Dear Members of Tea Party Nation,
I wanted to take a moment to thank each of you. Thanks to you, Tea Party Nation remains the top Tea Party site on the web and a great place to be.
This year is an exciting year. Tea Party Nation is involved in a number of activities we will be talking about shortly and we have some great changes we are working on that you will see in the next few months. For me personally, the next few months are bringing some wonderful opportunities that I will be sharing shortly.
But again, none of it would be possible without the wonderful members of Tea Party Nation.
Periodically we get questions at Tea Party Nation. It has been a while since I have answered some of them and we have had a lot of new members since I last did this so I thought I would answer a few of the questions that have come through.
Is Tea Party Nation the official home of the Tea Party?
No, TPN is not. The Tea Party has neither leaders nor does it have an official home.
Do you or TPN think you are the official spokesman for the Tea Party?
Again no. With no official leadership, there is no official spokesman for the movement.
What is Tea Party Nation?
We are a home for conservatives. We try to be a friendly place where conservatives can meet, network, discuss and debate issues.
How do I get my blog published on TPN?
Here is what we look for in a blog. We look for something in general that is between 500 and 1000 words. Those limits are not cast in stone. It must be well written and interesting.
You deleted my post. Why?
This is the most frequent question we get. We do exercise editorial control over the site. Posts are deleted if they are abusive, defamatory, or are spam, nothing more than a link to another website, a link to a fundraiser of some kind or a link to a petition.
Who makes the decision to delete posts?
We have several site admins who are wonderful people. The site could not be run without them. They know what the rules are and try to make sure TPN is a place you want to come back to.
Was my post deleted because I disagree with Judson Phillips (or the writer of the blog)?
No. We conservatives are not afraid of the free market of ideas. Debate and disagreement on ideas is perfectly acceptable. Where it becomes unacceptable is when it becomes abusive towards someone else. If someone is trolling (just trying to cause a fight) their post will be deleted and they may lose their membership.
Debate and disagree with the idea. However, do not personally attack the person who wrote the idea. Leave that to the liberals.
Does TPN work with other groups?
Absolutely! I recently became an associate director with TheTeaParty.Net and I have been on several tours with Tea Party Express. I will also be in Washington on April 16-17 working with Herman Cain and other Tea Party groups.
Why do I have to become a member to see this website.
Well, you do not have to anymore. Because of problems we had in the past with some far left nuts attacking our site, we had our site set up where you had to register to even view the site. A few weeks ago, we decided to change this. Now, if you want to read a blog you can without registering and you can now easily share a blog you like by emailing a link or posting the link on FaceBook. If you want to comment you still have to register.
Tea Party Nation is your website. It is a great place that we hope you enjoy coming to every day. If you like TPN, please tell your friends about it and invite them to join us.
Thank you for helping us to be the best Tea Party site on the web.

Permalink Reply by Judson Phillips on April 4, 2012 at 7:54pm Thank you for the kind words!
Ditto what Pastor Rob said, Judson. I can't say it any better!!
Permalink Reply by Lizzie on April 4, 2012 at 8:51pm Yes! Thanks to Judson and Sherry! Thanks to all the moderators and all of the members who contribute. You really offer a home for anybody who loves our country and wants to keep it free.
Permalink Reply by Mike NQR on April 4, 2012 at 8:21pm I know I have disagreed with you once or twice but did so civilly and was not deleted. I enjoy reading the blogs and most of the replies and, of course, I have no comment for every single issue or I'd never accomplish anything of my own.
Permalink Reply by Nancy on April 4, 2012 at 8:47pm You mentioned that anyone can read a "blog" without being a member--sorry if this is redundant, but does that include "forum" discussions as well? And what about our personal "my page"?
Thank you for all you do to help educate America; for creating a site where we can speak our minds and meet up with other wonderful Americans.
Permalink Reply by Judson Phillips on April 4, 2012 at 8:55pm Yes, they can see forums and personal pages. But they cannot post anything without joining.

TY so much for TPN. Your articles elicit thoughtful discussions, and, gives WTP another place to vent, to express OUR thoughts. I don't always agree with you, but, I so appreciate all you are doing for us. Keep it up, Judson.....just look at the number of folks coming in to give their opinions.....a TRUE little slice of the good old USA!!! TY!!!!
Permalink Reply by Chas Jones on April 5, 2012 at 7:11am I offer my sincere Thanks to ALL who Host this site and to ALL who read and contribute here. Conservatives need a place to meet and to discuss with civility issues and solutions for our republic.
I try to always address the substance of one's words and not the Poster. Conservatives must be about dialogue and ideas, about persuasion and Truth.
I look forward to working and discussing together for a better tomorrow.

I also live in Nashville as I moved here about 1.5 years ago to help Belmont University start up their new law school. I'm the Associate Dean for Information Services and Associate Professor of Law.
Possibly we could have lunch sometime to discuss you speaking to our new law students; any interest?
All the best,

Permalink Reply by Brad Myers on April 5, 2012 at 1:56pm Hey Judson and Sherry... Thank you for keeping me informed. If it was not for the TPN site, I would be blindly out in left field since the Lame Stream Media will "either" not report on a situation OR use their complete BIAS on a situation. Judson, by the way, I really like your ties on the 2 minute videos... smile...
Permalink Reply by Sherrie Gale Orange on April 7, 2012 at 8:45am John Wayne had a great quote about couage. "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." I well understand what that means. Coke will find out in the long term that having no courage to do what is right, will come back and bite them in the bottom....bottom line, that is.
