All good things come to an end. We are now seeing the end of something. No, it is not 2011, even though the year only has two more days left.
What are we seeing the end of?
We are seeing the end of Michele Bachmann’s hopes for the White House.
We all knew Bachmann’s campaign was on life support, praying desperately for a Hail Mary in Iowa that would keep her campaign alive.
Instead, in the last 48 hours, her campaign has flat lined in a very public manner.
Citizens working for America, a Super Pac that was going to support Bachmann suddenly switched and decided it was going to support Romney. Then, if that was not bad enough, yesterday Bachmann’s Iowa co-chair Kent Sorenson appeared at a Bachmann rally in the afternoon, then three hours later was at an event endorsing Ron Paul.
Sorenson’s actions were those of the lowest form of politician. The Bachmann campaign claimed Sorenson told them that the Paul campaign had paid him a lot of money to defect. While that sounds implausible, nothing with the Ron Paul campaign would surprise me. A more likely scenario is that Sorenson realizes Bachmann is finished. He has almost certainly seen internal polling, which probably has told him the only thing left for the Bachmann campaign to do is to schedule the press conference where she drops out.
One thing that is certain is that Ron Paul’s organization will not be dismantled after this election and will certainly go to Rand Paul at some point. Sorenson will seek reelection in Iowa and Bachmann’s organization will not be there to help him. Paul’s organization would be.
As previously said, he is the lowest form of politician, selling his political soul for someone who can help his reelection. We can only hope that the people of Iowa will remember this and kick him to the curb any time his name shows up on a ballot.
For Michele Bachmann, it is the end of the road.
There is one thing she could do.
She can ride this all the way to the bitter end on Tuesday and schedule her press conference for Wednesday or she can act now.
Michele Bachmann needs to find the best conservative she agrees with, endorse them no later than this weekend and ask her supporters to vote for that candidate instead.
I hope she would support Newt Gingrich, as I believe he is the best conservative in the race. There is still Rick Perry and Rick Santorum.
We conservatives must stop Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. Period.
While the chances of Ron Paul actually winning the nomination remain slim, we must remember one of the great truisms of life. It is not the chances of an event occurring, it is the consequences of the occurrence.
If either Ron Paul or Mitt Romney wins the nomination, the game is over. Obama will have a second term. A second Obama terms will mean national bankruptcy. It will mean that in 2016, America will look like Greece. It means Obama will get at least one more Supreme Court pick and if he gets to replace one of the conservative members of the court, our constitution will be shredded.
Michele, your dreams of the Presidency are over. You can still do one thing to help the Tea Party and the conservative movement. Endorse a conservative before the caucuses on Tuesday and help us defeat Ron Paul and Mitt Romney.

Permalink Reply by Judson Phillips on January 1, 2012 at 8:54pm You only have to declare which primary you want to vote in. You can decide when you hit the registration table.
Permalink Reply by Darlene Black on January 3, 2012 at 5:13pm I'm in Blount County and they asked me which party so I am a registered Republican. I guess I could vote for someone else if I wanted to but I was asked which I was and they registered me as a Republican.

"....Iowa picks corn, not presidents....."

Permalink Reply by Dennis L on December 30, 2011 at 8:04am Michelle Bachmann is a good conservative and a person with integrity. It's a pity that her campaign hasn't taken hold as she has taken positions that stand for American values. I do not believe that she will exit just yet but I could be wrong.
According to todays poll, Newt Gingrich is running fifth in the Iowa poll but Rick Santorum is moving up. Everything still points to a Romney win in Iowa so chalk up another one to the Washington Republican establishment. Even politicans that enjoyed strong Tea Party support like Niki Haley have endorsed Romney. Go figure! The two faced establishment favorite is on his way.
Ron Paul with his America first message does resonate with more of the electorate than Judson gives credit for. Why? Maybe people are tired of an out of control government that spends Trillions of the taxpayers money on needless wars? I am a hawk when it comes to defending America , defending our borders and keeping us safe from a foreign invasion but I will be dammed if I or anyone in my family will die on foreign soil for the Globalists, World Bankers, Wall Street Financiers and monopoly Corporatists.. For anyone who loves war on foreign lands, ask yourself are you prepared to go there and fight? Iraq has already fallen back into chaos. Have we "won" in Afghanistan? if so what did we win?
I guess then all of our heroes who died on foreign lands, must have died in vain. Your ideology is very myopic.
We can recoup our economy, even without RP's economic policies, but what good is it if, we will become slaves to Islam? Anyone who states so flippantly as Paul did that " who cares whether Iran has nukes" is very dangerous for American security.
You can't be a hawk in defending America, because not all battles happen on our land unless you want them to come here so you can fight them here. That's nuts! I'd rather fight for freedom on the enemy's territory.
We can't win wars or battles anymore, thanks to the progressive liberal mind-set. When a leader puts the idiotic restrictions on our soldiers and generals as the last three presidents have, there's no chance of victory. Why, because in the backs of their minds they are still more concerned about their oil. Yet, they won't drill at home.
The simple answer is that they, personally make all the money and stash it away for themselves. Since man was created, it's always been, "money talks, BS walks."
The sooner you get it, the more the blame will be placed where it belongs.
