Today should be a good day for Rick Santorum.  Assuming he can keep his foot out of his mouth.    But as the pro-Romney media is so willing to point out, a win today does not stop Romney.

What has to happen?

We are going to have to do something totally unique in American politics.  We are going to have to borrow a page from the Tea Party movement.  We conservatives are going to have to rise up and lead our leaders.

Newt Gingrich cannot win the nomination based on winning delegates in the primaries.  Rick Santorum is not quite mathematically eliminated but he is getting close.   If either of them drops out, Romney wins.

If either of them drops out, conservatives lose.

There have been some suggestions that Santorum and Gingrich join forces to stop Romney.  For whatever reason, Gingrich and Santorum are not making that happen.

We the people need to make it happen so we can stop Romney.

Almost every day we see a new video coming out from the past of Mitt Romney.  Yesterday the Blaze unearthed an old video of Mitt Romney saying his only connection to the Republican Party was his party registration.  Before that was that famous video of him announcing he was a moderate, “a progressive.”

We all got a reality check this week when Romney campaign director Eric Fehrnstrom announced after the primary Romney would reset his campaign like an Etch a Sketch.   We all understood that.  He would go from “running like a conservative,” to being the liberal that he is.

We must support both candidates now to try and stop liberal Mitt Romney from becoming the nominee.

The campaigns may not unite but the supporters of both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are conservatives and we must unite to stop the liberal wing of the Republican Party from winning.

If the campaigns will not talk to each other, the people must.  We must all work together to stop Romney.

When the Tea Party burst onto the scene, we did something amazing.  A leaderless movement totally changed the way America was talking.  We need to do that again.  Our war is with socialism and if we are not careful, we will end up with two candidates running for President who love socialism.  The only difference between them will be the degree to which they worship at the altar of big government.

There is one hard truth that I have accepted.  As I now fight to stop Romney, I realize if we go to a brokered convention, my candidate Newt Gingrich may well not win that fight.   As much as I would like him to be the nominee and as much as I believe he is absolutely the best candidate we have, if I have to see another conservative in his place in order to stop Mitt Romney, I am willing to see that happen.  Every Newt supporter should feel the same way.

Santorum supporters need to come to the same decision.   If we conservatives have to compromise and choose another conservative, someone other than Rick Santorum, in order to stop Mitt Romney, we should embrace this.

The Tea Party movement is about restoring a conservative, constitutional government to America.  It is about resetting our government so that it respects our inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We will never protect those rights with a liberal in the White House and it does not matter which party that liberal comes from.  We must replace Barack Obama, but we gain little if we replace him with a Republican liberal who embraces most of the same policies.

This is freedom’s last stand.  If Romney wins, liberty loses.

This is why we must all unite to stop Romney and elect a conservative President this fall.

Wow!  Sorry this is bigger then life but I don't know how to shrink it...  anyways... You said "If the campaigns will not talk to each other, the people must. We must all work together to stop Romney." The problem is we are both passionate about our guy and thinks our guy is the better candidate so I don't see Santorum people crossing over or Newt people crossing over until our own guy decides to drop out.

The reason I stick with Newt over Santorum is because he has the record already written in stone of his ability to accomplish what he says he can do and I believe he means he wants to do it again.  I can hear the love in his heart for America.  Newt is already presenting ideas and solutions for our problems and all I hear from the others is they agree, sometimes with Newt. Newt is already putting Obama on his toes, making him answer to issues he has been wanting to bury and keep from answering.  ex:  Keystone and the price of gas.

Newt and his ideas are being suppressed by the media and the GOP because they know when people hear his message he becomes popular.  They keep tossing out the same "baggage" lies that we have already gone over and proven to be false.

I do agree that Romney will be a total disaster and is not conservative.  Just learning that his father had direct ties to Saul Alinsky is enough to make me run from the Romney name...

I don't like Santorum ...at all.

If Santorum wins the nomination, all I'll do is show up and vote for him in the general election. Deed done.

I won't campaign for him or work his phones.

I refuse to defend the man on the phone with independents. He's stupid.

When a man makes that many gaffs, then you know there's something WRONG with his thinking.

Haven't we discovered that with 0bama? Both he and Santorum are arrogant and oblivious to the world around them.

The people of Pennsylvania obviously knew it...they wouldn't even reelect Santorum.

If we end up with Obama or Obama Lite, then the only road I see is to take over the Senate and retain the House.  At least there might be some restraint put on the executive branch until a real conservative can be elected to the presidency. Of course, that also implies that neither Boehner or McConnell retain their positions. Those two must also be ousted.

Perhaps the biggest problem with ObamaLite remains the lack of enthusiasm for him.

Lack of enthusiasm leads to Extremely low voter turnout as seen even in the later primaries.

And, low turnout also will invariably carry over to both the House and Senate selections.

Sorry, it all ties together. We need a inspirational candidate for the big chair!

Exactly! America needs a HERO!

of course there is even less enthusiasm for Newt who continues to come in dead last in nearly every state so it's hard to imagine him getting out the vote all of a sudden.

I understand your dismay, Kristin. We must face the possibility that neither Newt or the far less capable Santorum shall become the Republican candidate. But we must march forward, and fight for the best candidate!

We in Maine may be helping with the Senate.  As you know, Olympia, the queen of abortion. Snowe is leaving, Praise GOD!!!, anyhow we have one pro-life conservative running, Bruce Poliquin.

Bruce is currently Maine's Treasurer.  He ran for Governor and when he lost the current Governor, Paul LePage appointed him treasurer.  I have known Bruce for a while and know him to be honest, hard working and pro-life.  A first for Maine in over 35 years.

A dead skunk on a busy freeway is better than Obama.

I would have said: A dead skunk on a busy freeway is better than Obama or obama lite.

love it!

Rick Santorum has to reach out to the Evangelical community, many of us do not trust him,
