When we think of a dictator, we usually think of someone in another country, wearing a military uniform, watching his troops goose-step down the main boulevard.
It can’t happen to America, can it?
It is happening in America. It is happening right now and we are mostly ignoring it. What is worse, the group that should be jumping up to defend freedom is mostly sitting on the sidelines.
The term dictator comes from the word dictate or to which means to speak or act domineeringly.
Can anyone seriously argue this is not exactly what we are seeing from the Obama Regime?
Does anyone remember Obama’s big slogan, “We can’t wait?” Obama said point blank that he could not wait for Congress nor would he. The man the left likes to point out was a Constitutional law professor (actually he was a mere instructor), either cannot read the Constitution or he willfully ignores it.
The greatest concentrations of power in the Constitution are reserved for three groups: The Congress, the States and the People.
Unfortunately for Obama, all three oppose him so he can’t wait so he acts in a dictatorial fashion.
In 2009, he created Czars to by pass the Constitutional requirement that senior administration officials be permitted only with the advice and consent of the Senate.
When Obama does not like a law, what does he do? He ignores it. The Defense of Marriage Act is the prime example. This law was passed by Congress and signed into law by Bill Clinton. Obama, not the Supreme Court, decided it was unconstitutional. Instead of going back to Congress asking that Congress repeal this law, he announced he would order the Justice Department not to defend the law in Court.
Obama objected to “No Child Left Behind.” While “No Child Left Behind” is a bad law, instead of asking Congress to repeal it, he just grants waivers so the law is effectively gutted.
Obama wanted his DREAM Act passed. When Congress refused, he announced he was not going to enforce immigration laws he did not like. When Congress would not pass Cap and Trade, he directed the EPA to impose it administratively. Congress would not pass Net Neutrality so the FCC in a brazen power grab imposed it.
The list of Obama’s usurpations grows by the day. Anything he does not like, he uses the power of the Federal Government to stop. Anything from oil exploration to fracking to a state’s attempts to protect itself against illegal immigration, if Obama does not like it he will use the overwhelming power of the Federal Government to stop it. He will do so regardless of the wishes of Congress, the American people or the Constitution.
Where are the Republicans while this is going on?
They were nowhere to be found.
In fairness to the GOP, from 2009 until 2011, there was nothing they could do. With the Party of Treason holding a majority in the House and a super majority in the Senate, they were stuck.
Since 2011, what have the Republicans done about Obama?
Not a damn thing.
They have not defunded his czars.
They have not defunded the FCC.
They have not defunded Obamacare.
They have not taken a single action to change Obama’s behavior. When Obama announced that he would no longer defend court challenges to the Defense of Marriage Act, what was the GOP’s response? They hired a law firm to handle the defense. That was it.
What was the GOP’s response to Obama’s amnesty? Not a damn thing.
The only thing the Republicans did was run for the cameras, making the most dangerous spot in America, the space between them and a camera.
The Republicans are now campaigning on the theme of elect them to stop Obama. That’s a great theory but in the last year and a half they have had the tools to at least slow him down.
What do we Americans have to show for that?
Not a damn thing.
America stands at the edge of the cliff. We are about to lose our freedoms to a dictatorship. What will Obama do if he has a second term? What will he do if he is no longer constrained by the prospect of facing the voters again? As Obama told the Russians, wait until after the elections when he is free to do what he wants.
We cannot stand a second Obama term.
What is worse, the Republicans are doing nothing to stop Obama’s radical expansion of power. Does anyone really believe that if Mitt Romney is in fact the nominee and gets elected, he will do anything to reduce the power of the Executive Branch of the Government?
We have a terrible choice this year. We cannot allow under any circumstances a second Obama term. We must do what ever it takes to make certain that the Party of Treason is voted out of power.

Thank you for your attempt to wake people up.. Now we must get Obama out, even if it means voting for another rino, because staying home will result in the destruction of our country.... Romney was certainly not my choice for the primaries, by a long shot, but if I have to walk miles on crutches to vote AGAINST Obama, I will do so.. I love America. I will do anything I can to help prevent further damage to it. In another 4 years under him, we will NOT even recognise this country.

If Romney survives and is on the ballot in Nov I will vote for him vs Obama. I went down the road several years ago and voted for Perot and we got 8 years of Clinton. I don't think we can survive 8 years of Obama. Hopefully we can survive 4 years of Romney with a strong conservative House and Senate - I even have doubts of that happening too.

Your argument is now moot and is a waste of time. As I said in a post above, getting rid of Odumbo is "JOB ONE"! Once we have accomplished that, we can work on things such as getting Newt elected. If you or anyone else here on TPN can't understand the point of Judson's post (that we MUST dethrone Odumbo) then you are the one(s) who shouldn't be allowed to wander around by yourselves!
Permalink Reply by Ronald Sorrells on The GOP still has too many Rinos who have to be taken down. Not sure I totally agree that the GOP led house has done nothing. WInning the house in 2010, while still having the Democrats controlling the Senate and White House really only accomplished one thing - slow the bleeding until those other two institutions changed. The 2008 Congress gave us that BS stimulus AND Obamacare. Had the GOP not taken over in 2010, it's reasonable to conclude that we would have had one or too more more wasteful stimulus packages, a massive amnesty program, and perhaps a move for the feds to relieve underwater home mortgages, a scheme to stick it to lenders and taxpayers such as the plan California is trying to pull.

In my view, three things need to happen to begin that cure: 1st, change the tax system to the Fair Tax Plan. 2nd) Pass a balanced budget amendment. 3rd) Pass election campaign laws that would allow anyone to contribute to any campaign fund and their names and amounts be openly posted on a daily updated website. Even these so-called anonymous small donors should be identified. It's a fool's errand to believe that the Barrack Obama campaign received nearly a billion dollars in anonymous $200 or less donations in 2008. The current tax system, the out-of-control borrowing and spending, and the unaccountable money in politics creates an environment that is as condusive to corruption as an open wound is to infection. Finally, every candidate for President & Vice President, regardless of party, must be required to disclose any and all personal history records including college, medical, and financial. We simply cannot have a man with so much power, indeed the power destroy the country, be someone almost nobody really knows.
Permalink Reply by Noel Smith on I agree with the idea of a consumption tax but I do not agree with the system they are proposing on that site and I think that is why it cannot get traction with the people. The tax needs to be just what it is with NO exemptions nor any rebate cards or any other such nonsense. The idea is to be able to get EVERYONE to pay their FAIR share (as the liberals like to call it) and by rebating or returning tax money back to the so called poverty stricken defeats the purpose of the tax. Everyone will hide their income again and claim to be poverty stricken while riding around in their BMW. Screw that!! NO EXEMPTIONS!!! Now to the real reason that they propose this idiotic rebate system in the first place. They are under the misguided belief that prices will rise because of this tax. Actually if we eliminate all income taxes and corporate taxes so all Americans and businesses can make as much money as they want with no archaic tax penalty for being successful then prices will actually go down and the Fair tax will become negligible. You would actually see about a 20 to 25 % decrease in pricing due to business competition and the reduced amount of labor that is required to run existing business. No more need for payroll accounting to collect the Illegal income tax anymore and no need for lawyers on retainer to help defend your business from the IRS and no more corporate income tax that is built into the cost of goods sold (which the consumer is paying right now anyway)!! So overall there is no need for an exemption of any kind nor special rebates to anyone!! All Americans have the responsibility to put some skin in the game and it is time for that to become law!! No more entire free rides for anyone!!
