Sexist attacks on Sarah Palin: It’s okay if you are a liberal


 

 

Bill Maher, who is allegedly a comedian, recently made a very tasteless, sexist comment directed towards Sarah Palin.

 

The silence from the left was deafening.  Had the speaker been a conservative, the firestorm would have been immediate and intense.   The left would have demanded the conservative apologize, lose their job, attend sensitivity training and come out in favor of everything on the loony feminist agenda. 

 

From NOW, at first silence.  Then they finally said they would denounce Maher for what he said but then said, “we are on to you, you right wingers.”

 

Where does someone start with this?  Maher is a talentless hack. If he were not a liberal, no one would even pay attention to him.  Of course, for NOW, it is the seventh circle of hell that they have to step out and defend Sarah Palin.  Maher is a part of the liberal establishment so he is able to get away with such stupid and offensive comments. 

 

Double standards are mandatory for liberals.  They do not want to defend Sarah Palin.  After all, she is everything they are not.  She is talented, intelligent, worked her way up using her own brains and talent and does not look like a reject from a Texas cattle stockyard. 

 

Of course, NOW is nothing more than an arm of the liberal establishment.  They only came out in defense of Sarah Palin because they had to.  Conservatives called them on this.  Conservatives followed Alinsky’s playbook, making liberals live up to their own ideals. 

 

Watching NOW, or as Rush Limbaugh likes to call them, the NAGs, National Association of Gals, go through contortions to make sure they were not to hard on a liberal was really amusing.   They had to make sure in their comments they were not endorsing Palin.  I can almost imagine the writer of the press release holding it out at arm’s length so that none of the Palin germs got anywhere near her.

 

NOW has a long and disgusting record of double standards.  They ignored Jerry Brown’s staffer calling Meg Whitman a “whore” last year during the California Governor’s race.  Sexist remarks against conservative women get a pass as long as the speaker is a liberal.  NOW will not even stand up against allegations of sexual assault, as long as the alleged perpetrator is a liberal. When Juanita Broderick claimed Bill Clinton raped her and had some credible evidence to back up the claim, NOW was silent.  When Anita Hill made extremely weak charges of sexual harassment against Clarence Thomas, NOW was all over them.  There were demands that Thomas withdraw his nomination, all because he was a conservative.  Had he been a liberal and supported abortion, he could have been a serial rapist for all they would have cared.

 

It is hard to take NOW seriously any more.  They are truly a joke.  The good news is there is a wave of conservative women led by Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann who do not need to hide behind such a fringe group and who really put theories of equality into practice.

 

Meanwhile, NOW becomes little more than the punch line on a joke told by a talentless comedian.

Bill is a talentless comedian trying to make it big. He is not funny, and I don't listen to him.

I find it tasteless on many levels, one of which in sure allot of Japanese people who have loved ones that have died, didn't find it that funny either and maybe even found it extremely tasteless also.

I have written HBO and told them I will cancel HBO just because of these comments he has made.

The liberal mind is an interesting thing.  It is incapable of recognizing its own hypocrisy. It can establish rules of behavior and common decency, and then, hypocritically do the "opposite thing", and never see the irony of it.  It can hold itself up as the model of compassionate feelings, and then viciously attack the character of someone who disagrees with a position.  You can't argue with liberals because whatever logical position they might want to express gets caught up in an emotional rant, replete with personal attacks, and name calling.  You can't take on their tactics because it is too humiliating for a rational mind to embrace (thank God).

Phillip, thanks, you have plagerized my thoughts almost exactly.  It's clearly sexist hate speech, but the MSM and even the "nags" give liberals a "pass" when the object of the remark is a conservative woman.  This goes far beyond the politics of personal destruction.  In this case, it's just plain crass and vulgar...and I hope that HBO has the integrity to just cancel Maher permanently.

This represents just one more classic example of the Left's modus operandi.  Although the NAACP and other liberals have been pushing nebulous "hate speech" legislation for years, they never intended that such legislation apply to them.  They only wanted to be able to label conservative speech, and assign "hidden meanings" to pictures or "code words" therein.  They want to make it possible for left-wing groups to make outrageous, politically-motivated accusations about “code words,” and then express phony outrage at these perceived "insults" to their race or political sensibilities (real or contrived) and make them prosecutable.

Indeed, can anyone think of a single conservative/right-of-center issue that the Left has NOT labeled as “code” for racism or some other PC crime?  Their ultimate goal is an unfettered ability to not only make accusations that damage their opponents politically but to also throw them in jail as well.  And, naturally, the Left is “incapable” of such crimes.  Why?  Well…they just are, because being a leftist means never having to take responsibility for your personal morality or your own actions...or even say that you're sorry.

Very well said.  Everytime I get into a disagreement with the left side it always comes to me being called rasist and against god.  Yesterday I was told that a post on facebook I placed " How do you scare a liberal?  Say your a gainfully employeed church going family man."  I was told that it was "Hate Speach" and against the law for me to post.  Did I miss something?

NOW does not come to the aid of women who are "men's women or women's women".  And, "men" like Bill Maher are intimidated by her because they don't know their own sexuality.  Women like Sarah Palin who can stand toe-to-toe with a man scare those who are still weak little women and men.  But, of course, those on the right who say they would never vote for Sarah Palin "because I don't like her" are just as weak.  Either support her or please just sit down and be quite!  I would bet Sarah would have Gadhaffi quaking in his boots, instead he is laughing at little Barry.

Bill Mayer is an insult to humanity. The left is scared to death Sarah will run for President. The ones on the right that say they dont like her are jealous of her. She is a true American, Christian woman who does not back down, she will fire right back at them. What is it they dont like? A woman still married to her first husband, a working mother with 5 children, one with down syndrome, a woman who knows her God and follows Christian beliefs, A woman who can shoot, hunt and fish. A woman who has run a city and a state, a governor who gave thousands of state money back to the people. She is definatly dangerous to the lefts way of thinking. Give her the Whitehouse and a conservative Senate and Congress and you will see the waste gone and the economy restored. The repubs that dont like her know if she gets the Whitehouse she will come after them too if they are crooked!!!!!
