John McCain represents everything that is wrong with the Republican Party. He acts more like a liberal democrat than a Republican. In fact, a few years ago, he actively toyed with the idea of switching parties. Had he done so, we might have been spared the Obama regime.
McCain has been leading the charge for amnesty, except of course, when he needs to people of Arizona to reelect him. He has led the charge against the First Amendment. Now his latest bit of lunacy is a comment he made in an article in the Washington Post.
McCain said, “I disagree with many of the president's policies, but I believe he is a patriot sincerely intent on using his time in office to advance our country's cause.”
Has John McCain totally lost touch with reality? Barack Obama a patriot? Yes, and I am the Pope.
Obama is intent on using his time in office to advance our country’s cause? When? When he assaulted the rights of Americans? When his regime tried brand patriotic Americans as extremists? When his regime tried to take over the Internet? When they tried to impose a “fairness doctrine” on the only media conservatives dominate? When they tried to shove a socialist agenda down the throats of Americans, despite overwhelming proof that Americans did not want this? How about when he went out apologizing to every third world tyrant for America? How about when he bowed to foreign leaders?
What about when Obama regime put oil business in the Gulf out of business? What about when Obama was squandering America’s wealth at an amazing rate? Was destroying our economy a patriotic act? How about refusing to secure the border? Was that a patriotic act?
Patriotism is something that is not unknowable or even not immeasurable. If John McCain claims Obama is a patriot, may we see some evidence of this patriotism? Perhaps he might actually act like he loves this country. Of course, we could ask for the same from John McCain.
If Obama were simply incompetent, we might expect that he would occasionally get something right. What we see from Obama is not an incompetent fool. He knows exactly what he is doing. From being raised by a mother who hated America, to associating with America hating communists in his youth, he gravitated to communist, America hating professors in College and associated with America hating political groups until it looked like he might actually go somewhere in his political career.
Obama is no patriot and neither is McCain. McCain’s supporters always point to the years he spent as a POW in Viet Nam. He did serve this country in ways most of us cannot imagine. But that does not give him a free pass for the rest of his life.
Obama hates America and that is obvious. Why John McCain aids and abets this may end up being one of the great mysteries of life.

I believe that your letter should be addressed to John McCain and not be used as a rant on this forum. I have noticed several recently and think you are hurting the Tea Party. There are far more imperfect dems than republicans and what they do is far worse than what McCain is or has done. I am writing this as a strong believer in the Tea Party. I believe what you and others have accomplished has the potential to save this country from the current fraud in chief and the progressive and marxists. Realize that the liberal web sites will pick up on this and make hay with it. Our group would be best served with going after the left. I believe that each false or attacking article from the left should be our target and we have a very strong group to support that. starting with Sarah Palin and going through all the powerful radio talk show people and with heritage, the anti liberal zone, Brent bozell and andy Breitbart. I believe that we will be further ahead to help them with their work than attacking Republicans. I am not saying that you are wrong with your conclusion but that with this forum, your audience which is large, wouldnt it be better to make your discussions positive a use of the phenoma that has occurred in the past two plus years called the Tea Party.
Permalink Reply by James William Olmes Rogers on January 16, 2011 at 7:29pm To Thomas King: I think you are in error! I believe the Tea Party is a forum for truth and strong discussion between Tea Party members. This open exchange of opinions helps build the strength we need to change the direction of the government of our nation. Liberals/progressives are monitoring our website and will continue to lie and distort every facet of our organization and our goals. It would be weakness to suggest our website cater to the liberals/progressives rather than continue our open exchanges, including our differences of opinion.
I am an Arizonian who stands proudly as an Independent, a conservative and a member of the Tea Party. In November's election I had to hold my nose as I cast my vote for John McCain for J. D. Hayworth had stained his own nest. With McCain's latest outburst of political stupidity I've concluded that he has fowled his own nest far more than did Hayworth. The senator has a distinguished military record, which I salute ~~ however his political record is one of dishonor!
Judson Phillips is correct in his assessment of John McCain ~~ and he is correct to share it with us here on our Tea Party website!!!
Right, Tom. Never tell these guys to shape up! Just send a letter One of his lackeys'll round file it.
Hurting the Tea Party by speaking out as loudly as possible? I don't think so! McCain's taken half a step to the right. Big deal. You can be meek if you want to. We've not advanced, and grown, by being silent.
But that's your right.

I agree with everything you said, except that I am in error, down to the it shows weakness. I just think that Judson Phillips has made himself a target from his leadership position for the alinsky treatment from the left. I know that he is aware of that and God bless him for his courage. I am not saying quit attacking what is wrong but choose your target well. Alinskiites will use virtually anything to create a false image and to create an impression that is totally false for people and things, ex. the constitution, references to God, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh etc. I enjoy reading the American thinker and townhall columnists and reading the numerous and well thought out responses and also the responses here on Tea Party Nation and there is a concensus in thinking Americans that, because of the tea party, us conservatives have more horsepower than anything that the left can throw at it. I think I would have felt better about the article if Mr. Phillips had published the letter as “this is a letter that I sent to John McCain” and let us readers comment on that. My comments are not an endorsement of McCain nor a call for Judson to stop but just to pause and ask does this article help or create a negative for the alinskiites to chew on. I know that they really don’t need much nor do they need truth to start their rant. Think about it this kind of communication is our strength. Thanks for your comments.

Permalink Reply by Jim R on January 17, 2011 at 8:26am …Always the Ayn Rand quote to emphasize the ethical egoism position that a person ought to do what is in their own self-interest. What about the famous patriot Thomas Jefferson who debated the immorality of this philosophy…
“Self-interest, or rather self-love, or egoism, has been more plausibly substituted as the basis of morality. But I consider our relations with others as constituting the boundaries of morality. With ourselves, we stand on the ground of identity, not of relation, which last, requiring two subjects, excludes self-love confined to a single one. To ourselves, in strict language, we can owe no duties, obligation requiring also two parties. Self-love, therefore, is no part of morality. Indeed, it is exactly its counterpart.”

Permalink Reply by Daniel F. Meucci on January 16, 2011 at 7:19pm What mystery? McCain like all mainstream politicians know one thing...that is getting re-elected and like Obama
McCain knows when to back him or go against him...depending on the political winds...Obama has the wind
to his back because of the tragic situation in AZ...which he has used to further his ratings in the Polls...McCain
just wants to hang on to his coat tails to get a little bit of a "free ride" too!
John McCain is a fake...yes he did spend a lot of time as a prisoner of war during the Viet Nam War but his
political life and personal life after his captivity looks like any other " limonsine liberal ". His wife's personal
wealth exceeds $100 million dollars...how can he possible understand the problems of the average Americans
with that type of wealth at his disposal?
John McCain is just another RHINO in a long line of RHINO who lacks common sense...and wants to pander
to the latino vote to continue his soft senate seat...MCCain thanks for your Military Service but now its time
to retire to the gold ranch in AZ and let real conservatives take your seat in the Senate.

When John campaigns in Arizona, he straps on his six guns, puts on his cowboy boots, and
becomes on tough hombre! Once he deceives the Republicans of Arizona one more time, and
once he gets on that plane back to D.C., he puts the pistols and boots away and puts on his(?)
high heels, skirt, pantie hose, and eye shadow . . . just like in the good old days! (No insult to
women intended. I love 'em!)
