The third and final Presidential debate happened last night.   With the final debate over, we run into the last two weeks of the campaign.  Did either side deliver a fatal blow to the other last night?  Will there be a major change?  What one shocking thing can we say about the debate that you probably are not hearing anyplace else?

Last night, Mitt Romney looked like President Romney and Barack Obama looked like President Grumpypants.

Obama looked like a pouting three year old during most of the debate.   He kept interrupting Mitt Romney, speaking over Mitt Romney and just trying keep Romney from getting a word in edgewise.

At the end of the debate, Twitter seemed to explode with comments from people who wanted to hear Romney and were irritated with Obama.

Bob Scheiffer of CBS News was the host.  Having learned the lesson from Candy Crowly, did not interrupt nor did he fact check Mitt Romney.  Though he did interrupt Romney more than Obama.  Perhaps more importantly, he protected Obama by not bringing up the “Fast and furious” scandal.

Barack Obama came in aggressive and he lied.  He lied about Mitt Romney’s statements about the 2008 auto industry bailout.   He lied about not cutting the military budget.  He lied about the budget sequestration, trying to blame that on Congress.

In fact, all of the big lies came from Obama.  These were not obvious lies but if you study body language, they became obvious.   One of the things body language experts will tell you is that when someone is lying, they will tell you one thing, but subconsciously shake their heads no.  When Barack Obama was saying he had Israel’s back and would stand with Israel, he was shaking his head no.  When he said he wanted a strong America, he was shaking his head no.

For those who think that is fantasy, look how Obama has treated Israel and for that matter our allies and America’s military.

Perhaps the most stunning part of the debate was the amount on the time that was spent on domestic financial issues.  This is Romney’s strong suite and arguably, Obama’s weakest.   Why Obama was so willing to spend time on this topic, when foreign affairs is a topic an incumbent President should be able to dominate a challenger is simply stunning.

Is Obama so delusional he thinks economics is his strong suit?

At the end of the day, the issue is going to be who the President is in 2013.

When you have a failed Presidency like Obama’s, the question for the American people becomes, how comfortable are you with the challenger?   Americans have decided they do not like Obama.  The question is, can they trust Mitt Romney?

After the three debates, there is no question Mitt Romney won the debates.

After the debates, Obama remains below 50% in many crucial states.  Obama cannot close the deal.  Everyone in politics knows that 90% of the undecided are going to vote against the incumbent.

The undecided will go for Romney.

Just wait to see the polls in the next few days.  The surge for Romney will accelerate.  This morning Dick Morris predicted that Mitt Romney would win in a landslide.

I don’t always agree with Dick Morris but when I do, he’s right.  Stay tuned my friends.

This is going to be a Romney landslide.

Obama was rude and constantly interrupting and talking over Romney's answers and comments.  The thing that stuck with me most, though, was when Romney brought up Obama's "hot mike" discussion with Dmetri Medvedev where Obama told Medvedev to wait until after the election and he will be able to do more (not exact words, but you know what I'm talking about).  That was one of the few times that Obama did not interrupt Romney, because he obviously did not want that discussion to go any further. Obama acted like a rude, cranky old sour puss; not like a president.  Also, he lied many times; i.e. when he denied his "apology tours" to countries in the mideast.

Well,  OF  COURSE  he  lies,  Kathleen, . . . . if  YOUR  records  were  as  deplorable  as  OBUMMER'S  is,  wouldn't  you  ALSO  lie ? . . . .

When you are challenging the incumbent the issue that the President should have a commanding presence is Foreign Policy. it is why when you think of this as purely foreign policy, Obama won the night.

I however do believe Romney won the debate last night in total. Sometimes the best foreign policy is to be strong domestically. Romney did himself good last night. While I believe he should have hit Obama hard on Benghazi and rules of engagement, but Romney came across as Presidential and by all accounts passed the Commander-in-Chief.

Well,  Joseph  Christopher,  it  is  our  tendency,  as  " Human "  beings,  to  TEND  to  believe  that  the  candidate  we  LIKE  has  won, . . . .  that  is,  if  it  was  a  CLOSE  contest,  &  was  not  a  BLOW - OUT !

i sure hope you, and dick morris is right, i would settle for a 50.00001% win but that landslide you talk about would let it known that the people are fed up with a multitude of issues, like gay marrage, buying condoms for sombody that doesnt work, just stays home and has sex, wanting us to pay for there abortion when those contraceptives get forgot or fail, borrowing from china, then spending us into even deeper debt then borrowing more...... the list could go on and on, but i just woke up and im on my first cup of coffie, how does romney do it, mormons dont drink coffie, more power to him.

I would hope someone from The Tea Party would get rid of this distatsteful picture ! I have a special needs child and it only dipicts an insensitivty to people who are heavy (overwieght) and (challenged) I see this as a problem in Society as a (BULLYING) issue I am working on this in my community and this is aweful to see on the Tea part posts. I see this as using the words "FAT" and the R word. This person has no clue. Lets stick with the issues rather than the sickening redieric that has dominated the political relm for months now. SHAME! Not humorous at all! Might I note I can't stand O either want him otta here and feel Crowely was bought too!

First let me say I am sorry you have a special needs child. Special needs covers so much today it is really hard to define. Second, its people like you with your " I don't like that so take it down !!" attitude that has screwed up this nation !! Anything YOU don't like should be taken down or destroyed. If you do not like something or it offends you DO NOT LOOK AT IT !! YOU have no right to change or delete something that I may like just because you are offended !! There is such a thing as "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" or are you with Obummer and trying to take that away from us also ?? People like you need to take ALL of that energy you spend on things like this and put it toward something useful such as breast cancer, autism, birth defects, womens rights, bullying or anything USEFUL !! GET A LIFE !!  O, by the way, LETS STICK TO THE ISSUES !!

Obviously your not a sensitive person either. I am and have been for, and defended our freedoms most likey more than you have, your imaturity is showing. I simply made a statement that I did not like it, and hoped that not all Tea partiers would entertain such garbage on our Tea party Agenda. Such as you have just done with me. Maybe you even have apoint, I should have overlooked it, sooo I will spare myself your jeuvinile drama and consider people like you simply insensitive to others also.Sticking to the issues is precisely the point you are the one attacking me remember? God Bless America. I am and always will be a True patriot. Your attack was totally Obamalike look who's grumpy! PawPaw :)

You are the one who said "I would hope someone from The Tea Party would get rid of this " distatsteful " picture !" not me. That sounds more like a DEMAND because of YOUR distastefulness against the picture !!You have NO idea who I am or what I have been through in 64 years. And I doubt that you defended our FREEDOMS more than me. 3 tours in Vietnam, lost my brother under me and lost my best friend in Vietnam. YEA, YOU HAVE DONE MORE THAN ME !! You might spare yourself my "jeuvinile" drama and consider me insensitive but I watched my grand daughter that was born at 26 weeks and weighed 1 pound and sat at the hospital day and night watching her grow and develop for over 6 months. I now have 12 grandchildren ( lost one) and 6 great-grandchildren !! YEA, I AM INSENSITIVE !!! I did not attack you, I simply expressed my opinion that the CONSTITUTION guarantees each and every one of us !! I may be  "imaturity" and "jeuvinile" but at least I am SMART ENOUGH TO CHECK MY SPELLING so that I do not look stupid !! I am no way Obummer like---- I am an AMERICAN and I am NOT HALF WHITE - HALF BLACK----I also know how to pronounce "CORPS "----And aircraft carriers DO NOT GO UNDER WATER !!  GOD BLESS AMERICA !!

Ted: Why don't you do what YOUR post suggested and STICK TO THE ISSUES ??  Yes...we do have freedom of speech.......that's why Jeremiah Wright was allowed to say "God damn America".....however, it doesn't make it morally right or a statement/picture of respect or integrity.......so at some point, Ted.......restraint becomes a virtue. The idea, Ted, is to uphold conservatism as an honorable position--not at all like (and hopefully just the opposite of) the decayed and disrespectful squalor the liberals bathe in. Have a long and prosperous life......

Lisa Speed, if Ted and Lisa Matthews are going back and forth in much the same manner, why are you singling out only Ted?

Those who criticize the choice of words in the free speech of others (because it offends them) understand very little about why that issue and the other items in the Bill of Rights were considered important enough to be the first ten amendments.  These were added at the behest of the states to protect the individual from having those rights infringed upon.  The basic idea is that none of these things should be limited by any group or any government body because those bodies can themselves consist of corrupt human beings, which means they will inevitably use their power to further dissolve your rights as an individual.

In every case of political correctness, some person presents themself as the representative of an imaginary body that has somehow magically appointed itself to be the authority on what is acceptable speech, but they have offered no proof that they actually have any such authority at all.

This was described best by Bastiat in The Law:

"The claims of these organizers of humanity raise another question which I have often asked them and which, so far as I know, they have never answered: If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind? The organizers maintain that society, when left undirected, rushes headlong to its inevitable destruction because the  instincts of the people are so perverse. The legislators claim to stop this suicidal course and to give it a saner direction. Apparently, then, the legislators and the organizers have received from Heaven an intelligence and virtue that place them beyond and above mankind; if so, let them show their titles to this superiority.

They would be the shepherds over us, their sheep. Certainly such an arrangement presupposes that they are naturally superior to the rest of us. And certainly we are fully justified in demanding from the legislators and organizers proof of this natural superiority."
