Trump is Gone.  Huckabee is Gone.  Gingrich has one foot out the door.   If they are stepping out of the race, voluntarily or otherwise, who is the person who is the big winner, who will step in and pick up their support?

The answer?  The big winner is, Michele Bachmann.

Huckabee’s major support came from social conservatives.  Huckabee had the great, “Baptist preacher” approach.  His down home charisma made people like him and he was right on most of the social issues.

Most of those people are now going to gravitate towards Bachmann, who shares those beliefs.

Of the people Trump had energized, a significant number of them will also go to Bachmann.  Donald Trump had the celebrity firepower to bring the eligibility issue to the public consciousness.  He created quite a stir at Tea Party events.   Michele Bachmann was at Tea Party events before Trump and though briefly overshadowed by Trump’s flash, she has been there consistently.

With Trump and Huckabee out, sources have told Fox News that it is now very likely that Michele Bachmann will enter the Presidential race.   For conservatives that is great news.  Michele Bachman is intelligent, charming and has an incredible ability to stay on message, something most of the rest of the GOP field cannot do.

Michele Bachmann is not the only person who will benefit from the exits of Trump and Huckabee and the implosion of Gingrich.  Herman Cain is going to pick up some support too.

The left has had their long knives out for Bachmann for a while.  Yesterday, they attacked her for “earmarks and subsidies.”    Some conservatives are falling for that trap.   The trap is listening to the left when they insist that our candidates be perfect.  No candidate is perfect.  This is especially true for conservative candidates when it is the left that tries to define perfection.

The battle we face in the next few months is to get a conservative nominated as the GOP nominee.

The other big winner from yesterday was Mitt Romney, who announced he had just raised over $10 million dollars in a single day.   In a race where Obama is expected to have over $1 billion in campaign funds from all kinds of sources, $10 million isn’t much. However, in a primary like this, at this stage, it is huge and shows just how much support Romney has out there among the GOP establishment.

While we conservatives scream about the RINOs, we do need to remember, there is a Republican establishment.  They are not just some boogieman we trot out to rant and rail about.  The RINO Republican establishment exists. It has infrastructure, money, resources and a desire to make sure their candidate wins.

The crowd of candidates and potential candidates has begun to thin.  The good news for us is there are only a few conservative candidates worth talking about.  The better news is, if there are fewer conservatives than establishment candidates, the RINOs may split the vote, allowing a conservative to win the nomination.

As we push into this summer, we need to stay on message for our base.  We need to make sure that we have a conservative candidate out there who can win and who is committed to dismantling socialism, instead of just coming into the White House and managing it.

If Governor Perry from Texas throws his hat in, the top three become Perry, Palin (if she enters), Bachman, and then Cain.  That leaves Ron Paul kinda low on the totum pole.  Why wast the time and money if the right candidate throws in their Hat.  Please note I left off the LIzzARd, bumped the Trump, and threw Mitt a curve ball (All no).

The other stragglers could offer plenty as 2nd Runner Ups, VPs, AGOs, and Planning Staff to rid the Government of Obama self imposed ills (Czars, Cars, W'ars, S'haris).

We need good people on the cleanup crew.

There is no way Bachmann could ever get elected - read my lips - SHE IS NOT ELECTABLE!

The opposition will turn her into the finest ground beeft the world has ever seen, especially after they practiced on Palin.  At least Palin had the brain, guts, and swiftness to put up an opposition and fight back.  Bachmann is not equpped with any of these traits and the black muslim is already using every teleprompter in the nation. And when it comes to Perry the nation will flat out say no more F-ing Governors from Texas, period!  STOP DREAM, PINCH THE S*** OUT OF YOURSELF AND SEE IF YOU CAN WAKE UP IN THE REAL WORLD!

Dean-Ross.

Sometimes I through out an opinion to get people out of the box.  This time, I threw out an Opinion on limited knowledge.

The post since yesterday 14 Hours ago are exceedingly informative on Governors from Texas.

It does look like a short quibble to push a though pinched a lot of people normally boxed in.

Bachman is not electable. Hummmmm! I remember them saying that about someone else. His name was Ronald Reagan. Ah! I remember it well. He was the guy that made me a Republican. I'm still behind Sarah though. Run Sarah! RUN!
CFR put their money where it counts.
Myke that or the Rinos, the money boys, want Romney
Bachmann/Palin is probably the answer to our problems... I am not able to see into a crystal ball but I think and believe this is the best thing we can have.    We need no join together and make a decision and all support the same person so that we can defeat the ignorant system that we have dumfoundedly gotten into.  Lets join for someone....... I like the idea of Micelle Bachmann and Sara Palin...
