Newt Gingrich has failed to make the ballot in Virginia, which means the only two people who will show up on the GOP primary ballot in that state will be, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.
That is about like asking if you would prefer your root canal without painkillers or a lobotomy.
Ron Paul campaigned yesterday in Iowa, and if anyone needed any further proof that he should not even be elected dogcatcher, he offered it.
Once again, he was out telling us that we have nothing to worry about from a lunatic regime developing nuclear weapons.

Earlier in the day at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester, Iowa, the Texas congressman was asked what he would do about Iran from an audience member who said, “There is something going on there and I’m of worried about it.” Paul replied that it’s “not true” that Iran is developing a nuclear weapon.
“I’m worried about it too, but maybe not in the same way as some others worry about it. I worry about us overreacting on Iran like we did in Iraq,” Paul said. “I think what’s going on now is not too dissimilar with Iran. Iran is not a physical threat to us. They do not have capabilities. The stories you might hear about them being on the verge of a nuclear weapon is not true by our CIA and by the United Nations they are not on the verge of it. Does that mean I don’t care? Yeah I care. I don’t want them to get a weapon.”
Paul said even if Iran does get a nuclear weapon that conservatives in favor of preventing the country from developing one and support intervention to stop the development are just worried that Iran will get a nuclear weapon and won’t use it and “all their fear mongering didn’t work.”
Would someone please put this man back on his medications?
When groups as diverse as the CIA, Israel and the United Nations say Iran is working on nuclear weapons that is a pretty good indication that they are working on nuclear weapons. Ron Paul can turn red and rant all he wants but that does not change the truth.
Then again, to paraphrase a famous movie, “He can’t handle the truth.”
It is difficult to get through Ron Paul’s tin foil hat but perhaps someone should try to explain to him that Iran’s religious leaders, who are a nutty as he is, hate America. They want to see America and Israel both destroyed. We are the great Satan to them and if we are destroyed it will help pave the way for a world wide Islamic caliphate and their version of the second coming.
Paul always throws up the straw man argument that Iran does not have the delivery system to get a nuke delivered to America and if they did, we have hundreds of nuclear bombs to retaliate with.
Al-Qaeda has tried repeatedly to take nuclear weapons, without success so far from Pakistan. If Iran develops the bomb, they will not have to steal them. Iran will provide nukes to Islamic terrorists.
Iran does not need a delivery system. In fact, they do not want one. They have terrorists. All them want is a terrorist cell to do their dirty work for them.
As Ron Paul closed out his campaigning in Iowa yesterday, he gave away copies of the Ron Paul family cookbook. He claimed he did not know what the calorie counts were in the dishes. Amazingly enough, he did not know about the racist statements that were made in the newsletter that carried his name and he made a lot of money off of in the 80’s and 90’s.
Paul is ignorant of the calorie count, ignorant of the racist remarks made in his name and ignorant of international politics and terrorism.
Or maybe he is just plain crazy.

I was a Cain supporter who now is in Ron Paul's camp. He's not crazy. His critics have a penchant for twisting his words and lying about him. Ron Paul would make a fine President. I'd sleep better with him in the WH.

If we go to war with every nation who wants the bomb who threatens us then we will be the aggressor. For years we permitted a Russian regime that threatened us to have a large number of Atomic weapons and we had almost the same arsenal as we have now. I can't for the life of me see how a country like Iran is more of a threat to the world than Russia was. I believe we let our fears, no matter how unrealistic they are, drive us to make actions that cause war or threaten to cause wars. We need to stop the incessant media coverage who makes their money by playing on our fears by holding them to a higher standard..

To clarify Iran from "any other nation who wants the bomb who threatens us" -- they have repeatedly stated their intent to wipe Israel and the Jews off the face of the planet earth, and to also aid their extremist proxies in attacking American "allies" around the middle east.
They are not hiding their intent, but you seem to want to cling to the hope that they are just lying about it.

(NOTE: I have not chosen a favorite to date) What I am fearing now is that a third party candidate such as Ron Paul or Donald Trump will get in and end up pulling enough votes away from the Republican candidate to give the Community Organizer in Chief (let them eat cake candidate) will return for 4 more years to complete the total destruction of this once great Republic and finalize his transformation of America into the European Socialist nation he TOLD us he was going to create before he was elected. This will allow him to finish what he started and we will all be serfs to the federal government. God help us all.
