Sometimes you just have to laugh at some of this stuff. Barack Obama decided to do a press conference of sorts today.
The results? Priceless.

President Obama took a question from NBC News’ Chuck Todd who asked whether he thinks that there is something hidden in Mitt Romney’s tax returns which could be potentially damaging to his candidacy.
“There is a difference between playing by the same sets of rules and doing something illegal, and in no way have we suggested the latter,” said Obama.
Obama went on to illustrate this point by saying that the returns that Romney has so far disclosed indicate that he made use of a Swiss bank account. “Well, that may be perfectly legal but I suspect that if you asked the average America, ‘do you have one?’ ‘Is that part of how you manage your tax returns?’ They would say ‘no,’” said the President.
Obama said that he thinks that, as well as other details of Romney’s personal finances, are relevant information for voters.
“I think the idea that this is somehow exceptional – that there should be a rationale or a justification for doing more than the very bare minimum – has it backwards,” Obama continued. He said that voters expect Romney to release as many returns as past candidates have, including his own father.
“The American people have assumed that, if you want to be President of the United States, that your life is an open book when it comes to things like your finances,” said Obama.
President “Open Book” has spoken.
If the media were not in the tank for Obama, this would be funny. Well President “Open Book”, how about opening up.
Let’s start with your birth certificate. The real one, not the fake one that you released. How about your college records? All of them. Inquiring minds want to know, since you said anyone who wants to be President should have their life as an open book.
Did you go to school as a foreign exchange student? Your records that you have never released from Occidental and Columbia would tell us this.
How did you pay for Occidental? How did you pay for Columbia? How did you as a mediocre student get into Columbia and then Harvard? And how did you pay for Harvard? Who wrote your reference letters for Columbia and Harvard?
Obama thinks Romney should be an open book? Real Americans think that kind of openness should apply to Obama.
Mr. Obama, show us your records!

This was such a great opportunity to have dipped a toe in those waters. I surely understand why many would pass on the birth certificate issue - so successful has the opposition been with their "birther" moniker, aka "loonies" - but, as you say, why not dip in with the college transcripts, applications and the like. The press was in a frenzy over George Bush's transcripts from Yale. He relented and released the records. Sure would be a good way to deflect this tax return nonsense.

This statement is just as stupid as Obama spending millions to keep them closed. What is our Country coming too and why are we letting this crap keep on going? How about Obama playing by the same set of rules, and releasing his REAL birth certificate (if one exists)? Or how about we prosecute Obama for presenting false documentation (the forged BC)? Wouldn't that be "playing by the same set of rules" that the rest of us are held to?
Becuase if any of us had presented fake or forged documents we'd be setting i prison now, on a felony conviction.

We are being used as tools for him to destroy our way of life. Open book, what a joke. I would vote for anybody but Obama!
