One Wednesday, Barack Obama had his Marie Antoinette moment.  It is not hard to see.  Both Obama and the 18th Century French Queen share an amazing arrogance and disdain for the common man.

On Wednesday, Obama told Americans who were complaining about high gas prices to get used to them.  When one man complained, Obama laughed him off by telling him to trade in his gas guzzler that only gets eight miles a gallon!

This is the arrogance of a man who has not pumped his own gas in years, will probably never have to again and does not have to worry about the price of gas, nor its effect on the common man.

He is also the man responsible for soon to be $4 a gallon gas in this country.

He bloviates, saying it isn’t his fault.

Yes it is.

He and his regime keep putting more and more of our resources off limits.  We provide loan guarantees for foreign countries to drill off shore while not allowing it in the Gulf of Mexico.   His policy of destabilizing the Middle East is making prices skyrocket.  Put his economic policies which are making the dollar almost worthless are further pushing gas prices up

Remember candidate Obama?  In 2008, the last time gas prices spiked like this, he said his problem was not with the high prices, but only with the rapid rise in the prices.  Prices for gas have more than doubled under Obama.    His Energy Secretary has said he would like to see gas prices more in line with those in Europe, which translate to about $10 a gallon.

Of course, the drive by media has been silent on all of this.

In 2008, when George W. Bush was still president, we had nightly news stories on the horror of $4 a gallon gas.  Today, we do not.  Even Fox is relatively tame on this story.

A few months ago, a former executive for Shell Petroleum predicted $4 a gallon gas by this summer and $5 a gallon gas by next summer.

The good news for conservatives is, we have seen this before.  For those of us who lived though 1979-1980, this is déjà vu.   Back then; we had a President who was the most extreme leftist ever to hold the office.  His policies were a disaster for America.  He did not believe in America as a great country and wanted us to see more along the line of an impotent European socialist country.  He would not stand against our enemies either.

Gas prices soared under the Carter administration.  He blindly thought the American people would simply sign up for four more years of misery.  American taught him a lesson and put Ronald Reagan in the White House.  America thrived because of that decision.  In 2012, we are going to tell Obama we do not want four more years of his misery.  Our mission now is to find the good conservative to replace the un-American President.

Eugene the real question about Kennedy, Carter etc is " are they deceived or deceivers " . Some new recruits just like the glitz and tinsel of the DC life but some really " KNOW THE PLAN " but others like me " KNOW THEIR PLAN " one world gov. one world currency, one world religion. It is the tower of Babel revisited.
the only difference between hitler and obama is hitlers economy did actually improve.
When Jimmy Carter was in office I was stationed in Germany with the US Army and saw his effect on us troops.  All bad. Then in 1980, we elected Ronald Reagan and he gave all of us hope.  Unfortunately, unlike 1980, we have no Ronald Reagan running.  Reagan completed two terms of offcie in California, but failed to gain the Republican spot in 1976.  Ford was given the nod and we got Carter.  So it appears that we are stuck with the "One" for another four years.
dont get your hopes down. thats what the progressives game plan is to discourage the tea party and thats again because they fear what happened in november will happen in 2012 and it will. they acted cocky before the november elections too and look what happened. fox poll showed most people identify with the tea party than with congress.
I am not down, but a realist.  Of course Reagan is a once in a lifetime person.  He completed two terms of office of Governor for California and a year later ran for the first time for President.  Lost the nomination to Ford, then won in 1980.  Even in 1976, he was well known.  From what I see now no one comes close to those creditials.  I like Christie, but he has to complete his time in office and he does know that.  As for everyone else in the Republican field, sorry not good enough.  Maybe we have to go through another 4 years and then a Reagan or a Churchhill will be there.

RAYMOND ... Don't you understand?  Another four years and NOTHING WILL BE THERE.  This man ... this bad president ... will have destroyed America. Best always, John

I get it and know that our country is in serious trouble, but we do not have anyone groomed for the office right now.  That is the problem.  Too many years of spinlesss leadership in the GOP and a Good Ol' Boy network which allowed the Dems to ruin this country.  You think that they will allow anyone but another John McCain or Robert Dole run for President?  My money is that Romney will be the nominee and the GOP will try to sell us a bill of goods that we wish that we did not get. Just a Republican version of a Democrat.
Why do you think Michelle Bachman isn't good enough?
She has only legislative experience and attracts mainly the base.
That is why I like Chris Christie as he says it like it is.  Just like Reagan and Chruchill.  Christie needs to complete his term to gain a lot of respect.  If he steps down now to run for President, then it will come across that he is using the Governorship as a stepping stone and lose a lot of respect.
Actually, I feel the same way.  I would trust her with my children's future.
un-American President why because we like fruit cake ya right I don't want him back in office .This is the only un- American President we've had .Get him out of office.
