I am sure all here watched last night's debate.

Or, at least are aware that all polls and media sources awarded the debate to Romney.

So, I was surprised to see the following message on my computer this morning.....

I hope I made you proud out there explaining the vision we share for this country.

Now we need to go win this election -- the most important thing that will happen tonight is what you do (or don't do) to help in the little time we have left:

Made me proud of his Vision for America?
Did this guy see the same debate that I saw?
Or, what did the guys at the Dem Party see?
I begin to wonder if he suffers from CRS.....
What do you think?

A couple of things. . .

Obama camp promises tougher response to Romney in next debate

http://thehill.com/video/campaign/260209-obama-camp-promises-toughe...

Reeling from a debate performance where President Obama often seemed listless and subdued relative to his Republican opponent, the Obama campaign's top strategist said Thursday they would more aggressively challenge Mitt Romney on alleged inconsistencies in his policies. . .

Which brings me to my next point. . .could it be that BHO's performance was intentional/done on purpose???  Please, hear me out. . .remember how earlier in the week, the campaign down played how BHO might do:

Messina added that Obama won't necessarily win this first debate.

"In the history of debates, the challenger typically wins the first debate," Messina said. "So we have a lot of things stacked up against us.

This bunch is so devious/they lie so much that you can't trust anything about them as far as you can throw them. . .which is why I can't shake this uneasy feeling that BHO lost on purpose.

I do feel that Romney was well prepared; answered the questions very well; looked much more presidential than BHO (heck, my dog is more presidential than BHO).  I just have this feeling that we were some how set up; that BHO played "dumb" on purpose and wants to lull us into this euphoria we are feeling today; that maybe there's a real chance that Romney can win; yeah!!!

Please don't get me wrong; I pray very hard every single day that BHO does not get re-elected; that America is given a second chance to do right by God and the founding principles he bestowed upon our wonderful country. . .I know that BHO relies toooooo much on his "woobie" teleprompter but he's such a con-artist, I just can't help but feel we've been "conned" again which is why they are promising to "be tougher" in the next debate!

Sorry to be such a negative Nancy. . .just another perspective and I hope that I am really, really wrong!

I know, I know, it's John McCain (and he seriously needs to retire), but this goes to my concern:

“There’s no doubt that Governor Romney did a great job last night,” McCain said. “I think it’s pretty clear that the president was not well-prepared.”

“But don’t underestimate Barack Obama in the next debate,” McCain said. “He’s a very smart man and an excellent debater.”

Please don't change the name of this discussion to "questioning Nancy's sanity". . .call it a Mom's intuition but something just isn't right. . .

Nancy I smell a rat, too.  Since '07, actually... but we're talking about the debates!

What made me suspicious was the way the DNC was intentionally lowering expectations for Obama's performance, ahead of the debate.

Why would they do that?

Obama may come out swinging in the next debate, but I don't think Mitt will be any less prepared... keep praying.

Let's take another look here.

It was obvious that Romney was deliberate, creative, respectful yet determined and forceful. That doing so he was clearly able to persuade the audience during each segment that most if not all of his approaches had more merit, deserved and even if for a moment, received the consideration of each listener.  That is why the Democrats are so livid about Obama's performance and thus Romney, decidedly won the debate.

Poor old McCain hadn't had the same result; not even close. He had nothing that would compete with "CHANGE" and other slogans that hit the senses of the average voter.  So he personally sees this as something others will compare directly to his debating with Obama and deduct that he was incompetent or at the least ineffective. Quite the contrary.

What he and anyone else who takes that conclusion fails to realize is that unlike McCain, Romney had the advantage of the factual disarray Obama has made of his own administration and utilized it, front row center!

We have all been wondering why there are still so many who seem unshaken from the Obama web.  With poor results on jobs, race relations, the economy (cost increases of food, gas utilities), horrible foreign relations, the Libian embassy attack, fast and furious, the XL Pipeline; here's the reason.

They want us to believe that Obama is stale with regard to the debate scene, well it was the excessive negativism from the largely laughed at (mostly by Dem's) debate frequency that resulted in the difficult position Romney was in immediately after "all those debates"!

Prior to last night Obama had repeatedly been claiming that Romney would raise taxes on the middle class and give big tax breaks to the rich.  That was a sore spot for many and frankly myself, especially in that Romney never denied those comments, and as I see now smartly so.  When he did so last night, Obama was beside himself which is why he repeated the comment about there was no way to reduce taxes, and reduce the deficit while increasing military spending. He doesn't get it. He also stated something to the extent that he (Romney) had been running for fifteen months with those tax revisions and just now he (Romney) changes his tune. Actually it was the Obama advisors who were claiming those tax changes as the only possible way that Romney's "plan" would work, and Obama thought it was fact, when it wasn't.   Obama fails to realize that as you take people off the mainstream employment roles, they become dependent on other sources and no longer contribute to the tax base. That military spending protects the US and its future as well as puts people back to work paying into the system and increasing public spending, which fuels more jobs. . . Not to mention, like the space program, the spin offs of new products from the research and development.  But then again, never having worked for the private sector nor starting a business or hiring an employee, there is just so much he can learn in an hour and a half.

Great overview Jim. . .I especially agree with your McCain remarks.  Looking forward to Ryan wiping up the floor with Biden and Romney continuing to capitalize (yes, pun intended) on his performance last night--thanks :)

I don't think so Nancy. He's too proud to intentionally fall from grace like that. His face and body language showed true frustration, anger and rage at Romney. He couldn't look like that if he was throwing it on purpose. And why would he? the next debate is on foreign policy, does he think he's going to do any better THERE? No, he was off prompter, never challenged, and he stammered and stuttered as he always does off prompter. Mitt is smart, people underestimate that guy. He did get a law degree and graduate Harvard business, just like Barack, but he didn't get in on affirmative action and is the real deal when it comes to being a scholar.

Nancy I too think something is wrong. I remember Obama grew up with Muslims. Mother, Father, Step-father, and in Indonesia. A Muslim is taught to lie to INFIDELS by their Koran. It is the way they conquer the world. Anyone not Muslim is lower than a dog and deserves no truth. Our Southern border has pried open by the Obama Government to allow an influx of dark skin, dark haired people to come into the U.S. without papers. Who might that be excluding Mexicans?

Good points Gayla. . .we all know that BHO sees us as the Infidels (after all, wasn't it his Homeland Security that characterizes Americans like us, who distrust big government and who support the Constitution, as domestic extremists or even terrorists?)

Far as I know every aspect of my life fits his definition of potential terrorist. I believe in our Constitution, I read the bible, I believe in local cures for local problems, the second amendment and the value of a human life. None of these things did I see in the Democrat Convention. Thus I am no longer a Democrat and haven't been since 2008. Although I did not support Romney during the Primary, the more I see of the Real Romney the more I like. Past  personal actions are a good indicator of future public actions.

Bless you Gayla,  your common sense is the best hope we have for our America.  How wonderful to know that not every democrat is blind. It is both amazing and frightening to try to open the eyes of the "useful idiots" who are following the pied piper of socialism (or worse) right on over the cliff, and taking our freedom with them.

Mitt Romney was so superior to his opposition, a fact that should have been plain to all the world.  To a frightenend and confused America, he offered hope that something could be done.   I marvel at the people who vote for Obama because he is "likeable."   Don't they know the devil has a "pretty face;"  that's how he beguiles.  Most thoughtful people would rather have a guy who has a clue about how to conduct the affairs of government, and how to stop this insane race to our destruction.

Surely it is plain that the president had no taste or time for foreign policy;  the use of drones is all he knew.  How very unusual that he did not want terrorist waterboarded, but rather kill them outright.    Surgical strikes do not arouse the ire of the left; it's out of sight, out of mind, and leftist cruelty doesn't bother them.  After all socialist tyrants have murdered millions--not a problem for their disgraceful disgust of common folk, for the "superior elitists" which they imagine they are.  They have no real taste for foreign policy in their drive to "transform America."

May I add a personal experience which is perfectly illustrates their situation?  Guests in my home failed to flush the toilet wll when my husband lay dead.  I had no time or energy - nor indeed any interest - in a sewage back-up and basement flooded with the mess.  I did just what I had to, call a plumber to dig up the yard.  The stinking mess in the basement had to wait., but I had no taste for it at all.  Yes, I understand their inattention to foreign affairs when their compelling task is to bury America!   And how they have been frantic to get it done.

Not quite made it though; they could not be so blatant as to arouse the populace; that's why the president needs "a little more time" to finish the job.  You will see how fast it goes, if he is elected.  Why do you think he has signed more executive orders than all past presidents (nearly a 1000)?   Why has he given such regulatory powers to the EPA?  And most frightening,  Homeland Security is buying up weapons of war?  We have an military to fight foreigners.

Please wake up ,America, while it is yet day, for "the night cometh" when  our work will meet crushing opposition.  Let's pray the ballot box will do the job.

It makes me sick when Obama says he needs more time to finish the job, what he means is to completly destroy America, 4 years wasn't enough time to finish it off.

Mormons are also taught to lie. It's called "Lying for the Lord."
