The media finally notices SWATing.
Conservative bloggers for some time have known about SWATing. SWATing is the favorite tactic of certain liberal extremists. They fake a 911 call to the police claiming a violent incident has occurred at a home and then the police show up with guns drawn.
It can be very dangerous.

Conservative bloggers are on heightened alert following a string of so-called "SWAT-ing" incidents and are taking precautionary measures to ensure they don't fall victim to the potentially dangerous prank as the political blogosphere prepares for a heated election season.
"SWAT-ing" refers to a hoax in which an anonymous prankster falsely reports a violent crime at an unsuspecting person's home, prompting a police team to respond to the location believing a dangerous situation is at hand.
The illegal practice has in recent months targeted well-known conservative writers and commentators, including Erick Erickson, founder of the blog RedState.com -- who claims he was eating dinner with his family in May when a SWAT team surrounded his home following such a false 911 call.
The growing trend, which some say could one day prove deadly, had conservatives on edge at the annual RightOnline conference of right-wing bloggers and activists in Las Vegas this weekend.
"What they're clearly trying to do is dampen down free speech, but it goes beyond that -- it's putting people's physical safety in jeopardy," said Ali Akbar, who heads a group called the National Bloggers Club made up of conservative online writers.
Akbar told FoxNews.com that he believes he is a target after he claims his mother's home address in Texas was posted on various Internet sites to "incite someone crazy on the fringe left to do something absolutely awful to one of us for what we're talking about."
Finally, the media is talking about this.
It is a good thing too.
Perhaps the media pressure will finally force the Department of Justice to get involved. Former DOJ lawyer J. Christian Adams said that if Eric Holder gave the word for the Feds to get involved, SWATing could be shut down in 48 hours.
Holder nor Obama are going to voluntarily do anything.
They do not care if conservatives are threatened. They want conservatives silenced.
This is just another reason why Obama must be gone after this election. We need an Attorney General who will stop this type of activity.
As long as the Obama Regime is in power, conservative bloggers will remain in the crosshairs.
Literally.

Deceitful ness is rampant in this damn dysfunctional government . We simply have to to restore the standards of integrity, morals and truthfulness. The Founders spoke fatten of the necessity for chosen "representatives " for a Constitutional Republic" !

I agree that we need to restore integrity, morals & truthfulness, but maybe , just possibly, there might be one conservative somewhere out there who would be willing to turn the tables on the libs who are doing the SWATing. Maybe the SWATers would think twice after that. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

FNC has covered it...did a pretty fair job of it, too...ran the story several times a day for three or four days on different programs...
Of course, the alternative media have covered it in-depth...but the LeftLegacyMedia haven't touched it so far as I'm aware...US DOJ won't touch such an investigation until CBS news complains...and how likely is that to happen?

As the propaganda continues from the left (fully supported by a wacko liberal media) that the T.E.A. Party movement members are "extremists"....never mind there has never been an incident involving anything illegal or extreme at nearly 2,000 T.E.A. Party events nationwide thus far (unless you consider waving the American flag, singing patriotic songs and giving speeches about the virtues of freedom and free economies too extreme for you.....duh....), some of that same media are finally coming out of their stupor and remembering what their profession is supposed to be about, i.e., reporting facts and real news without ideological editorializing! Keep your expectations low, however, and continue listening to them with a guarded ear.....freedom and truth are not yet to be taken for granted and both are still highly endangered species.

There are many who are waiting patiently for the election. If Obama gets re-elected, all hell will break loose. The gloves will be off, and patriots will have to be prepared to go up against Obama's National Civilian Security Corp, "as large and well funded as the army". Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

As a Veteran, Oathkeeper, and a Constitutional Conservative I certainly hope you are right. Four more years of The Obomination would make for a intolerable situation. I will be prepared for the worst if it comes to a second civil war.
I still believe the Tea Party needs to take a more active role into forming a third political party. Once we regain control of Congress we can never again become lax in how our country is run. We have been shown a first class example why, with this current administration.
Again I have no love for Mitt 'The Drooler' Romney, who is a moderate Republican at best, but I will cast my vote for him as four more years of The Obomination isn't even on the table. At least Mr. Romney is a man who believes and supports America and the free market system.
If Romney gets this country turned around and on the right path, a second term would be a no-brainer. We will have to wait and see.

This is a link to a FreeRepublic article from 2009 that I believe does a nice job of describing the American political system. The statist Democrats have gone so far to the left that from their perspective centrists appear to be far right. As Constitutionalists, we are to the left of anarchists and to the right of statists. That puts us in the stable center----If, as Franklin said, we can keep it!
