I was suggesting such an ongoing demonstration in Wash. DC, but I kept hearing that people had to work and couldn't afford to stay there for long. Eventually, we thought the way to do it was to have the retired folks go since they didn't have to work, and the rest of us would contribute the funds to help with expenses. The idea was apparently floated by some teaparty organizations, but perhaps they weren't interested in being involved because I never heard anything more.
Can you imagine the effect of a huge crowd of senior citizens protesting for their security or for their grandchildren?

I know that most Tea Party folks have to work but they can go on Facebook and search "Occupy (largest metro area nearby" and engage with the occupy crowd to voice our point of view and to point out the sheer danger to them of some of the things they are planning. I believe that their are a lot of good people in their movement who are being mis-led.
