The left likes to call it the “birther” issue. The term birther is used as a derisive term by the left, much as truther is. Of course the difference is truthers beliefs are based on a paranoid ideology, where as the birther issue is based on facts.
I prefer to call it the eligibility issue, not the birther issue. Whether you agree or not, the people who are pushing the eligibility issue are on our side. It is certainly counter-productive to deride them like liberals do.
Recently a whole stream of Republicans have come out, at the prompting of the drive by media, to reassure us that Obama is a citizen and oh, yes, he is a Christian too.
Last Sunday, at the prodding of David Gregory on Meet the Press, or as Rush likes to call it, Meet the depressed, Boehner said, the State of Hawaii had said he was born there, that was good enough for him.
Karl Rove, not a friend of the Tea Party, pushed the RINO line that Obama is a citizen and Sarah Palin, at a meeting in Long Island, a few days ago, also denounced the eligibility issue. Palin ended her remarks on the subject by saying, “let’s stick with what really matters.”
This issue does matter.
There are three variations on the eligibility issue. Two are based on undisputed facts. The third is in dispute.
The most commonly reported of the eligibility challenges is the claim that Obama was actually born in Kenya, not Hawaii. I believe, based on the available evidence, that it is more likely than not, Obama was actually born in Hawaii. Obama has spent a lot of time and (other people’s) money, keeping his original birth certificate out of sight.
Why?
Jack Cashill is one of my favorite writers and he has a theory which I think makes sense, that Obama was in fact born in Hawaii, but there is something else on his birth certificate that would destroy the myth of Barack Obama. (See his website, Cashill.com). In the law, there is a presumption that if a party has exclusive access to a piece of evidence and will not release it, the evidence must be adverse to their position.
The second eligibility issue is the claim that because Barack Obama’s father was a Kenyan, a British subject at the time of Obama’s birth, he is not a natural born citizen.
The third is the argument that because Barack Obama was adopted as a child by an Indonesian and moved to Indonesia, he is not an American citizen. Under the law at that time, if an American child was adopted by a citizen of another country and moved to that country, he lost his citizenship. He could regain his citizenship by applying at an American Embassy when he was 18, but would then be treated as a naturalized citizen and thus ineligible to be President.
What is stunning about all of this is the mainstream Republican reaction to the eligibility issues.
The RINOs turn their noses up at the people who want the answers, which, incidentally is 60% of Republican voters. They turn their noses up at the Tea Party movement. Yet, they do not take a moment to consider why this is important.
If Barack Obama is proved to be ineligible to be President, everything he has done is wiped out. Obamacare is gone. The START treaty is gone. The liberal lunatics Obama has appointed to the Federal Judiciary, including the two he has put on the Supreme Court are gone.
Much of the damage Obama has done to this country can be undone. Unfortunately, the Country Club Republicans remain clueless. In their minds, the Democrats are simply the lower class versions of themselves. They do not understand that if the party of treason has its way, America will be forever changed and ultimately destroyed.
The Courts have so far brushed aside all of the eligibility claims. None have been addressed on the merits under the claim that Americans lack standing to challenge the issue. Recently, the Supreme Court has given some indication it may consider one of the issues. We can only hope.
What are the chances of success? Who knows?
Why do football teams run the flea flicker play? It does not work all of the time, but when it does, the results are spectacular. Why should conservatives all hope this works out? Because this wipes out almost everything the Obama regime has done. We get a do over.
You would think, even the RINOs who want to denigrate the eligibility issue could figure this one out.

I just love watching this wipe the smug smiles off the faces of GOP and Dumbocrat elite who were laughing up their sleeves at The Donald a week ago. The tide has gone out and it is they who were swimming naked, with their weak, corrupt acts revealed and compared to Trump. He is no great bargain, but his strength and courage makes the rest of the field look pathetic and will force them to address the real issues: Taxes, spending, trade, foreign policy, energy, economy and yes, I'll say it-- a possibly illegal President.
Best case is that he's just doing this to wipe out Obama and will go back to fleecing people out of their money for gambloing and booze again afterward. If the other candidates don't get their acts together, they DESERVE to lose to this guy.

Received this from Orly Tuesday-- make it go VIRAL! She is under constant attack, which means that the opposition is getting quite worried about two of her cases. With the heightened visibility due to The Donald eligibility rampage, the LTC Terry Lakin outrage, Rush Limbaugh "birther" baptism, stunning media interviews, things are reaching a fever pitch.
Orly really needs a good cybersecurity expert and mirror sites.

If we let them they will take America Down! They have already had a big influence on this Administration on the backs of their hard working members in the form of what I call pay offs, Aka bribes. Who's kidding who every where there is a Democrat at a podium demonizing the Tea Party movement there is Richard Trumpka.

Permalink Reply by Roland C. Cartier Jr on April 13, 2011 at 3:02pm Tom, Did you catch the Presidents budget for 2012 is he kiddin' or jivin' us.
1st step Invest in guess what again "Clean Energy" Education and job creation.
2nd step Find cuts guess what "DOD"
3rd step Further reduce Health care costs by erroneous pmts, fraud etc. Reduce wasteful subsidies.
4th Reform Tax Code to make it fair and simple Says that Foreign Aid cuts would only amount to 1% of Deficit.
Here are my suggestions going by his platform: 1st point Lift the moratorium on drilling and stop chocking the Gas and Coal industry we should create jobs at a fast pace.
2nd point Find cuts in DOD bureaucracy like the GOA report states as well as being top heavy with to many Chiefs and not enough Indians to actually perform jobs.
3rd point Repeal "Obama Care" and actually reform our health care industry to maximize teir potential to lower costs.
4th point Reform tax code by instituting a Flat Tax or Fair Tax making it easier to file as well as everyone having skin in the game.
5th point by cutting Foreign Aid this year with a new bill introduced right away would save an additional 1% to what the Congress and Senate agreed to hopefully.
Wasteful subsidies lets start with the research on stupid ideas like Apes on Crack, Fine Arts,I'm sure there is more to look into right?
What do think Tom????
Permalink Reply by tom dodd on April 13, 2011 at 5:11pm …hi, Roland! I only caught about 10-minutes of o’s speech while listening to Rush while running some errands… I intend to read the transcript later tonight, maybe while my favorite baseball team is playing their 100-year rivals… the beginnings of his speech, though, was pure snake oil salesman stuff, and basically untrue, since it wasn’t/isn’t socialism and big government that made America great… BUT based on what you’ve written, and what little I heard:
FIRST STEP… this clean energy stuff that o wants is gonna run all of us into the ground… non of what he wants is even close to being competitive, ‘cept nuc power, for at least 20-years, probably longer. In order for green-energy to be competitive, gas has to cost $8/gallon… since our economy is based on cheap energy, $8/g gas just isn’t gonna work. I agree with you, Roland, let’s start drillin’ our own oil, onshore and off, and begin taking a long and strong look at all of the “oil shale” and “oil sand” in the Midwest that we keep hearing so much about… I know, all the greenies keep telling us that extracting it isn’t environmentally safe, but since those folks now want to give bugs the same rights as man, what little respect I had for ‘em is now gone, as in a puff of carbon smoke!
I’ve watched a couple of tv shows, and read a couple of articles, about and by a man named Ray Kurzweil… by any definition, he’s a genius, and he’s been intimately involved in the human genome project, life extension research, artificial intelligence, and is definitely a visionary and futurist. One of the shows he was a part of, was dealing with solar power… in it, he states that solar power has been doubling it’s percentage of the U.S. energy needs every year for the past 20 years, and last year it reached 1%... if it continues, he says, at its present rate, without any additional government effort other than what was being done before obama was elected, in about 20 years from now, around 2030, it will not only be economical, it will be a viable source of energy until the problems with cold fusion are solved. As Mr. Kurzweil pointed out, and I agree, with the present level of government grants to colleges and universities, we’ll “get” the green energy everyone wants, but it’s ludicrous to bust the economy of America to get there, when “there” is only a couple of decades away.
I’m all in favor of cutting a lot of the red tape, and build at least 2 new nuc power plants in every state, and start firin’ up coal driven electric plants! No, I’m not kiddin’. BUT I would also like to see every new house and building be built with solar power, mandatory, and for 500% tax deductions for older houses to be equipped with solar power [500% one time deduction, or 100% 5 times].
SECOND STEP… any significant cuts to Defense in the present worldwide political atmosphere, is the height of stupidity!! However, it may be time to rework the ratio of Chiefs to Indians, something I’ve seen the military do before, twice while I was in service. Also, the procurement process needs to be looked at, because I think it is absolutely “wrong” for foreign countries to be building our military weapons; those programs should always be made-in-America.
There are approximately 1.5 billion Muslims in the world. I’ve repeatedly heard that we only have to worry about the “radicals” within that group, but I’ve also repeatedly heard that only about 10% are radicals… that means there are 150,000,000 people outside and inside our country, that want nothing less than to slit each of throats, and would rejoice while doing so!
Then there are the Chinese and Russians who definitely are not our friends. This is NOT the time to be making serious cuts in our defense budget.
THIRD STEP… I agree that we need a full audit of Medicare and Medicaid to remove the rampant fraud. I have two sisters who are in the medical field, and they say they cannot afford to have medicare patients. Perhaps if we increased the payoff a bit, it would reduce the double filing and other methods of fraud. Regardless, those who are involved in fraud need to go to jail…
And yes, obamacare needs to be repealed!! No question about that. I like the ideas the R’s put forth, about allowing medical insurance companies to compete across state lines, about letting patients compare prices across state lines, tort reform that limits medical malpractice, and forces the loser in a court case to pay the winners’ court costs… there were several other possible solutions the R’s put forth a year or so ago, but I’m getting’ old and they presently elude my ability to recall ‘em.
Pre-existing conditions is a real problem. I think this issue should be handled like one does with home insurance. A pre-existing condition would be like getting flood, or hurricane, or earthquake, or tornado coverage… you have your “basic” coverage, but those other, pre-existing issues, it will cost extra. It’s a pretty simple solution, really…
However, the #1 reason for the high costs of health care are directly due to illegal immigration. We’re not going to get a handle on the problem, until we stop giving medical care away, free of charge, to 30 million people who are here illegally!
You’re probably wondering where I came up with the 30 million figure. Well, in 2000, both the R’s and D’s readily agreed that there were 8-10 million illegals in the country. Since they both READILY agreed on that number, with no way of really counting them, I figure there were significantly more. In 2004, both sides agreed there were 12 million. In 2008, that 12 million number was used again. Last year, I heard 20 million being used, with no one saying it was less… which leads me to believe there are many, many more infesting our country… if you question this number, fine, but just look around your area, and everywhere you glance, there they are! In every state, using the Emergency Room for standard medical care, drawing unemployment, social security, and welfare, driving on our roads with training in how we drive or knowledge of our rules… I don’t know how many of you are aware, but both the R’s and D’s amnesty programs would have permitted our amnesty citizens to bring in their relatives who still lived outside our country! In the D’s plan, they could bring in grandma and every relative on the family tree in between… probably another 30 million! Can you imagine an additional 60 million citizens who absolutely no concept of how America works, except for the freebe’s??
STEP FOUR… we DO need to reform our tax code, because too many people don’t pay any taxes at all, and many of those who don’t pay get a tax credit that gives them a large refund!! I’m with you, Roland, we need a Flat Tax, or preferably some version of the Fair Tax, that taxes consumption instead of production… I like the Fair Tax, because even the illegals and general criminals will be paying! AND NO DEDUCTIONS.
Let’s cut Foreign Aid, and then do a thorough review of this program. I’m all in favor of helping Israel, but we need to take a close look, a critical look, at everyone else. If all this adds up to 1%, well, 1% is better than 0%.
In general, I’m against business subsidies… and I’m definitely against converting our food into ethanol. Not only is this more expensive than buying oil, ethanol doesn’t work in freezing weather, as the northern states’ found out last winter.
Well, I’m starting to ramble… so I’ll stop.
Permalink Reply by Roland C. Cartier Jr on April 13, 2011 at 5:37pm That's quite alright Tom as I spend time screaming at the t.v. because I feel like no one is listening to common sense anymore. I guess we concur on ideas a lot. But I should have guessed that as we both served our time right?
Well Now Look who is ramblin" me of course!
