There is an inconvenient truth Mitt Romney would like conservatives and Republicans to forget.   He was the inspiration for Obamacare and the individual mandate came straight from Romneycare.

Ron Suskind has a new book out, called “Confidence men.”  It is about the Obama regime and goes into some detail about the origins of the individual mandate.

From the Daily Caller:

Suskind goes on to demonstrate that President Obama, who previously had not embraced the individual mandate, was impressed by RomneyCare’s impact in Massachusetts:

“… the centerpiece of that program, the individual mandate, was something Obama had drawn up short of endorsing during the campaign, much to the ire of Hillary Clinton, who called him ‘all talk, no action’ on health care. Now, DeParle, in her memo, stressed that Obama should embrace a plan much like that in Massachusetts, driven by the teeth of a mandate, where individuals would be fined for not having health insurance. Obama, never much for the mandate, was concerned about legal challenges to it but was impressed by DeParle’s coverage numbers. Without the mandate, the still-sketchy Obama plan would leave twenty-eight million Americans uninsured; with the mandate, the estimates of the number left uninsured were well below ten million.” (p. 262-263)

It’s no big secret that Obama looked to RomneyCare to craft his plan. But this book may also serve to remind everyone of what is obviously an inconvenient truth for Mitt Romney.

For conservatives this is important because we need a conservative to get the nomination and Romney is not a conservative.

From Fox News:

The upcoming Fox News/Google debate Thursday in Florida comes at a time when growing numbers of voters are becoming so frustrated with President Obama they are vowing to vote against him. But, as demonstrated in a new national poll out Wednesday, Americans are still far more interested in voting against Obama than voting for anybody in the current Republican field.

At the debate, the candidates will have a chance to reveal that political X factor -- the quality that makes them not just competitive, but presidential. But while the right candidate may already be on stage, polls suggest voters haven't fallen in love with anybody yet.

This election is going to be the ABO election.  Anyone but Obama.  The Republican primary needs to be ABR.   Anyone but Romney.

If Romney is elected, all we will have is a Republican manager of big government.  The size of government will not be reduced and what Obama has implemented will become permanent.   We need to make our choice:  Perry, or Bachman, or Gingrich or Cain.  Any of them is better than Romney.

Oh I can see The Hermanator or S. Palin putting that witch in her place. She has certainly given

enough ammo to put her away. That woman has more baggage than American Airlines! ! !

Lets work to win the primary.  GThat is a MUST.  We need ABO as first choice putting ABR as our last choice.  There must be a candidate that can defeat Obama.  God help if he wins.
Romney is just another Obama folks. We would be jumping from frying pan into the fire. Perry is another that I will not trust as he has done nothing about immigration in Texas, claims his hands are tied. That is pure BS,Sheriff Joe in Arizona went against Obama and he is still standing tall. Perry is a coward folks. He wont stand for our constitution and his actions show he is not for freedom in USA.

The massive Washington, D.C. bureaucracy and spending industry that goes with it will never go away with our current method of funding the Federal Government, no matter who is President. It is mandatory that both be "starved out." Please see how to do this on the website www.constitutionalsupporttax.net. The CONSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT TAX (the CST) will do the following:

1. The power to levy Taxes, Imposts and Excises Congress currently has would be repealed from Article 1, Section 8, paragraph 1 of the Constitution, along with the 16th Amendment.

2. Paragraph 2, giving Congress power to borrow money would also be repealed.

3. Once Congress sets the Federal Budget each year, the Budget will be divided among the States by a formula that is fair to all States. This five-part formula is explained on the website.

4. At the State level, the people and State officials would decide how to pay their State's mandatory share of the Budget.

Using the States as this critical checkpoint, We the People will have much greater control over the Federal Government. Please see details of how the CST will work on the website. Political pressure point 4 of 8 toward the end of the website is key to reining in Federal expansionism.

A free society will not long exist if it constantly has a Soviet-style, command-and-control mechanism forced on it from errant political forces. Could Americans be enduring such a mechanism?

Also, please see the "two broad principles" of government in the introduction to Capitalism and Freedom by Milton Friedman.

The CST will be a valuable tool for maintaining far-closer compliance with Friedman's two broad principles than our current system of Federal Government finance.

He was also the instigator of same sex marriage, school teaching of the equivalency of gay lifestyle and $50 co-pay abortions.  Other than that, what is not to like about the guy?  He is just a white Obama.
I sorry folks, but Perry would thumb his nose at the Tea Party.  As I've stated before " She was Tea Party before Tea Party was cool" and let's not forget that.  How many other candidates have spoken favorable about us publicly like she has ????
Gingrich has been called a RINO but as House leader got the budget ballanced.  Is he ideal?  There was only one perfect person on earth and the results were not  too good.  Lets pick the candidate who can beat Obama.

Hey! All I want is a candidate who can beat Obama. All this BS is not helpful. Any of the Republican candidates are better than Obama. Sahra Palin says "anybody but Obama". I would phrase it "any Republican candidate is better than Obama".

Even Huntsman.

I just want to end Obama's rule and get on with rebuilding this country.

I'm from Mass. and could NEVER FORGIVE him for it.

My insurance went up on average of $1200 to $1500 hundred a year until I could no longer afford it and am now at the mercy of Mass. health. MOST DOCTORS DON'T ACCEPT IT!!

I want to see my doctors. So I do and have them send me the bill. Thank God I still have good health but I fear the day I need something big done. Plus he's a DAMN RINO!!

It's just a slower death of a country with them as apposed to quick suicide by the liberals.

My opinion is BOTH PARTIES have to go as their loyalty no longer remains to their country. Only to themselves.

It's like when they get elected they remove their spine on them and turn them to jellyfish!

Our nation is being led by JELLYFISH!!

Phil: romney and Obama= no difference. They are both liberal muslim who want new world order.
