The Democrats talking points and cause for concern


 

 

Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are already lining up their talking points in case there is a government shut down.  It is the Tea Party’s fault. 

 

According to US News and World Report, Reid said:

 

"I am extremely disappointed that after weeks of productive negotiations with Speaker Boehner, Tea Party Republicans are scrapping all the progress we have made and threatening to shut down the government if they do not get all of their extreme demands," Reid said in a statement Monday.

"The division between the Tea Party and mainstream Republicans is preventing us from reaching a responsible solution on a long-term budget,"

In the House, Steny Hoyer tossed his oar in, calling Tea Party freshmen congressmen, the “perfectionist caucus.”  Chuck Schumer has called for Boehner to dump the Tea Party and has even said that if Boehner wants an agreement, he is going to have to abandon the Tea Party and give up on all additional budget cuts. 

 

The Democrats have been on message on this one idea.  Get Boehner to abandon the Tea Party. 

 

This messaging has been pretty consistent for the last two weeks.  That is the alarming part.  The Democrats would be expected to blame the Republican and the Tea Party for a shut down.  The messaging for Boehner to abandon the Tea Party is much more alarming.

 

Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, and Steny Hoyer are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.  They are never going to set records for IQ’s.  They don’t need to. A shark is one of the dumbest animals in the ocean, yet it knows how to zero in on its prey and take it down.

 

The Democrats, like a shark, smell fear in the water.  They know Boehner does not want this fight.  If given the chance, Boehner will cave.  They know this.

 

This is of course, what they want.  If they can split the GOP and the Tea Party, any hope of fiscal discipline will collapse and spending will again go into overdrive. 

 

As Newsmax noted, Democrats are trying to exploit the split between Boehner and conservative congressmen. They hope the divide between the two sides will widen, noting that 54 Republicans defected from their leaders on the last stop-gap budget the House approved.

Will the Democrats be able to pressure Boehner to drop the Tea Party and split the GOP?  At this point who knows, but one thing is certain.  If this happens, the liberals’ Christmas will come in April.

So what if the government shuts down?  Military and social security/medicare payments will continue to be made.  During the 1995 shutdown I can vividly remember the tear jerking story of a snowmobile operator in Yellowstone Park who could not take tourists on rides.  For God's sake, who did that endanger or even inconvenience?

It amazes me that there are so many that cannot see the forrest for the trees!!!  Why would anyone want to do as the Dems want...they are taking this nation apart and are not patriots!!!  We have got to get Boehner to stand for,m and see what we can do with strength...this can never happen in this nation again that the government is headed in two different directions!  UNITED WE STAND AND DIVIDED WE FALL...SOO WHAT IS IT GOING TO BE?:     THE SOCIALISTS OR THE PATRIOTS?

I agree with you John, we just have to be sure that by creating a rift with the rep. Party that we do not dilute our representation to the point that we give a leg up to the dems and Obama in future elections. We could cut our nose to spite our face if we let our ego get the best of us, by giving the dems what they are hoping for. We are not big enough to outvote the dems on our own.

We do not want a shut down.  We want Congress to start acting like grown ups and realize we have reached our credit limit and need to cut spending.  If they won't do that, a shut down in plan b.

The Tea Party is what is saving this nation from destruction...the Dems are leftist socialists who want to rule over everything and they honestly think they should....which is against everything this nation was founded for...what fools!  Some truly cannot see the forrest for the trees and are waging a terrible plight on this naton with their evil and underhanded ways!  Reid needs to retire and get out of government; he is warped with un-Americanism and is a disgrace!  Boehner must stand for the right things, be strong and not let the left sway him!  Nothing is ever going to be easy, however to be just again--we MUST find some shread of trust in some of our government....this is a pretty poor commentary on the evil, corruption and waste to this Nation by our government on BOTH sides!  Those that are true patriots had better stand tall and speak up for the ship is sinking fast...the ship of America can only float so long!!!!!!!!   To now sink into grave degridation after all the strength of 235 years would be the end for all freedoms in the world....I FOR ONE AM NOT WILLING TO GIVE UP THE FIGHT...ARE YOU?!   LOCK AND LOAD AND LET'S GET THIS DONE....WHATEVER IT TAKES!!   GOD BLESS AMERICA FOR REAL..NOT THE RATTLINGS OF THOSE THAT SAY THIS BUT MEAN THE FURTHEREST FROM SUCH A BLESSING........

The Reids will not drop the Green environment because they own the land an building that the wind mills an photo cells are being put together an they are making gov money out of it... Also most likly Dirty Harry owns some of the land that they want to put the train to no whare on...Just like he owned land that the hover dam bridge had to be built on.. But he says he live on his money from the gov. Oh an his Condo in Washington is paid for an it was only an million...

The Republican may be fearful. We need to continue providing the drive to reclaim a constitutional government. This country will not survive if we fold. If they fold we will replace them!
