Why aren’t the Republicans playing hardball?

Even if Mitt Romney does not want to get into the eligibility issue with Obama, why aren’t Republicans going around him and going after Obama?

Newt Gingrich gets it.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told The Daily Caller that conservatives should press President Barack Obama to release his college academic records.

“I think every Obama request for transparency should be met with ‘do we get to see your senior paper at Columbia?’” Gingrich said when asked about the topic during an interview with reporters at The Daily Caller on Friday.

“I think the movement ought to be beating him up every morning,” Gingrich said.

Obama’s campaign has made a major issue out of calling on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to release more copies of his tax returns. Some conservatives have responded by bringing up the fact that Obama’s academic records are sealed.

Asked about the debate among conservatives about whether they should focus on unanswered questions about Obama’s past — from questions about Obama’s former controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright to his college transcripts — Gingrich said, “I think the movement should ask every question it wants to.”

Romney, however, should stay focused on the big themes of the race, he said. “I think Romney should focus on a handful of very, very big choices.”

Why is Obama so obsessed with keeping his records secret?

What is it in those records that is so damning to Barack Obama that he must keep them secret?

Could it be that he applied to college as a foreign aid student? Could it be that Obama offered proof that he was a citizen of another country?

Come on. This is something the Republicans cannot ignore.

We have the opportunity undo everything Obama has done. This is not even a no brainer. We can undo Obamacare and everything else Obama has done.

This is a great way to go on the offensive against the Obama campaign. There is no down side to it so can someone explain to me why the GOP is not all over this?

R & R have stated that they will remain focused on the issues. They are not going to get into the mud puddle and fight.

If Obama's past is NOT the issue, then just what the hell is the issue???

This man has usurped decades of existing legislation, has converted the Constitutional Presidency into a dictatorship Joe and Adolph would be proud of, and it is not supposed to be AN ISSUE???

When it come to removing a deadly virus, Progressivism...a Sherman's March scorched earth policy is the best policy. We need to remove every vestage of this unAmerican, anti-American ideology from our shores. Just my thoughts, but Socialism, Fascism, and Marxism are non-compatible with American values, beliefs, and principles.

If you HAVE ONE relative, son or daughter who has attended a school or university that is funded by this government then they would have to be removed per your statement. We've all been somewhat brainwashed, some by Satan himself.
