RINO Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, who is in a very tight primary race with Tea Party conservative Ted Cruz, got backhanded today by some members of the GOP establishment over his attacks against Ted Cruz. Cruz is being attacked for opposing amnesty and being a free market Republican.
Go figure.
George P. Bush, grandson of the former President and a card carrying member of the GOP establishment blasted Dewhurst today. Bush said:
"It's very disappointing to see David Dewhurst resort to blatantly false attack ads charging that Ted Cruz supports amnesty. Ted has always categorically opposed amnesty. The only basis for Dewhurst's fraudulent claim is that Ted serves on the 'advisory board' of a Hispanic civic organization that seeks to empower Hispanics economically by promoting entrepreneurship.
"When I first heard this false attack ad, I was offended not only as a Hispanic but as a Republican. We are a party of inclusion that welcomes the fastest growing demographic in our State that largely shares our conservative values of limited government, strengthening the family and supporting small business. This is the type of divisive racial politics used by President Obama and the Democrats. It has no place in the Republican party."
If the stakes were not so serious, people could be laughing at Dewhurst. He accused Ted Cruz of being soft on illegal immigration. Yet, Cruz went to the Supreme Court and won a case that allowed Texas to execute an illegal alien who had raped and murdered two Texas girls. Dewhurst supported sanctuary cities.
Hmm, I wonder who is the softie on illegal immigration.
When a candidate like David Dewhurst has to drop to Obama like tactics to win the primary, he is not someone Texas nor America wants in the United States Senate.
Act today to help Ted Cruz. His website is Tedcruz.org. Donate and volunteer. Even though we are only four days ahead of the election, you can still make a difference.
Let’s put a real conservative into the United States Senate from Texas and not someone who has more in common with Barack Obama than he does with real Americans.

Permalink Reply by USARogue on May 25, 2012 at 9:08pm Remember, my fellow TEA Party bretheren, Liberalism, Progressivism and RINOism is what is bringing our Republic to its knees. All 3 of these MUST be eliminated. Now, they have had nearly a century head start on us, it will take many election cycles and deprogramming of an obtunded electorate to overcome this. We made an impact in 2010 that shocked the Establishments on both sides of the aisle. Our goal must be uninterrupted and resolute. Our Founders and Framers demand it, but more importantly our children demand it.
I totally agree; We must also hit our Senators with an absolute avalanche of emails and petitions to Stop the Senate from voting for at least five UN Treaties, one of which is the Land and Sea Treaty a one other has to do with UN Mandated gun control. WE MUST ACT AGAINST THIS NOW. I hope Judson gets something going on this issue.
Permalink Reply by jdubya57 on May 25, 2012 at 9:41pm Cruz sells himself as a fighter for the Constitution, yet when I asked him if he would fight to bring Obama the usurping fraud to justice, he said no. So I voted for the man who said he would, Glenn Addison.
Well, maybe it's time to drop the Ego and vote for the Republic that you live in.

Cruz HAS fought for the Constitution! Your question regarding the Fraud was wasted. Cruz knows the Democrats phalanx against such investigations! LOOK AT HOW THEY'VE COVERED/OBSCURED/IGNORED/DEFLECTED/AND LIED ABOUT FAST AND FURIOUS!
Cruz performed honorably in case after case on our behalf.
Dewhurst shut down the vote against TSA groping while it was being taken! He protected Sanctuary Cities, in-state tuition for illegals, and wanted to tax EMPLOYERS a percentage of their PAYROLLS [effectively, an Income Tax under a twisted title].
Obama will be brought to justice by the electorate, or Justice will leave US. Cruz knows that, and smartly avoided the crap pile you dropped in his way. Addison has no chance at winning, so your vote was a message-vote.
Between Cruz and Dewy, which one is most likely to A) notice, and B) give a damn?
Permalink Reply by Lady Di on May 26, 2012 at 6:56am Glenn Addison caught my eye early on . . . however, IMO the possibility of Addison being elected as Texas next U.S. Senator are . . . slim to none. Apparently most Texas voters feel the same way. I believe the lastest poll early this week Addison was in the 2% "Other" category. It is votes for these Other candidates who have no realistic possibility of winning that just may hand Dewhurst an over 50% win next Tuesday . . . thereby avoiding a run-off. Conservatives should vote their "convictions" . . . however, need to be realistic . . . Let's don't blow it.

Permalink Reply by jalina susan stutte on May 27, 2012 at 10:20am Dewhurst is a RINO. He worked with redistricting to get the Tea party people that were elected last election out. He is for sacuarty cities, tution for illegals, and thats enough for me to vote Cruz...which I DID!
Permalink Reply by Ken on May 27, 2012 at 4:10pm I have never really cared for dewhurst. The only reason he got vote was because he was either part of a Republican ticket or he was the Republican running against a demorat. This type of politicing is right in the demorat play book. Throw the bum out!
