Sanity and leadership has been sorely lacking this year on Capitol Hill. We would never expect any from the Democrats. Their primary objective seems to be how quickly can they destroy the American economy and impoverish this great nation.
The GOP has been a disappointment as well, not standing up and fighting for real budget cuts. Just when it seemed like it was time to give up, someone in Washington stood up.
Michelle Bachman.
The left laughs at Michelle Bachman. That’s okay. They laughed at Ronald Reagan too.
Michelle Bachman and five others voted against the continuing resolution to keep the government running while more budget negotiations take place.
Why?
Congressman Bachman released a statement saying, “I am vowing to vote ‘no’ on future Continuing Resolutions to fund the government unless there is specific language included to defund Obamacare and rescind the funding that has already been appropriated.” She also said, “Defunding Obamacare, along with defunding Planned Parenthood, must be non-negotiable planks in our budget negotiations.”
Wow!
Not only do we have a conservative who gets it but also who stands up for principle. It would have been very easy for Congressman Bachman to go along with the GOP leadership. She could have quietly cast her vote for the continuing resolution and no one would have said a word. Bachman got five others to go along with her in voting against the continuing resolution.
Six votes was not enough to stop the bill but she is not stopping. She is trying to get more votes.
Regrettably, the House leadership has signaled it is unlikely they would do anything to defund Obamacare. House Budget Committee Chair Paul Ryan said, “Something tells me Obama would not sign it.”
Really Captain Obvious? Perhaps Paul Ryan missed the message of the last election. If the people had wanted a congress that would send bills to the President that he would sign, Nancy Pelosi would still be Speaker of the House. Paul Ryan would still be a minority member.
The secret, which we have kept repeating here on Tea Party Nation, is the House cannot be forced to appropriate money. They can simply say no to spending. Harry Reid and the Senate can refuse to go along and Obama can veto the bills, but guess what? You still cannot force the House to spend money. This is a position of strength the House GOP does not seem to be willing to act from. Instead, most of the leadership wants to abandon their strongest positions and negotiate from a position of weakness.
Ten years ago, the Republicans controlled the House, the Senate and the White House. What did they do with that control? They acted like Democrats. The American people got tired of that and punished them by voting them out. If the GOP leadership in the House does not wake up and offer something other than just going along with the Obama, Pelosi, Reid axis of fiscal evil, they are going to find themselves in the minority again and this time they may never come out.
Is there anyone in the House with leadership skills and just a little courage? Yes, Michelle Bachman. By showing some courage and leadership, she should now be on every conservative’s short list for President.

Donald Trump is a loving husband and father. As far as that one woman or any woman “ who “ doesn’t trust him because of his domestic problems” believe me it was his ex-wife, they had the domestic problems, and not him. He is a good person.

And to me, his problem just looks like another domestic dispute. Who really knows what those are about? None of us do and it's always better to just accept them and not allow them to be an influencing factor in any political choice. Best always, John

She has given Republicans a wide open door about defunding Obamacare and if that's a big "If" the wishy washy Republicans would for once in many moons do the right thing for our Nation.
What we're seeing in the White House is disgraceful and it appears the Republicans are thumbing their noses at us. We've all sent emails, made calls and they know what needs to be done - here is the perfect time to make decisions on who should stay and who should go...
In a recent blog that I wrote about Chris Matthews - it was amazing to me that no one even took time to reply, complain or comment. In this blog I refer to "Rules of Radicals" and show the way our leaders can go on about their business without playing the "Radical Game." Here's what I said and if you observe Micelle Bachman this is exactly what she is doing.
There is really a very easy way to strip those who use the radical tools like Chris Matthews; do not react. Don’t play their game; don’t spend time trying to prove them wrong. Don’t acknowledge them in any way. Michelle doesn't get into a "pissing" match with them, nor does she really give them the time of day. She moves ahead with our plan of "taking back our country."

Lancellotti on Permalink Reply by Marcia Wood on John - the first rule that I've learned from the Obama crew (including the news media) is to ignore and come back with positive information for the viewing audience. There are many good videos out there on Michelle and we know that Matthews is a dyed in the wool Socialist; he's not worth wasting any good minutes of your day. Positive information along with the truth will win out in this battle to take back our country.
It's not all doom and gloom out there and we must learn the Rules of Radicals (truth doesn't exist with them) and they delight in distracting and dividing our troops. I wish I knew the answer to all of this, but I know they're a waste of time, so maybe you can help me out here! Thanks for bringing this article to light.

I am still studying Bachmann's Congressional voting record, I like what I see so far. Where does she stand on finally securing on our Nation's borders? On Amnesty? Did she vote against the will of the American people by voting for the bailout of the bankers on Wall Street while McCain suspended his campaign to rush to their aid? What were her views on Iraq before our unconstitutional war of aggression against a nation that posed no threat to us? What are her views now with no WMDs were found, with 4000 American soldiers dead, with at least five times that many American soldiers wounded physically and mentally, with 10,000s of Iraqis dead and with one trillion dollars in treasure spent? Does her voting record back these positions.
The question is? Would she sell her soul to the Devil ...and further bankrupt this Nation by backing the Neo Con agenda of nation building (as in Iraq and now Libya) and the New World Order?
I am currently working to get Ron Paul elected. I plan vote for a Ron Paul for President, period.... as a true Tea Party candidate (e.g. third party run) After all it was Ron Paul patriots that started the Tea Party revolt with his $6 million money bomb day in December 2007. I hope Dr. Paul decides to run as a third party candidate (e.g. The Constitution Party) because we all know that the Neo Con controlled Republican Party will never allow him to win the nomination.
I plan to work against and vote against any candidate that continues the Neo Con agenda of nation building and playing global cop to the world. And Yes I am a true Tea Party Patriot that loves this Nation and don't believe in the Masonic one-world government view that has all but destroyed our once blessed Nation under God.

Lancellotti on Permalink Reply by Marcia Wood on Dan is right - third party is a sure way for Obama to win again in 2012; he's campaigning as we speak, has tons of money and is truly the most evil human being I've been around in my lifetime. Having said that God works in mysterious ways, and I think before 2012 comes around Obama will fall by the wayside. We must educate our young people, talk to college students and show them a better way.
My grandchildren have been influenced to a degree by some very bad professors and teachers, but I'm finding that they want to talk and all of them are starting to do their homework and studying the Constitution. Some of our conversations are heated, but very worthwhile and when I can show them proof behind a statement that I make, they're quite interested. Anyway I don't think a third party candidate is a safe way to go at this time.
