In the old Star Trek Movie, “The Wrath of Khan,” Starfleet officers are faced with what is called the no-win scenario. We are five and a half months away from the election that will send Barack Obama packing.
But are we looking at a no-win scenario?
It could be a no win scenario.
Here’s how it could play out.
What if Barack Obama wins the popular vote but loses the Electoral College vote. This is entirely possible.
Between huge numbers of dead people voting in places like Chicago and California and a number of blue states going overwhelming for Obama, it is entirely possible Obama could win the popular vote by a significant margin.
Yet, enough states could go for Romney to give him the win.
What would happen?
We have seen this before. In 2000, the election results were tied up in Florida for weeks. Finally, the Supreme Court stepped in and stopped the efforts of the Democrats to steal the election.
When the Supreme Court ruled in Bush v. Gore, Al Gore conceded.
What would Barack Obama do?
Does anyone believe that being the narcissist that he is, he would simply cede the election? Obama ignores the Constitution anyway, so would it surprise anyone if he demanded to be sworn in for a second term based on winning the popular vote?
How would the nation react to this?
Would the blue states demand Obama while the red states demand the constitution be followed? What would happen after that? Would we see a civil war or a break up of the United States, as we know it?
For years, a Russian social scientist has been predicting the breakup of the United States. He most recently predicted it would come in 2010. His prediction of where the United States would split showed a lack of understanding of this nation but the factors he cited were pretty much on target.
In this election, like no other election, we fight for the heart and soul of America. If Barack Obama wins the popular vote and Mitt Romney wins the Electoral College, there will be huge pressures placed on this nation to ignore the Constitution, rewrite the Constitution or break the nation up.
The only way to prevent that is for America to thoroughly defeat Barack Obama. That means we have make sure that we get every real American to the polls to vote against Obama.
Yes, this does mean voting for Mitt Romney. As appalling as that is, it is the only way to stop Obama from a second term.
It may be the only way to save America as one nation, indivisible.
What in the first 3/4 of his career makes you think he will do the right thing for our country? When in his life has he done anything that shows he has to courage to rock the boat and do the right thing?
He took charge of the Olympics one year, which was floundering, and turned it into a winning and profitable enterprise.
Most Olympics end up costing the host more money than they make.
I had been thinking about the possibility of the exact opposite scenario, with Mitt Romney winning the popular vote, but, by hook or crook, Obama managing to win the electoral college votes - Barak will win DC with 3 electoral votes, DE, CN, RI, VT, & quite likely could win Maine, NH, NV, OR, Iowa, ND. Romney may narrowly take a few big states such as OH, FL, MI, TX (Hispanics could give Obama a good showing in TX), possibly VA. But now that I count it up, your scenario is probably more likely.
Have courage -- it's not over till it's over!
Few thought that Gen. Washington's ragtag militia could defeat Gen. Cornwallis' mighty British army, but they did!
And then our forfathers created a unique, free natiion -- the United States of America!
Here is some encouraging news --
Careful...people who promise to release shocking information at some later date have a mysterious habit of dying.
I am not sure why he doesn't just go after Obama on the Natural Born Citizen issue. He is not a Natural Born Citizen by his own omission. But I hope they do obtain proof and can spread it before they die of, say, uh, a heart attack.
An even more scary scenario will play out this election, because many states have signed up for the Compact, whereby they will allocate their Electoral Votes based on the outcome of the Popular Vote in the whole nation.
In other words, they have found a way to circumvent the Constitutional requirement for the Electoral College, without going through the long process of amending the Constitution.
There is no end to the tricks which Liberals will use to get their own way, and turn the election into a popularity contest, so that the people who benefit from all the freebies can get even more free stuff can by voting in the Party which buys their votes with free stuff.
John, it seems as though everything is so perverted that the election itself has become nothing more than an exercise in sound and fury to distract us from what's really going on. In Obama's mind the outcome is a done deal anyway and any so-called campaigning he does is merely window dressing. The real scenario is the behind-the-scenes skullduggery working toward making it look like he "won" the election, an illusion conjured up to appease the masses. Ironically, it would appear he prefers to take us over without open warfare. Hooray for peace!
Forgive me, feeling a little sardonic here.
Actually, I have approached this disaster the same way from the beginning. Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck could be the Republicrat candidates. Irrelevant. November 6 2012, my vote will not be cast FOR anyone...it will be cast AGAINST king Barry. THAT is how America will take out the trash. After the election however, methinks the Republicrat established go-along-to-get-alongers are going to find that we are onto their games and some significant changes may be coming down the pike for Congress over the next few election cycles.
When is the last time a Republican has won based on our guys stinks bu t the other guy stinks more? Democrats vote against, but historically, Republicans want to vote FOR.
