” the mainstream media still refuses to report the story, or plays defense for Obama.

Never mind that the agency used the “born in Kenya” biography until 2007. Never mind that authors who have worked with the agency state that the agency asks that authors pen their own biographies. Never mind that Obama has routinely padded his biographical details to appeal to particular audiences.

 Nothing to see here.

Michael Shear, at the New York Times, was in full defense mode:

“Perhaps the darker side of politics is always close to the surface … the conservative Drudge Report Web site published a headline: “BORN IN KENYA,” based on a three-decade-old promotional booklet for a publisher that included an inaccurate biography of Mr. Obama. It stayed on the site for much of the afternoon. The headline linked to a report at Breitbart news, another conservative site, which suggests that the booklet represents a pattern in which Obama — or the people representing and supporting him — manipulate his public persona.’”

We presented a document. The Times calls that “the darker side of politics.” Absurd. And that was the Times’ only coverage of the story – dismissing Obama’s pattern of biographical manipulation without comment. All the news that’s not fit to print.

How about the Washington Post, the paper that assured us that Mitt Romney’s 50-year-old haircut incidents were news? It trotted out leftist stalwarts and Friends of Media Matters Greg Sargent and Erik Wemple to cover for Obama and his literary agency. Sargent scoffed, “rumor has it the whitey tape will break any minute now.” Wemple’s only comment: “Okay.”

How about the Los Angeles Times, which still refuses to release tape of Obama speaking with Palestine Liberation Organization former spokesman Rashid Khalidi at an anti-Israel event? Not a word.

How about Obama’s hometown paper, the Chicago Tribune? Crickets. The Boston Globe? Nada. CBS? Nope. NBC? Nothing. ABC News’ website did mention the story, but only by syndicating a Yahoo! News report – and meanwhile, Jake Tapper was on Twitter, downplaying the story.

Gee, after all of these years, the media façade is crumbling.

The old media is crumbling.  We conservatives should just help it along.  The good news for us is the new media is growing and the old drive by media, four years from now will have gone the way of the Dinosaurs and the Dodo bird.

Thanks for the information.

When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps the loudest is the one you hit.

LOVE that!

Honestly, the new media, our last free press, is our only hope of saving our country.

It's not necessarily true that the old media has to die to make room for it.  Now, we need CNS, PajamasMedia, Breitbart, Drudge, etc. to circulate news that the Pravda division of the White House won't touch...

But our country would be well-served by responsible, thorough, ideologically-balanced, independent reporting on domestic and international events.  I'd pay for that!!!  Who would do the reporting?  The graduates of journalism schools aren't up to the task.

Maybe this is an example of what the DVD Is. 9:10 talked about when it said American has become defiant and self righteous and blocking God out of our nation and lives.  The media sure is doing an excellent job of what they are publishing as "truth" and trying to change the way we think and do along with our leadership.  People are becoming blind and not knowing what is true and what is to believe.  I sure hope we wake up soon from this nighmare and see the light.

Well said Bonnie!

Gives new meaning to black journalism; or was that yellow journalism?

Whatever!

Keep up the good work Judson!

One can only hope.

I think that a conservative with the money to buy NBC or CBS could make a lot of money by turning one of them back into a real news station.

Wouldn't that be great!  Bonus: sponsors would not have to be afraid of being boycotted due to offensive, slanted reporting and presenters!  What an idea!

Thank you for this article, Judson.   The MSM is a real problem for us.   One more example --

How The “Mainstream” Media Responded To “Obama Born In Kenya” Booklet

by Daniel Noe

I got back home yesterday evening just after 6 pm after a busy day at work from the Western Center for Journalism. Usually, the first thing I do when I get home is to turn on my computer and check my personal e-mail (I subscribe to a lot of libertarian/conservative website newsletters/alerts.)

Yahoo is my home page. Sure enough, when the page comes up, the top story is titled: “Did 1991 Mistake Spark ‘Birther’ Issue?” I was somewhat surprised that the media even covered it today, yet at the same time I was not surprised as it shows how far the liberal media will go to protect
