Oh, you know it had to start. When someone in the political class has the least bit of opposition they start crying. When there is the actual possibility they might be voted out because, well maybe the voters are tired of that person, the whining goes into warp speed.
How dare those pesky voters dare challenge someone who has been in the Senate long enough that his Senate tenure is now old enough to run for President.
From Mediate:
Senator Orrin Hatch, the most senior Republican in the Senate, has a primary challenge, and he has “no respect” for the people responsible for this. Sen. Hatch joined Greta Van Susteren last night to discuss the potential, now realized, of a primary challenge against him, and Sen. Hatch had some nasty words for Freedomworks and its leader, Dick Armey.
“Freedomworks, the group of Dick Armey, is gunning for you,” Van Susteren informed Sen. Hatch, who seemed to mind only what he insisted were lies from the group. “They take a few dozen of my votes out of the better of 12,000 votes that I’ve cast, distort those votes and lie about them, direct lie about them.” He argued they were only trying to raise money. “They take someone like myself who everybody knows and they trash Orrin Hatch and they raise a lot of money from conservatives all over the country who think what they’re saying is true.” He concluded with a flourish, “they’re not people I have very much respect for. I don’t have any respect for them, in fact.”
Hatch claims he has Tea Party support. Really? Where? Hatch thinks Freedomworks is in it for the money. What is Hatch in it for? He is part of the problem in Washington.
Message to Orrin Hatch. It is not just FreedomWorks that is against you. It is real Tea Party Americans.
Orrin Hatch is whining because someone dares to run against him. Hatch thought that 18 years was too long for the Senator he replaced to be in Washington.
Hatch has been there twice as long. He needs to go home.

Permalink Reply by Ginny Marriott on April 21, 2012 at 9:11pm I wish there were a "LIKE" after each posted comment, so we could let someone know we agree with their comment without having to take up room posting it. I have deleted my Facebook account (don't trust google, gmail, or Facebook), so I do all my reading right here on TPN. I read all the posts and so often I would love to be able to give a "Like" as kudos to the one posting their comment about the blog. Judson, would you consider adding a "Like" after a comment so we can do that? We don't need an "Unlike". If we don't like a comment, we should either post a reply or keep it to ourselves. :-)

What's wrong with typing "LIKE" and letting it go at that?
