The coming battles

The great battle of our lifetimes is beginning.   The opening shots were fired in the last couple of weeks.  The battle is the battle of 2012.  It is the final battle between socialism and liberty.   Either liberty wins in 2012 and we dismantle socialism or we do not.  In that case, everything that the Obama/Pelosi/Reid axis of fiscal evil has put in place will remain and America will start the death spiral that will end with us, as Ronald Reagan once said, “telling our grandchildren what it was like to grow up in a free and prosperous America.”

The first shots of this war began with the lunatic ravings of the Congressional Black Caucus.   They started out by declaring us to be the enemy, telling us we could go straight to hell, and then racheted up the rhetoric to say we wanted to lynch black people. 

Howard Fineman on MSNBC said the Democrats’ strategy would be “down and dirty.”  

The media attempt to win the battle for the left is well underway.  The Daily Beast/Newsweek has gone into paranoia overload claiming there is a plot for a “Christian Taliban” segment called “Christian Dominionists” is gathering a secret army led by Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann to take over the government. 

Few of us imagined that someone who actually championed such ideas would have a shot at the White House. It turns out we weren’t paranoid enough. If Bush eroded the separation of church and state, the GOP is now poised to nominate someone who will mount an all-out assault on it. We need to take their beliefs seriously, because they certainly do.

Few of us imagined the level of absolute paranoia in the New York media circles.   In the minds of the New York media elites, anyone who goes to a church that does not worship at the altar of socialism is a Taliban in training.  The left is going to be painting anyone to the right of Karl Marx as the next coming of Hitler.  Oh wait, Hitler was a socialist.  They will have to settle for calling conservatives the next coming of Osama Bin Laden.

The New York Times jumped into the fray as well.  It started an article about the candidates’ religion with the following:

If a candidate for president said he believed that space aliens dwell among us, would that affect your willingness to vote for him? Personally, I might not disqualify him out of hand; one out of three Americans believe we have had Visitors and, hey, who knows? But I would certainly want to ask a few questions. Like, where does he get his information? Does he talk to the aliens? Do they have an economic plan? 

In the minds of the editors of the New York Times, a traditional Christian belief is on par with belief that aliens walk among us.  Well, aliens do walk among us.  Illegal aliens, but the Times loves them and hates conservatives.

The Times further goes on:

Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann are both affiliated with fervid subsets of evangelical Christianity — and Rick Santorum comes out of the most conservative wing of Catholicism — which has raised concerns about their respect for the separation of church and state, not to mention the separation of fact and fiction.

Of course, there are never concerns about a socialist’s religious views.  Can we question the morals of a candidate who embraces an ideology that has murdered or caused the deaths of about 250 million people in the last century?  Can we question a socialists’ commitment to the First Amendment’s protections for freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of the press?

If you ask real Americans, in other words, Americans who live outside of New York City and don’t subscribe to the New York Times, the beliefs of Bachmann and Perry are certainly closer to theirs than are the views of the editorial staff of the New York Times or Barack Obama.

The strategy for the left is to try and totally demonize conservatives, because this is their last chance.  Fortunately most Americans look at the people who write for the New York Times and want to tell them they really need to lay off the crack.

For real Americans, this is going to be the roughest political campaign we have ever seen.  For the left, they know if they lose this time, they will not see political power again for a generation, if not longer.  Real Americans have become motivated and we are pushing our government to restore freedom and move away from socialism. 

The battle of our modern age has begun.  It is the battle between socialism and liberty.

This is a battle liberty must win.
