This is in response to Pete Braud's Video yesterday:
There are people who say they hate America
They are ashamed of who we are and what we stand for
There are people who are envious of our wealth, our natural resources and the hope we shine upon the world
The abundance of the many things that we enjoy, and take for granted daily
The things that others would gladly kill to acquire, all in the name of some misguided ideal
Or greed and envy
And to squelch our many voices that shout from every corner of America, "Let freedom ring!"
Freedom for everyone to enjoy the way of life that we have all become accustomed to
Freedom to say and think the things that we wish to express
Freedom to live, work and travel to the places we prefer
Those wonderful freedoms that were paid for with blood, sweat and tears
Yet, we have become forgetful of the great sacrifices of those who have stood before us
Those men and women who have provided us with the plentiful bounty and freedoms we now enjoy
And as much as we revel in the awesome man-made structures and the cities that we have built,
It's the beauty of her mountains, lakes and rivers that makes America truly unique in this world
The deserts, the wide open plains, the oceans, the bays and coves, the swamps and Everglades
No other country in this world has the variety of natural wonders
From sea to shining sea, and all places in between
And so I say to those who would try to tear us down
I will not go quietly into that long goodnight
I will stand with my forefathers and fight for our rights
I will defend all that is good and give all I have to give
Although I may fall, life without freedom is no way to live
Second only to my faith in God, I reaffirm my loyalty to my country:
I pledge allegiance, to the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the Republic, for which it stands
One nation, under God, indivisible
With liberty and justice for all

In these troubled times, it's essential to step back and look at the amazing treasures left to us by our forefathers!

We must pass this nation on to future generations as free and great as we received it. We must!
