This one is too good to be true but it is true.

Richard Lugar, the crown prince of the RINOs and the poster child for voting out incumbents has been ruled ineligible to vote in his ‘home’ county in Indiana.  Lugar has been using the house he sold in 1977 as his voting address.

Oops.

From the IndyStar

The Election Board has voted 2-1 along party lines to find Sen. Richard Lugar, a Republican, and his wife ineligible to vote in their former home precinct. The two Democrats found that the Lugars abandoned that residence, according to Indiana law, and no longer reside there.

Lugar’s camp says it will appeal the decision because it disagrees with the board’s “political” action based on what it contends was a faulty analysis of the law.

According to Election Board attorneys, there would be an easy fix — the Lugars could submit new voter registration forms that list a physical address in any Indiana county with which they currently have a connection. That could be a family member’s home or, possibly, the Lugar family farm. There is no house on that farm, but it may satisfy the requirement.

The GOP board member, Patrick J. Dietrick, said after today’s vote that the other members “utterly failed to consider the circumstances of this alleged violation of election law.” Today Clerk Beth White’s motion said there was no evidence that the Lugars knowingly violated residency requirements in voting previously in their Wayne Township precinct. “I do not relish the task before us,” White said, and she called the decision difficult.

A statement issued by Lugar spokesman Andy Fisher says: “Since Senator Lugar took office, he and Mrs. Lugar have scrupulously complied with Indiana law, which preserves the residency of Hoosiers serving their state and country outside of Indiana. The Lugars have also sought and followed the express direction of every legitimate government authority to have addressed the question. It is an outrage that Indiana Democrats and Treasurer (Richard) Mourdock’s camp are happy to waste taxpayer money in tying up the courts. They apparently don’t see any path to victory at the ballot box, so they keep maneuvering in hopes they can avoid competing head-on with Senator Lugar.”

Mourdock is Lugar’s opponent in the May Republican primary. Outside the Election Board’s hearing room this afternoon, Gregory Wright, who brought the complaint against Lugar and his wife, said he’s an active Republican and has no political motivation other than to ensure Indiana doesn’t have an absentee senator. He said he hadn’t decided how he would vote in May.

Lugar no longer lives in Indiana.  He has become a career politician in Washington who has not lived in Indiana since he was first elected in 1977.

The board may have voted along party lines, but this does not mean the board was not right.

Lugar has been described as Obama’s favorite Republican.  He is a RINO who has been best known for his practice of crossing the aisle to help Democrats achieve their goals.

The good news is there is a good conservative in the race.  He is Richard Mourdock and we have featured him on TPN before.  He is a conservative you need to know about and need to support.  Richard has a lot of Tea Party support, not only from inside Indiana but from national groups such as TPN and Tea Party Express.

If you have not done so, check out his website.    See what you can do to help send a RINO into retirement!

he has not lived in Indiana the state he supposedly represents for 35 years? let him run for mayor of Washington d.c. where he spends all his time. come on Indiana.

Lugar is just another Obastish bootlicker. Who cares where he lives. he will soon be yesterdays news. If he isn't a registered voter in his "home" state, doesn't that make it illegal to represent that state? If so how come nobody has bounced his RINO behind out of the Senate yet? Oh thats right his head is stuck in Harry Reids butt.

LOL.

Me too, Debrajoe, me too!!!

The board was wrong. It should have been 3-0 in favor of ineligibility. One of the reasons I left the republican party. Too much politics and not enough looking out for us.

This is so pathetic, and, so indicative of the non thinking unAmerican fools that are allowed to vote.  Remember, folks...YOU GET WHAT YOU VOTE FOR.....EVER HEARD OF VETTING YOUR SLOBS OF CRITTERS???????????????????

I am confused -- if he cannot vote in his district how is he eligible to run to represent it?

Good question.

Great point!.  If he has no legal residence in that district, that would make him ineligible to represent that district.  Either that or I am missing something.  But then again, RINO's are demon-rats and, therefore, do not have to adhere to the law.

This guy Lugar took the word RINO to the next level.  His voting record on matters of constitutional significance was despicable. Why he choose to be a Republican was probably only for self serving interests. What a P.O.S. !

this is an outrage and there should be sanctions.

I am the founder and coordinator of the Tea Party in Cass County IN. We have been trying to get Mourdock elected but Lugar has so much more money to run his half true or even outright lies as TV commercials. We are tired of Lugar and will fight hard to the end to get Mourdock elected.
